After having a stomach filling meal over at the Applebee's just across the parking lot, I'm suppose to be driving, so I need me a little Starbucky caffeine shot here! This location is just off the 50 freeway so super easy access on and off. I also go in with my crew for a last minute restroom stop and to check my email and do a quick little response for some work stuff. The WiFi works fine here for that. The restrooms are all clean, at least the one I used. It's just black coffee for me. I bring in my big thermo coffee carafe that just fits the cup holder in the front of the Suburban. You save 10 cents if you bring your own cup. or something like that, I just use my Starbucks card. They have little snacks and sandwiches if you need that, but we just ate so it's just coffee for us and then back on the road. read more

Favorite Starbucks to stop by on our way back from Tahoe! The bathrooms are clean and there is plenty of places to sit. Service is good - fast and friendly! We've only ever been in the morning, but they always have what we want in stock which is nice. We definitely will continue to come here when we go to Tahoe. read more

They have completely lost their way. New coffee system (which appears to be a commercial Keurig) makes TERRIBLE coffee and now we have to wait in line versus just having the counter person pour the coffee after you order. AND the new system leaves black sludge at the bottom of your cup which is disgusting! Counter staff cannot multitask and were rude. So they changed how they make the coffee so it tastes worse and is slower for the customers. Yeah - I'm out. read more

I come here often for coffee because I work right up the road off Ponderosa Road. No two Starbucks are the same! This is a principle that I have learned over my personal history of being over caffeinated. So, my experience with the drive through is much better than whenI have gone into the cafe.' The drive through staff are kind and nice with a pleasant sense of humor and they ask how is your day going and they always get my order right. When you get to the drive up window they are smiling and very energetic in the way that they engage you. When I go inside this eatery I have had mixed experiences on one occasion it took me 20 minutes to receive my order and there was hardly anybody in the shop. Another time I went in to order and one of the staff was training another lady and she was a bit harsh with her more than I was comfortable with as a customer who is standing at the cashier waiting for my order. I do think they do a wonderful job with their ice coffees and iced latte's because some of the other Starbucks in the area seem to dilute it too much. Nice place to come and work on your computer with a great couch and chairs. I will continue to come here! read more

I've never reviewed a SBUX before. For twenty years in the Bay Area it was convenience and location. Product and service ok. This SBUX is friendly, clean, and the drink I like taste better than any other SBUX locally. Side note- I regularly do my biz work from a SBUX. This one is spacious and well lit. The owner Cheryl doesn't know what she is doing. I heard her tell an employee they reuse all the old iced coffee before brewing a new batch. Drinks are made wrong all the time (just check the other reviews) It's clear standards aren't being met. An employee told me she didn't recommend me getting iced coffee from this location because they don't make it fresh when every other Starbucks does, they just reuse old iced coffee. The sandwiches in the display case were all moldy and you can clearly see they wrap up pastries to resell that are supposed to be fresh daily. Who knows what their doing that you can't see! Go to a better Starbucks. read more

I don't think I've ever written a review for a Starbucks or any major chain since most of the time nothing really stands out from one to another, but I had to give this particular Starbucks 5 stars because of their stellar customer service and positive vibes each time I've dropped in on my way to Tahoe (which is anywhere from 8-10 times a year!). It's always a perfect pit stop and place to stretch between South Bay and South Lake Tahoe (and Fork Lift next door is seriously awesome for road trip snacks!). In particular, this afternoon around 1:30 or so, the main barista making the drinks was so awesome! I regret not getting his name, but he was blond if that helps! He informed me they were out of almond milk, so I just said to go ahead and use soy milk. He was singing along and making funny voices when calling out drinks for customers to pick up. Just a refreshing experience at a place most people just drop in and out of, without a thought or they're half awake! Thanks for the positive vibes, dude! To top this off my iced soy latte was on point and he gave me a 'Your next drink is on us" gift card to make up for not having almond milk. These guys rock :) read more

If I could've left 0 stars, I would have. I'm all for respecting social distancing and wearing masks - hey, it's what we're all dealing with right now. However, the staff of this Starbucks is operating with protocols that I DOUBT corporate is aware of. I mobile ordered, arrived, masked up and headed for the door. Only to find it locked and sign stuck to the window saying to access mobile orders, go to a side door. Ok - no problem.... so I headed for the side door. Got there. That door was locked too. Mind you, this isn't some rinky dink store, this is a fairly large store. Filled with merchandise cups, etc. To which I have to ask the question - if you're literally locking your doors to the public, ok, but how are you selling the merchandise? This makes zero sense and this was the first Starbucks I've seen that quite literally locked their doors to the public. The drive thru is open, but they might as well disable their mobile order capability. Thank God there's another Starbucks - well, everywhere really. ;) read more

New location must mean new staff because the wait to order was over five minutes (I was the only one in the inside line) and then I became the third person in line waiting to get my drink, which took another ten minutes because the barista was chatting with a "regular" who was hanging on the glass partition, leaning over the machines with who knows what shaking out of his clothes into the drinks! One drink was ordered "no whip", but was made with whip, and when I questioned it the barista simply scraped the whip off and handed it back to me! I commented "that's what happens when you get to talking" and the person who was talking to the barista told me he didn't appreciate it that I "put her down", among other choice comments made as we sat at our table! It is time that I write something about this absolutely amazing Starbucks that I happened to stop by in October 2011. I was going from SFO to Lake Tahoe with my parents and sister and we stopped at this Starbucks, not knowing that it'll be one of the best experience ever, and that too at a Starbucks location. Well, what can be so special about a Starbucks location? After all, it is 'just' a Starbucks. In this case, this particular Starbucks set an example of exemplary customer service and showed that Starbucks is more than just a place to grab some coffee. We grabbed a pizza from a place next door, and sat outside while waiting for our beverages. While I was adding sugar to my coffee, the district manager for Sacramento, CA location, Rob Webb, himself served the drinks to my parents and sister and I've never come across a more friendly and nicer person than Mr Rob Webb at this Starbucks. First of all, he let us eat the pizza on his premises and showed absolutely no grudge about it, and he seemed to be genuinely interested in talking to his customers and making them feel at home and also making sure that the beverages are made exactly the way the customer likes. When we were about to leave, he went a step ahead when he took a photograph with us all and to our further surprise, he gift-wrapped two Starbucks coffee mugs and gave it to us. That gesture totally surprised us as never before, I've seen this friendliness at any Starbucks location. I emailed him the pictures later on and he replied saying: "It was so great meeting you and your family! You truly made my day this day. This is what Starbucks is all about. . . the human connection. Meeting and making and friend. I hope you had a great time in Tahoe and had a safe trip home. My best to your parents and sister. Thank you for the pictures! Rob" read more

Over the last year or so this location has really improved their hiring and has brought on some great, fun, and personable employees. Even though Starbucks is a big chain this place has the local coffee shop feel! This location also recently underwent a make over... That was an improvement as well. Nice work! read more

Employees are friendly, I have one question. I've been their twice. First order was "Chai Tea Latte " this tasted watered down, very disappointed. Second order "standard "Latte " also tasted watered down! Is it because this is a new location or are the employees directed to water down orders? The environment is upbeat yet calm so you can relax, work on your computer or simply visit with friends. The coffee is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Not the BEST Starbucks but they do get my order right. But this Starbucks is so much BETTER then the one in EDH town center. My only thing really is they won't give you ice water anymore when latterly every Starbucks I go to besides target ones there like here's a venti water have a nice day or here let me fill your hydro flask up for you. I don't get that at this Starbucks for some reason. Any other places it's like oh yeah. It took nearly 30 minutes for my mobile order to come out. At the 10 minute mark, they insisted that there were 6 drinks ahead of me but they are going through them fast. The whole time, I was watching a barista in an apron with the name Sierra written on it. She was not dressed professionally. Her hair was up in a messy bun, wearing jeans and a striped white and tan t-shirt. She moved like a sloth. There was no sense of urgency from her like I could feel from her co-workers during the rush. She was chatting it up with coworkers and customers while making 1 drink 5 minutes at a time. You could tell she did not want to be there working. It's frustrating for other customers waiting and getting their orders mixed up. I do not recommend this store for mobile orders. read more
