OMG. I never understood the hype for Dutch Bros. Coffee. I thought coffee was just coffee until I've had to have it. Hands down, Dutch Bros. coffee is so much better (& cooler) than other branded-chains. The flavor is so good and intense. Something about it is just more flavorful than other shops. In addition, their baristas & crew members are all holly-jolly & enthusiastic; hence, they'll even chop it up with you & check on how your day is going. Can't get that at the other branded-chains that we all know! They also are quite hyped up when it comes to their seasonal beverages - in other words, don't sleep on it! LOL! I happen to be in the area for work, and have gone here twice to start my work day - and I just love how they are able to get everyone through the line in a quick & friendly manner. No matter how long the line is, the turn around is always quick. Just make sure to know what you will order, once the barista comes up to you with their tablets! Take note that they can customize your drinks to your liking - and if you're not a fan of overly sweet drinks - they can make that happen for you! I know from experience that most of their concoctions can be on the sweeter side, so I've 'trial'd & error'd' my go-to drinks by requesting for 'quarter sweet' and/or 'half sweet'. It is not super busy, the line is never super long and the staff I have encountered here have all been pleasant, friendly and welcoming. I never went to a Dutch Bros until they opened this location because there aren't that many locations nearby. I've always been a Starbucks kind of girl--not because I love their drinks but because Starbucks is conveniently located everywhere. LOCATION: This Dutch Bros. is conveniently located next to Sprouts in the Stone Creek Village shopping center. TIME: The thought of a drive thru coffee place didn't initially appeal to me because I hate long drive thru lines and the inability to go inside and order if I want to but this location keeps it moving pretty quickly. They have two drive thru lanes. I've never waited in line for more than a few minutes. There is also an option to walk to the opposite side of the drive thru window and order by foot. VALUE: After coming here several times now, I have to say that now I get what the hype is about. My go-to drink is their Strawberry Zero Sugar Iced Green Tea. It's absolutely delicious and so refreshing! For $5.15, I got a large; their large is 32 oz. A comparable drink at Starbucks (Iced Passion Tango Tea) at the same size is $4.75 but only 24 oz. SERVICE: Dutch Bros' prices are not only better than Starbucks' but their service is way better, too. The employees are always smiling and making small talk. They remind me of Trader Joe's employees. The first time I came here, I had just brought my dog back from the groomer and she was in the back. She happened to bark right when I pulled up and the employee asked if I wanted a Pup Cup for her. Recommendation from her was the 911 which is 6 shots of espresso, which is what I would drink. It was good amount of coffee and milk to get me through my 5am work shift. She spends TOO MUCH time talking and is so slow at taking orders! I get to the window and have to repeat my order, THREE times because the person couldn't get it down correctly. It seems they are always having a glitch with their screens and even when you see no cars in the drive thru they take over 15 minutes to take your order and make the drink. They're drinks guys???!?!! First, the drinks are amazing. 10/10 not gonna lie. From chocolatey Brownie Batter, to the Golden Eagle, fantastic. I love coming to this location, super friendly, very efficient and they make an awesome drink this establishment is gonna be located in the same parking lot as Sprouts Farmers Market. My go to drink is the white chocolate latte extra sweet double cup with whip and every time you go to Dutch Bros when you have them, scan your phone, your points towards free drinks plus on your birthday you get a free drink. This is definitely one of my favorite locations to go to super friendly staff very energetic and they make an awesome drink. If you have not tried them I would suggest looking at dutchbros.com. I was so excited when this location opened. Honestly, I go less now because of how inefficient they are. Two unpleasant experiences 1. Guy who took my order put it in super wrong even after repeating it to me. Got to the window and they tried giving me the wrong drink twice, and kept asking me what I ordered. They had to re input and make my order. 2. They cannot get their lines right. At other locations they are really good about knowing generally who was there first in the two lines and ensuring some sort of order. Here, they don't care. We pulled into the second line behind someone, but only one person was taking orders. She never moved to our lane and the car in front of us let 2 other side cars go before we honked for them to move forward. The car behind us had their order taken before us and when we got to the window they were scrambling because cars were out of order. They finally sent a second person to help out, but the person could have done better. It's just unorganized and poorly managed. Maybe block off a lane if they have one person taking orders?People like to pile in one lane and then get mad when someone gets to cut into the line., so one lane would help.
