Okay, I admit that I have missed the mark and that this eatery deserves five stars. I gave it 4 stars in my last review because the parking can be challenging. Through some reflection I have had to admit that this is one of my favorite places to eat in the foothills. The young ladies that work here are always so pleasant and they serve with a smile. I usually get the Cranberry Turkey wrap and they give you allot of meat and I never walk away feeling disatisfied. The coffee is not bitter and is always on point and the banana bread is AWESOME and every Type 2 Diabetic says ... AMEN! Be warned, order was completely messed up. Was informed by staff that their ordering system occasionally messes up and doesn't list what they were supposed to make. They have taken no steps to fix this or ensure it doesn't happen and they hope that people come back to get the correct stuff they ordered according to the two staff I talked to. Edit: In response; I did get a replacement sandwich and was in the store for several minutes. I'm fine with human error; before I left the first time they forgot my daughters muffin, I noticed, they remedied, and it did not bother me. If you were in the store the entire time I was there why did you not correct them when they blamed the OS or see that they made the corrected sandwich? read more

Stopped by on a whim as an alternative to the chain with the mermaid. The iced tea I got my wife and latte for my work from home daughter were both hits. I went for my usual latte' this morning and it looks like they've hired two new young kids. I like this because they're in high school and they are learning to become responsible. I've watched as the last group graduated and went off to college, wondering whats inspired but secure in the knowledge that this job has give them. A simple smile, a schedule, a following of rules, a purpose, even the art of conversation with returning customers. It's fairest step but an important one. My latte' was iced and served with a smile. That's what I want in the morning. Sometimes i get a home made coffee muffin, heated.. I've also brought my 3 yr old granddaughter who aways asks for the muffin with the most frosting and then only eats the frosting.. I have been here a total of three times. The first time my muffin was stale( maybe off day I thought) . The second time I gave a chance it took over 25 minutes to get one breakfast sandwich ( that was made wrong ) and there were three people in the restaurant the girls were talking to each other a lot. This Third time I came back the girl with the black hair was extremely rude for no reason at all ( slammed and pushed my coffee to me a walked away saying nothing) . Not sure if she was just having a bad day but you don't put it out on your customers that are paying you a lot of money . Price and food are not worth it the attitude. Wish I didn't give a tip and wished I had time to get a refund. My bagel was completely wet like they dipped it in water and the chocolate muffin I got was ice cold like it just came from the freezer a few hours before. Rude girl horrible food don't go here. My wife and I visited this coffee shop today. Let me start with the things we liked. We loved the ambience inside the coffee shop. It's very quaint and homey and inviting. There are also tables outdoors where you can sit in nice weather. We also both love the sandwiches we had. I had the spicy BLT, and my wife had the chicken pesto. Both were delicious. The other thing we really liked was their prices. They are considerably less expensive than other comparable sandwiches or coffee drinks that you will buy elsewhere. Our frappes were large and were $4.50! Lastly we really liked that the owner had Scripture posted visibly for the customers to read. Today it was Philippians 4:6-7. Being Christians ourselves we appreciate this witness to inspiring truth. The thing that was not so good were the oreo frappes. Don't get me wrong they tasted great! The problem was that the ice was not ground up small enough and the straws were very tiny both in diameter and length. We found it very difficult to suck the drink through the straw. There is a really simple fix - longer and wider straws. If that were done I would give this place 5 stars! We decided that next time we would need to bring straws with us. All in all we really enjoyed our experience here. read more

My sister and I decided we wanted to try this place, as we'd driven by many times but never stopped in. We are both baristas so we love to support small coffee shops (I even work at one myself), and try new spots as often as possible. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was nice, nothing particularly exciting but nice! There are like 4 tables inside so not a bunch of seating but nice for small get-togethers. We noticed they had a bunch of gluten free muffins which I was excited about because my best friend can't eat gluten. We waited in line while I soaked in the Christian atmosphere (as a Non-Christian person, it was a bit weird but I am not here to judge, I am all about religious freedom). I just didn't expect there to be so much religious decor everywhere. Nonetheless, my sister and I ordered our food and drinks. I got a vanilla latte iced and the Spicy BLT. I was super stoked for the chimichuri primarily. The lady at the register was nice, she was a younger brunette girl. While we were ordering, the lady who I assume to be the owner came out onto the floor behind the bar. The girl who took our order made our drinks (which were okay, my latte kind of tasted like it was drip coffee but as I have already said, I wasn't hear to judge). She told us that our food would be brought to us, so that's what we assumed, naturally. The "owner" seemed pretty disorganized and they were talking about how they'd lost tickets and so on, but my sister and I were staying positive. Everybody has off days! After waiting 30 minutes and hearing multiple orders being called out, my sister decided to ask about our food, She was very polite in asking. The girl who took our order had no idea what we'd gotten, despite it not really having been busy, so we reminded her. The owner then stepped in and said "oh I called that out but nobody came" in a rude, condescending tone. First of all, we were both watching and listening for our order, so I think she straight up forgot to call it out. Second, the way she spoke to my sister was unnecessarily rude considering her disorganization is seemingly the issue in this establishment. I think she forgot to call it out and didn't want to admit that, so she tried to make my sister feel dumb. Not to mention, we were told our order would be BROUGHT TO US. Drinks were fine, food was fine, it was good but my sandwich had no chimichurri. I want to believe that this was an off day but honestly, based on the owners behavior, we still won't be going back. We are kind understanding ladies and all she had to do was apologize and give us our order. Overall super bummed but also have plenty of spots locally I love so it's okay. I hope that the "owner" develops better communication skills for her team and her customers. Maybe one day we'll try again, but I don't see why we would. Especially after $40 of a simply okay experience. Try this place if you want but don't expect a life changing experience. If the owner read this, I mean no ill will but I think sometimes we all need to be checked. Treat your customers with kindness, because especially people like us who are so mellow and kind, really don't deserve that. I wish this establishment the best! read more

Nice little cafe. Had a polish dog, turkey sandwich, potato salad, and a peanut butter cookie. Everything was good. Best part was the cookie. Reason for 2 stars.... My mom ordered a smoothie. It was disgusting. She's not the type to complain but I encouraged her to go to the counter and let them know it wasn't good. She did just that and the girl at the counter basically told her she was wrong. That it wasn't bad. No offer to make a new drink, nothing. I thought that was rude and bad customer service.
