Came by for a pickup mobile order around 6:30/7:00 am. I come by this location fairly often, typically through the drive thru. In my mobile order, I selected an in-store pickup, which worked out since the drive-thru looked a little backed up. When I came in, the baristas welcomed and thanked me. They were super nice and really fostered a good environment in the store. When I went to leave, they wished me a great day. As for my drink, I got the S'more's Frappuccino since it was back for a short time, but oat milk substituted. The drink was made well, tasted great, and looked picture perfect. The store was also very clean inside, some nice coffee house music was playing - great energy level considering it was early, and there is plenty of parking, including handicap spaces. read more

My husband and I stopped by to grab some drinks. His drink came out perfectly! My drink had more ice in it than I had ever seen before. This resulted in my Venti drink having less liquid than a tall. It's disappointing spending so much money on a drink to only get 5 sips out of it. I could not get the straw to go in my drink and my husband had to man handle the thing to get the straw in due to the amount of ice. read more

We paid $8 for a iced caramel macchiato with cold foam and is a black iced coffee, with lots of cream, and regular with cold foam ($6). Nothing was correct and we waited 20 minutes for it. No caramel syrup, no extra caramel drizzle, they're always out of pumpkin cold foam so don't even bother, you mostly get milk. Wow, this is my go-to morning or afternoon coffee place. Today I didn't get any coffee but I did get one of the amazing refreshers. My order is a Mango Dragonfruit refresher w/ coconut milk. Some days you can't order ahead, some days you can. Some days you can go inside and order, some days you can't. You can't plan ahead if you are getting your coffee here. Really like this new Starbucks location on Daniel Island. Went by yesterday for the first time and was greeted by a couple of friendly baristas. After taking my order I asked about some taps that were on the counter and they let me sample their nitro cold coffee; which is very good and strong and very hip; but I'm more of an old fashioned coffee drinker and believe that coffee should be hot. The young lady that was working was super friendly to my daughter and gave her a special kids frappicino (whip cream in a cup), which my daughter loved. The design of this location is a little more modern than the traditional stores, and it's very pleasing to the eye. My only thing is that maybe they get some more comfortable lazy chairs to hang out and relax in while having coffee. read more

Finally a Starbucks closer to home! This location is HUGE! A big interior with lots of seating, and nice patio out front. Parking is out back, but be careful crossing the drive thru path to enter here. Inside it is so modern with plenty of seating options. I usually order just one thing, cold brew coffee, so I ordered it. But here they have Nitro cold brew. This velvety smooth cold brew was delicious. Yes, it does cost even more than the regular cold brew. I tried it, but I like their regular Narino cold brew coffee, on ice. It's my morning coffee thing. This Daniel Island location is good, with all the coffee features you seek: hot coffee, frappuccinos, smoothies, refreshers, and a case full of pastries. The service has also been good, as I have stopped by 4x this week. Friendly greets, helpful engagement about the menu or coffees when needed. I will now be frequenting this location for my Starbucks fix. With plenty of parking the drive through does not cluster up the parking area as the one in MtP does. Horrible, this worker is horrible. My daughter came home so upset because a worker named Donnie made her move her bike out of the way twice in a span of a week. Before this he has gotten mad at her, told her her drink was right (when it was wrong) And many other things. Daniel island has many children a day coming to starbucks. Almost every time I see him giving a kid an order he is completely disrespectful to every kid he makes contact with. He has screamed at her and made her get up from her seat to move her bike TWICE he is an adult he should not be getting mad at 13 year old girls. Maybe younger? I have never seen him disrespectful to an adult. Just because they are younger does not mean he has a reason to SCREAM at children. This man has a serious issue. Sad to say that I'd rather drive 20 minutes off the island to a different location when this one is right down the road from me. I ordered ahead this morning and it took them 30 mins to even start my drink. Then once they made it - it was wrong. It took me 40 minutes to just get my coffee this morning. I work food/Bev so I understand a lot of business are struggling right now, but there were more employees behind the counter than there were customers in the lobby and the drive through was not backed up. This is a typical Starbucks with all the expected beverages and food products. It's fairly new, so still working out some kinks with the new staff. Pretty slow getting through the line and the barista was unable to answer fairly basic food questions from the person in front of me. The store is extra large! Someone said it was the largest in South Carolina and it is believable. On the downside, the trash cans were overflowing and there was a lot of debris on the floor - looks like it hasn't been swept out in several days. The seating needs to be cleaned off and wiped down also. Many chairs and tables had the dried remains of spills. It's a great addition to Daniel Island and I hope they improve service and cleanliness too. read more

This review is solely regarding Julie the manager on duty today at Starbucks. Everyone else there is super nice. I've never had a problem in two years of going there. I ordered my drink as usual and then presented a card that I had gotten from this Starbucks about two months ago that says "your next drink is on us up to a value of four dollars." I originally got the card from them because they had messed up my order and they felt bad so they gave me the card while I waited, which I thought was a very nice gesture. I have lived on Daniel Island for two years and come to the Starbucks at least three times a week. But today Julie refused to accept the card because she said it was either not loaded or I had already used it. I explained to her that I had not used it (as I still had the card) and that it said clearly on it that it was valid for four dollars. She said it was not going to work because it was not loaded correctly and claimed that I did not get it at this Starbucks. I was shocked at her poor attitude- I told her that I did get it at this Starbucks and that it was valid for four dollars because it was clearly listed on the card and if it was not loaded correctly, it was not my fault. The poor kid at the window kept apologizing, and I assured him that it was not his fault but Julie was belligerent, argumentative, and patronizing. He said if I would give him my phone to scan it then he would give me the card back and I could contact corporate. So I gave him my phone and scanned my credit card. But then Julie came back to the window and told me that the card wasn't going to work regardless (when I said that I was going to contact someone about it because it clearly said that there was four dollars on it) She then took the card from the kid at the window and said "just give her her drink." So I ended up paying for a drink and losing my four dollar card. I am so disappointed with her attitude and shocked that she is the manager. read more

This Starbucks is my favorite location in Charleston! My drinks are always perfect, everyone is friendly, and service is quick. Yesterday I met the manager (I think)-Brandie and she was either interviewing or training an employee. She had a French press of Sumatra on the table, and not only did I learn they serve French press , she also went to get some cups to share the pot with us! It was DELICIOUS!!! We saw her again today and she made a point to come over to greet us. I met a few other employees today by name too. Such a great culture! This place has evolved into one of the best Starbucks that I've visited over the course of several years and countries. This is not the first time I've tried this Starbucks. Let me tell you. I'm a gold card carrying Uber platinum card caring member of Starbucks. One to two stops a day. Two to three drinks per visit. What can I say. We really like Starbucks. Every time I've come to the store we have had an issue. Sometimes my drink is wrong. Most of the time it just takes forever to get it. Today I showed up at 3:45 and parked to walk in only to find a sign on the door that said please use drive-through today. Since we were in two separate cars it took a minute to decide what everyone wanted. By the time I drove into the drive-through line. It was 401. The drive-through lady says we closed at four sorry goodbye I said please it's 401 and we literally tried to walk in before four. She said we closed at four. She offered to give me the managers card. Worst Starbucks ever! They care more about chatting amongst themselves than getting orders correct. They clearly aren't trained correctly because I order the same drink all over the country and have never had so much trouble getting it correct than I do at my home location. Today the barista couldn't even put the lid on my coffee and as a result it spilled all over my arms and legs when I carried it out of my car. It obviously burnt me, but beyond that I'm just so frustrated that the employees at this location are so inept they can't even complete the simplest task, let alone fulfill orders correctly.
