Stopped by yesterday with the intention of ordering anything BUT what I usually order at Starbucks. Never been to this location before, but it was delightful. All of the baristas behind the counter were so pleasant and friendly. I mentioned that I'd never actually tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte before and the person who took my order joked with the guy making it "It's her first one, so make it great!" He did. I grew up in the Charleston area and when I could afford to buy a house, I bought in Belle Hall Plantation in Mt Pleasant. This Starbucks was a frequent stop for me and I got to know the baristas and other customers who frequented this location. Once I got married and started having children (two girls who are now 17 and 15), I would bring them with me to enjoy a treat and just hang out. Back in those days, the decor was comfy chairs and couches, which encouraged you to hang out. It was sort of like a community center. In fact, when I had my second child, I'd get stir crazy when I was on maternity leave and would come here sometimes to break up my day. The baristas would give my older daughter (at the time 2 and a half) stickers and they'd heat my younger daughters bottle for me while I was able to enjoy my coffee. What a lovely place. Now it's more like an assembly line and tables and chairs shoved in and people working...not that there's anything wrong with that. It's a busy Starbucks and they've changed with the times and the ebbs and flows of demand. I bet this is one of the busier Starbucks in the area. They still make a mean Americano. read more

This is a pretty standard SB location but a little unique in that it has two entrances which based on your caffeine level could be confusing. We came in needing a caffeine influx and got exactly what we needed in a decent amount of time. The inside was nice but not as inviting as other locations. The layout made it feel not so warm and cozy. I think it is due to the 2 entrances. The staff was friendly but like many SB locations you get the rushed feeling form them. We got their new offerings - The Iced Vanilla Bean Coconut Latte and the Salted Caramel Cold Foam Cold Brew. They were both very good and lightly sweet which was perfect. The taste of the coffee came through well pronounced. Very nice addition to the menu and well worth trying if you haven't had one of them yet. read more

This has to be one the busiest Starbucks I've been in. It's usually packed no matter what time of day I've been there. As far as a Starbucks stores go this store is pretty solid; fast and friendly service and all the typical fair of a Starbucks. The location is great too, located off 526 on Long Point between Mt. Pleasant and Daniel Island; making it the perfect place to grab a coffee on the way to work in the mornings should the mood strike. The only thing that make this Starbucks better is a drive-thru. read more

Pretty consistent with other Starbucks but this location is better than most I've been to. It does stay pretty busy so be aware you might not find a table available for your work meeting or study session. This is most likely due to the fact that there isn't much else around for this type of meetup. Also, there's tons of table's, many with plugs, and free wifi. other than the potential noise when its completely full, this is a great escape for work-from-home-ers. I haven't had this issues of staff being slow but, I only go from time to time and never usually at a time when there's a big rush. They have a bunch of tables outside for when the weather's nice and every experience I've had has been a pleasurable one. read more

This Starbucks is my go to for the location. It's so convenient to work that's it's the best option. Lately though, I just wish some days I have more time to make my way to a different one. It was always fairly fast with highly quality but the struggle recently is becoming the norm. I've noticed a lot of newbies working there so maybe they are just trying to get their groove but it's just inconsistent. It took me less time waiting in a line to the door than it does now with just one or two people in front of me. The quality of the drinks are lacking. If you have time to go to a different Mt. Pleasant location, I highly suggest it...at least until they step it up. read more

This Starbucks has some serious issues. They seem to scramble when doing the most basic orders. Forget mobile ordering because it is so inconsistent it does not work. Sometimes your get there and wait 20mins for your mobile order and then when you give them more time they do it fast and your drink sits there and is cold. Bad!!! read more

Not sure why this location has so few stars. Their service is always speedy and the staff is super friendly. A special shout out to Suzy who is a ray of sunshine every morning. She exemplifies customer service on all levels. People say it's super busy, so I don't know if I'm going at off-peak hours or if I have a different idea of busy but I havent noticed, and if it is then the staff does a great job hiding it with their prompt service. An absolute embarrassment to the Starbucks franchise. Out of all the Charleston area Starbucks, this one is the slowest. And it's not because they get the most people. The staff is extremely slow moving and inefficient. They were telling each customer their drink would be a 10-15 minute wait. I'm ashamed that this place is allowed to carry the Starbucks name. Please, do yourself a favor and visit the new store on Daniel Island or one of the other great ones in Mount Pleasant. Stopped in to test the new Maple Pecan Latte. Perhaps I'm a heretic, but when the "season" hits and we start seeing "pumpkin everything," I just want to gag. MPL is a Starbucks' alternative offering for the fall lineup. For all the fans, yes, you can still get your PSL. What I love about Starbucks: no matter where I am in the world, I get my faves served consistently. Each time I visit this location, the baristas are friendly and work the line quickly. And, as others have suggested, there's almost always a line. The location--right off the central entrance to the Belle Hall shopping center is great, but not quite large enough for the volume. Tables line the wall opposite the counters, and are excellent--if you can get one. There are a couple of comfy chairs inside, and several outdoor seating options. Because of where this Starbucks is sited, they have no option to expand unless another space opens. So, what did I think of MPL? The flavor is warm and sweet, but not overly so. Latte drinkers will find this a fine option. My faves tend to be either unsweetened or include chocolate--I want to try the new dark chocolate frap next. I LOVED my fall cup: teal, with an owl. read more

This Starbucks is located in a great location and because of that, they often get busy to the point where the line wrapped around the inside of the store. Because the store is not overly wide, during these busy times it can feel a little crowded if you're not already seated, but not too much to where it would be unsettling if you were claustrophobic (I imagine anyway). When it does get busy, the staff is always on the ball and can clear out there line pretty quickly - even the "I've ordered and now I'm just waiting for my coffee" line generally moves pretty quick - but not as quick to keep up with the register line. My only issue: when ordering a coffee that has creamer in it, they often put too much in - causing the drink to be milky colored. My recommendation would be to get the drink with no creamer and then put your own in at the sugar/creamer stand. read more

I like coffee. I used to like Starbies more, I have a gold rewards card. Today my vanilla latte was not good. It tasted like hot milk, no espresso flavor and no vanilla flavor. I find the specialty coffee drinks here to be inconsistent and weak. Best bets are brewed coffee, cold brew iced coffee, and reserve coffee brewed in a special Clover machine (not available in all stores). Another good option is skipping the lines, purchasing their coffee at the supermarket, and making it yourself at home. read more

Starbucks in Belle Hall, I really wish you would get it together! After placing my order I watched six people who ordered after I did get there coffee before I got mine. When I asked the cashier where was my coffee she stated that it was in line-up and coming up next. Wrong again! So I then asked the barista, Dakota, where was my order she said, "oh, it's coming up next." Just really!!!!! It was next because I was the only one left waiting on an order. Fabulous. What's to say: it's a Starbucks, and it's a good one, in my book. The staff were very friendly, and they laughed among one another throughout my visit, lending an air of joy and playfulness to the space. There was plenty of seating, inside and out, and I had no problem finding a good spot, where I proceeded to enjoy a nice, long lunch with company of a book, just watching the world pass by. Then, to top it off: a clean bathroom. I left feeling a certain kind of satisfaction, the kind you just can't buy. Truly, it was a memorable experience for me, as only such a "little" thing can be. I love Starbucks but this location needs better customer service. Went in Sat morning. I ordered a grande mocha and egg white bites. Poor girl who took my order seemed overwhelmed by the long line of people still waiting to pick up their. She was sad faced and unfriendly. After I ordered I noticed a sign from manager Katie explaining they were training new people. I know what it's like to be training at a new job so I was pleasant, I waited, but it took 45min!!!! to get my order. That's too long and pretty ridiculous. They can and need to do better. Also, please tell your employees to use a loud, clear voice when calling out names of ready orders or mobile orders. Nobody could hear what orders were ready and that just added to the confusion! read more

This is an extremely busy Starbucks, with a variety of seating options, including a few large tables with power built in them, good for a group study session. This isn't really a gripe but a warning about their new pastry options. I went in recently with only about 15 mins to get my coffee, some thing to eat and leave. After waiting in line for about 7 minutes, I was going to get a breakfast sandwich but decided against it because I know they need to be warmed up and I thought it would take too long...so I thought fine, I'll get a chocolate croissant (one of their new items) and a drip coffee and be on my way...she gave my coffee almost right away but had forgotten my croissant. It was really busy and I didn't want to be a pain in the ass right away so I waited a minute or two. I asked about the croissant and she said oh they need to go in the toaster. I was like what? She tried to tell me something about how the butter needs to be woken up and that it tastes so much better toasted (which I am inclined to agree) but wished I had known that ahead of time because I wouldn't have ordered it at that moment. The barista seemed very intent on convincing me that I needed to eat this croissant warm so she gave me a cold one (for free) and my warmed up one so I could see the difference. Being a lover of croissants, I appreciated her commitment to making sure my chocolate croissant eating experience was wonderful, I just didn't have the time for it this particular morning. She is indeed 100% correct that the warmed up one was significantly better than the cold one and I wouldn't recommend it any other way. So fair warning dear Yelpers, don't order a croissant from Starbucks when you are in a hurry... This Starbucks gets 5 stars for efficiency, friendliness and competency! read more

A solid Starbucks - very busy on Sunday am but moved fairly quickly. The only issue I had is that the barista kept like, updating the status of peoples' drinks - so people would think their beverage was ready because it was, "Sara, your peppermint frappe...is coming right up!" There is no drive through but I think that makes the service better. Warning though, they get extremely busy during peak times in the mornings and they are not very fast so it's not always the best place to stop if you are in a hurry.
