We went I today for two lattes. After a reasonable time the first latte came up, with no mention of the second one. We asked, and they pointed to an empty cup at the machine and said it was coming. Five minutes later, the empty cup was still sitting at the machine as they filled other mobile orders. Our name just went further down the list on the display. I asked again after another five minutes and they said there were a lot of mobile orders. I said I would like a latte or a refund. No reply. No apology. Finally we got the second latte. The Drum Hill Starbucks is a very busy location, which is located in the Chelmsford Plaza. I've stopped at this Starbucks countless times over the years, since it's conveniently located off of US 3. This store does not have a drive-thru, which is a good thing in IMO. The staff can focus on making great drinks for one line of customers (first come first served) instead trying to do too much at the same time (going inside vs using the drive-thru). I also like to go inside for my cup of fresh brewed dark roast and stir in the appropriate amount of sugar and half & half. The seating area is crowded and packed close together and there is also high seating along the front window (with power outlets too). I enjoy my afternoon coffee here while using my laptop to catch up on work. The service has improved here with good friendly service and no lines out the door as another Yelper mentioned. I can remember the long lines here many years ago during the morning hours. I put up with it since there were very few Starbucks stores in the area at the time. ACCESS: The access to/from this store can be tricky especially during busy times. It can be difficult turning in and out of very busy Drum Hill Rd. When placing the order they didn't tell me that in order to have both bacon and sausage on a sandwich you have to order two sandwiches. Since noticing the new drive thru Starbucks being built a few stores down, I wonder what they'll do with this location. I've noticed the past few years the quality just isn't as good as it used to be. Of course, this specific Starbucks is much better than the one in target in Lowell, but the fact that these two are some of the only Starbucks options in the area is so disappointing. I think they've done as best as they could with Covid, and they're super fast with their online orders. I don't want to entirely bash on this location because I have seen a lot of inconsistency in drink recipes at multiple locations. I'm not sure if it's because they need hires ASAP so there's less training, or the recipes changed to compensate for lack of ingredients because of Covid. I've noticed that since Covid they've gotten even more busy, maybe because of the new specialty drinks? I'm hoping this additional drive thru location will remain an addition and not a relocation. I think the store/customers will really benefit from having less customers per hour and more time on making drinks right. read more

This is always a very busy location, but the staff does a better job here than most MASS locations that get just half the business. They also have a Clover machine. Parking lot makes for easy and in out to get back towards the highways. They even have room for you to get on your laptop and get your work done. One of the few Starbucks in the area that still feels like they are telling us customers that it is okay to actually hang out like we used to. This is a case of a failed reaction to a complaint about a sub-par coffee. My cousin ordered a Grande Medium brew with salted caramel and mocha syrup. About halfway through the drink she noticed a lot of grounds in the coffee. She brought the drink back up to the barista and told her about the grounds, and the barista blamed the salt topping! My cousin pulled off the lid and tried to show her that the inside of the cup was covered in coffee grounds, but the barista just snipped, "Fine, I'll make you a new one" and then whispered something snide to the other worker (cashier). No apology. When my cousin again offered the cup to her to see the grounds, the barista quickly snatched the cup, angrily poured the coffee down the drain and snottily said, "Have a nice day". This particular Starbucks is my go to for consistently awesome coffee, lattes, and teas. The baristas are always friendly, and helpful with suggestions when I want to try something new. The inside of the store is kind of small, but it is usually a quiet place to go to use the free wi-fi or read a book. My only complaint would be the long wait in the drive-thru, but I guess that's to be expected when each drink is made so specific. read more

I'm a starbucks addict and because this location is right down the street from me, this is my stop before starting my day and sometimes when I'm ending it. The staff is just amazing and knows my boyfriends order like the back of the hands. I wish I could say they know mine but I'm constantly changing my drinks, but they definitely know my name. They make the drinks so delicious and whenever I need help deciding on what I want or when I want to be creative, they're spot on! I was so happy to see Mandi work at this location, I've been serviced by her when I worked on rt 9 in Framingham at shopper's world and her attitude and personality has not changed. I ordered my coffee when I was about 10 minutes away, got to location and had to park at the opposite end of the plaza. I go inside and notice that it is an absolute zoo. Waited an additional 6 minutes, still no coffee. I asked the barista how much longer and she noted that mine was still 5th in-line to be made. So I ordered an almost $7 coffee and had to leave it behind because I had to get to work. Needing over 20 minutes to make a coffee is ridiculous, and when I told the barista I had to leave she could have cared less. read more

This place is a cluster. When you walk in, there is a crowd of people waiting, giving the illusion that there is a line waiting to order. Not true. The collection of tables in the middle of the room serves as an obstacle to route the line around to the register. It's awkward to sit there with a line of people standing over you. There's also no sign to point out where the line starts, etc. Huge cluster. This store is also messy, with trash on the floor, tables uncleaned. I love that this location has the clover machine so you get a chance to try the reserve coffees. I noticed a lot of the other surrounding Starbucks do not have this option. The store is conveniently located right off Drum Hill so you can make a quick stop on your way to work and get right back on the highway, which does make it extremely busy in the morning. The baristas are very friendly and make a point to get to know you and your typical drinks. I wish the flow was set up a little better because it can get very crowded where you wait for your drink since it is right next to the milk / sugar station. With a new layout, I really think things would go a lot smoother. Overall, a solid 3.5 stars. read more

I am an avid Starbucks drinker, and a huge fan of the great PSL! I had been on a long drive and needed a little pick me up during the afternoon. I stopped in to this Starbucks to get my caffine fix for the afternoon with a friend. We both ordered Grande Pumkin Spice Lattes Hot. Once they were finally completed the barestia hands is our drinks. I took a sip expecting to get a bit of heaven instead I got coffee and milk... I mixed the latte, took another sip and again coffee and milk. My friends was the same thing, no PSL flavor. I took the drinks back and the barista "remade" them. While I was waiting another customer looked at me and said oh ya they really haven't been doing a good job here lately. We got our new drinks and they again were not flavored. I don't know if this Starbucks is watering down their syrup or the Baristas really just don't know what they are doing. read more
