Indoor seating is a little lacking if you're looking to work in, but the staff is very friendly and the drink they made was great!

This might be the worst Starbucks I have EVER been to. We were one of 4 customers in the store and all the others were seated and enjoying their drinks. There were 3 employees and we waited over 10 mins for drinks. They were not actively making any other drinks and each employee seemed to be just walking around doing random tasks. We waited patiently and noticed they seemed to have just forgotten about our drinks altogether. One employee just looked confused on what she was doing. I can now see why this store was empty while the coffee shop across the street was packed. Definitely don't recommend coming here unless you have the time and patience. read more

I was significantly late picking up my mobile order, and my order had gotten tossed because of how long it had been sitting. Love that I have a Starbucks right by (A BLOCK!) work and this is definitely a go to for that morning Americano with Light Soy OR mid day Happy Hour for BOGO grande pick me up drinks. It's almost always bumping in here with people working by the window or even corporate Starbucks people greeting you when you walk in. The decor in here is light, clean, and comfortable! It would probably be too loud to work in in my opinion with how crowded it can get. Tamika and the asian guy (sorry forgot your name) by now probably know me and I love that kind of rapport from your go to Starbucks. They are super nice and welcoming and pretty much know my regular drink and I realized I've started getting Tall because I'd rather not get full from it and end up wasting when it gets cold or watery if iced. I would definitely recommend putting your order in on the mobile app with this Starbucks as it is the only one in West Loop with a lot of corporate offices around. Wow, talk about overpriced sugar bombs. I don't drink caffeine and I don't believe in spending five bucks for something I drink down that doesn't give me a buzz, so I in general hate Starbucks. I do go there on a rare day that I don't pack any food to eat at work and I'm too broke to buy an actual lunch. I have found that a small decaf latte with soy milk will hold me over for a few hours. Even though 3.50 for a small latte is ridiculous, it's still cheaper than a sandwich, so it's something I do every once in awhile. Well, I just found out that ever since changing their soymilk distributor, they use vanilla soymilk instead of the regular kind. They didn't tell anyone.. so all this time I thought I was getting a nonflavored soymilk in my decaf latte, they were putting in vanilla soymilk, which is loaded with extra sugar and calories! If this was true, I would have just opted for an actual sugary drink. So wrong... and shame on you for wiping out local coffee shops owned by actual people and not some giant corporation. read more

Stopped in at this location for just a medium size cup of coffee, only to be confronted with yet another price increase. That is now 4 price increases in one year taking an average cup of coffee from $2.73 to now $3.87. For a company that is making 40 million after tax profit a day, it's insulting to me they have raised the prices yet again. corporate greed on a grand scale. This location has some of the fastest wifi speeds and comfortable chairs. They do close a bit earlier than the bigger location two blocks south on Morgan. I prefer coming here bc the staff is friendly, make the drinks fast and right. I spend time reading, catching up with friends, and relaxing at Strbucks and this is the perfect location. I have had my ups and downs with this Starbucks. Tonight however was the cherry on top of it all. I am done giving my money and service to this location. Many of the baristas have awful attitudes 95% of the time, with the exception of one gentleman whom I do not know his name. He is hard of hearing and never gets frustrated, always gets my order correct, and is all around pleasant to work with. However, tonight I went in about 15 minutes to close (I work in the service industry, I know the rules about taking clients/customers up UNTIL the time of close). My drink was poorly made and incorrect. My TALL drink was nearly half way full. Did they think I would not notice this? There is a Starbucks on Madison that is a little farther from my job but I will make the treck to that location from now on. read more

I'm not a Starbucks person, but I will never look a gift card in the mouth. I couldn't if I tried. So my transaction here is pretty basic. I look at the menu, shrug wildly, grab an obscenely expensive Naked Juice from the cooler, charge it to the gift card, and drink. But before this I make nice with the fantastically sociable and bright cashier -er- barista who answers my questions about the presence of hibiscus in their teas with unequivocal certainty. He makes my otherwise pricey transaction a joy. And I think about grabbing a stool with Husband, but this spot is tiny and everything's snatched up and then WTF this place is CRAWLING WITH COPS. I'm sure that last part is super comforting to some, but law-abider that I am, the popo make me nervous and I'll drink my juice on the walk. read more

They are rude, and don't care about the customer experience. The cashier (tall African American lady) had a bad attitude, and after the barista provided me with two of my three drinks, I mentioned that there was a third drink that I ordered and she snapped back that it was coming. Pretty standard Starbucks coffee shop. Food selection/bakery & sweet items, I feel are a limited. Staff was fairly friendly. Location is on Division Street in classic wicker park area. A lot of competition with coffee houses. People in the area prefer modern coffee houses that are outside of the box so they aren't too busy here. I am not a big fan of Starbucks in general, and yes it is expensive. But, while traveling, it is nice to have quality control and to be able to have the same "something" to drink when you are not home. Because I live down the block from this location, I frequent it when I am in a latte mood. The people who work here are so friendly and start making my drink when I walk in the door. If there is a line, by the time I pay it, the drink is usually ready. I have experienced plenty of attitude at other Starbucks, but never here. They need more staff! Their employees are friendly, but in the morning during rush hours it can take very long to get your coffee! I ordered mine via the mobile app at 8:30am and got there 5 minutes later, but there were at least 20 people in line as well as about 7 or 8 waiting to pick up their orders. I didn't receive my order until 8:50am which really what's the point of ordering ahead of time? To their credit, their employees were working very quickly, it's just that between 2 employees having to serve 20 customers, that's not good. read more

This is a pretty typical Starbucks, though far less busy than other Starbucks in the city. We arrived around 11:00 am on a Saturday. There were numerous tables to sit at which was nice. There also wasn't a line so I was able to place my order and get my drink in under 5 mins. Cashier was also very friendly and gave good service. read more

First off, you should be aware that I am a Starbucks fan in general. Next, I should probably fess up that my "regular" drink has become more complex than it used to be (Triple-grande-vanilla-soy-no-whip-mocha. If I went for a decaf I'd have a bingo!). Anyhow, it never occurred to me until recently to review a Starbucks - because it's like, a chain, right? You get the same thing any where you go, right? Not exactly. Lately I've been noticing a lot of differences between the individual stores - perhaps I'm getting older and crankier. There's one in my home of Oak Park that I've frequented because it's close, but I am often disappointed in my drink and find myself muttering as I leave the store: "Doesn't anyone freaking CALL BACK the drinks anymore? Or is there some kind of 'pride' thing everyone's trying now, to be able to get drinks correct just using their their mad-memory-skillz? Cause frankly people? You're not getting it." I'm not generally one to ask to have a drink remade unless it's ridiculously wrong (like there's whip-cream on it - I'm lactose intolerant), so most of the time I just kind of deal with the missing extra shot, or the lack of vanilla syrup. In the last few months, my hubby and I have been frequenting the Starbucks at Randolph and Sangamon, just South of Lake Street. Our first morning there we were greeted with baristas who were super-nice, and since our drinks were *perfect* we decided to stop in again the next day. On our second morning there, we were not only greeted with the same friendliness, we were told as we approached the counter: "You've got the triple-grande-vanilla-soy-mocha, and you've got the vente coffee with room, right?" and can I just say that this kind of service can absolutely start your morning off right? It really can. For a while we became Regulars, and although now we've cut back to Friday Mornings Only (it really adds up and we're trying to budget better), we still get that fantastic service and cheerful "Hey you guys! How's it going this morning?" that we did when we first started frequenting the place. More than that, they still remember our drinks, the drinks still come out perfect every time, and when they see us - even 5 or 6 people back in the line - will call out "You guys getting your regular this morning?" We are both Starbucks fans - my husband and I - and we'd love it if we could afford to go every day. I also really wish this particular location with these particular baristas were much closer to my home. But I'm glad we've found this place and I'm glad it's right along my morning commute, and right now, I can't wait til tomorrow. Tomorrow is Friday Starbucks Day! read more

I am adding this star only due to Tamika she is absolutely awesome and every time she makes a drink for me it is JUST RIGHT!!! Since I have been coming in the others try to duplicate my drink when she is not there but unfortunately they are imitators and I find my $4.40 drink is a dud. There goes that money I could have used to buy coffee and make it myself. Overall the store has been going through some changes and I personally think for the best. Watch your drink being made!!!! I will never go back! I got my coffee with whip cream. As the barista (I think named Robert) closed the lid, some of the whip came out! Instead of wiping the lid off properly or giving me a new lid, he wipe it off with his nasty apron, called out my drink and tried to hand it to me! I almost threw up in my mouth. I told him that I saw him and I asked him for another lid. He put on a new lid. He never apologized! I will never go there in the mornings if he is making drinks! I WANT to love this place, because its near my yoga studio and it would be super convenient to come here, have a cup of coffee and work for a couple hours before my yoga class. However, everytime I come here, I get frustrated. The service is 'MEH" these ladies act like they don't want to be here. But the biggest issue? Is how darned COLD it is in the store! Its seriously frigid!!! I've never been in another Starbucks that is this cold. Today, I heard an older man nicely ask if the staff would please turn off the air conditioning (who needs AC in mid-Oct?) and they refused him. I don't know exactly what they said, because I couldn't hear... but it was definitely NO. He was so frustrated that he left. I always have to leave after grinning and bearing the cold for a few minutes as well. It appears as if during the am rush, the temp is ok... but I honestly think that these people PUMP UP THE AC SO PEOPLE DONT STAY IN THE STORE. How rude!
