Stopped by for a quick coffee fix. Parking was tricky but there is a parking lot nearby (for another restaurant)/street metered parking. But inside is quite spacious. They specialize in yemeni coffee with the menu you see in other yemeni cafes. Server we had was good about asking for confirmations to make sure they got the correct order and what we wanted and not wanted. We ordered with light sweetness and oat milk substitutes ($1 extra). After you get your drink, should really stir it before drinking because it's layered. If you only got the sweets initially then rest of it will be quite bitter. But overall pretty balanced. The Dubai chocolate was good but not super unique in flavor, I was hoping for more spices, and obviously if you squeeze the cup it cracks the dark chocolate. But it didn't have all the crunchies. Flavor was good tho. The match mango latte my husband really like it but he preferred just the mango latte part and less of the matcha part. The matcha was good too, pretty bitter, but with any matcha, it has that kinda grainy taste especially in cold drinks. Overall we really liked the place and would come by to try more. I'd want to try the mufawar for the cardamom flavors.

The matcha is always so yummy here! I haven't tried any of the pastries yet but I'm told by others they like them. Quick service, they're very helpful with other coffees if you don't know what's on their menu. The hot coffees are so rich in spices. Ambiance is clean and bright, helpful for a workday focus area. Keep in mind booths are for larger parties of 3+

Great addition to Greektown with an upscale and serene environment. Friendly staff, very helpful with the menu, and table service. Coffee was really good and the glassware is amazing. Stop by to try and support this local business and try their amazing pastries as well! Pro Tip: amazing WFH vibes in the cafe

New cafe, sooo yummy! I got their pistachio matcha latte and it was good matcha with tasty pistachio cream and bits. I saw them making the matcha and hand whisking it fresh behind the counter. Always nice to be able to watch the craft! Lots of cakes and pastries available as well that I didn't get to try. Loved the cafe vibes here. Bright and quiet, lots of tables and chairs to work/read or just chill with your drink.

The space is big with lots of seating, and it's a really good WFH spot, not too loud and pretty much everyone's on their laptops. As soon as you walk in you can smell that Yemeni spice, which I loved. Service was amazing too. The barista was super nice and gave great recs. The salted caramel latte was just alright. The Yemeni flavor didn't really come through and the salted caramel wasn't very strong either, it mostly tasted like a lightly sweet latte. The raspberry dessert was fine. I liked the thin, slightly crunchy crust and how the mousse and sauce worked together, but I was expecting a bit more.

Wow!!! I am obsessed. I ordered pick up and it was very very busy inside. When I ordered it said ready in 30 minutes, I gave it 15 minutes and my drinks were ready when I arrived! The space is huge! Lots of people working remote there. I tried the pina colada matcha and this blew me away. I am picky about matcha too. The perfect milk to matcha ratio and you really get the pina colada taste! $8 for a matcha which I feel now a days is pretty typical. I'm so excited to try more flavors

Great coffee--loved the Moka latte. I would pass on the cheesecake next time. The Dubai cheesecake tasted highly processed, more like a hard cloyingly flan cheesecake. I personally am a fan of cheesecake that tastes more like soft cream cheese or fage yogurt, and Moka cheesecake just isn't it.

I was walking in the area and I started to get thirsty so I walked in here. I did a kind of want a latte, but I really wanted to quench my throat so I got like a refresher. It was so good. I should probably make this at home cause it was nothing but mint water, lemon or lime or something and it was really good. The desserts here looked really good. Sadly I couldn't have any since I'm vegan. I didn't say anything that vegan friendly on it dessert wise I will come back to try a latte. It was really cute. Space spacious, and very cute and the staff was nice.

Cute cafe with a lot of seating. Got the Iced Adeni Chai and it was pretty good. The flavor definitely hit and would definitely cool you down during a hot day. Would love to come back to try their desserts. Did get to have a sip of their pistachio matcha which didn't like the texture as much. The WiFi here isn't that reliable either but the service was great. Overall, a good experience and would come back to try their desserts and other drinks.

Perfect delivery experience. The drink was made to perfection and delicious. Definitely cannot wait to experience this gem in person.

Very nice coffee shop offer Yemenis Coffee selection. Very interesting flavor combos. The lavender matcha latte with skim milk is a nice combination. Smooth taste. Very enjoyable. They also have some nice items in the bakery display case. Large coffee shop. With an over flow room and restrooms located to the east. Nice comfortable seating area when you walk in. Simple sleek and clean space. The service was good. Order, pay, take a number if you are dine in. They do ask your name for take away orders. Nice shop to visit on the Northeast corner of Jackson & Halsted in GreekTown.

This place is such a pleasant surprise and welcome addition to the neighborhood! So happy to have a Yemeni coffee/chai house in the city and not have to go to the burbs. Have already come around 4 times in the 2 weeks since it opened for the Adeni chai alone, yum. Very cute vibes. Very yummy Dubai chocolate latte. The kunefe is a little small for the price but still good, and the honeycomb cake was even better (and pretty big for the price!). Very nice baristas. Wanna try their brown sugar shaken espresso and iced adeni chai (interesting...)

Really wanted to like this place. However, I learned I don't like how spicy the coffee is. It makes sense that the cashier immediately offered to sweeten it when I ordered it, but I was ordering for someone else who likes it black. The place is nice. But it gets too hot and there's no shade. There is a back room with extra seating, but the most annoying part is how everyone seems to buy a drink and camp there for hours. The tables aren't wiped down after, so every table has condensation rings. The pastries are okay. Not my favorite.

Though usually one for a hot coffee, it was steamy hot out so I went for an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and was wildly impressed. I was going to sit for a bit so had the latte for there and it was icy cold and the vanilla flavoring was brilliantly paired to the really good espresso notes within the latte. I also went for a Financier, which is a gluten-free banana bread sort of loaf and this was downright silly how good it was. It had a rich banana and sort of caramel flavor to it and as a gluten-free pastry option was one of the finest that I have had. Love that the coffee shop had just about every seat full with people doing work, studying, reading and catching up and the spot was a true neighborhood gem sort of location. Awesome spot!

While the Chicago location is massive and impressive, it just didn't quite measure up to our experience in Tokyo. The service wasn't as fast, the food wasn't quite as good, and the overall look and atmosphere didn't have that same wow factor. That being said, we were definitely glad we experienced it. Our travel buddies who went to Tokyo with us joined us here as well, which made it fun to compare the two locations. There are some unique coffee creations and food items specific to the Chicago Roastery, and the exclusive merchandise is really cool and gives you something you won't find at a typical Starbucks. For us, it was probably a one-time experience, but I would absolutely recommend it to any Starbucks fan. It's worth seeing just for the size, concept, unique menu and merchandise. One big tip: get there early! The lines can get long, and arriving early makes the experience much more enjoyable. Tokyo still wins for us, but Chicago is definitely worth checking out at least once!
