Despite this Starbucks always being slammed, I've always had a great experience. That being said, I usually do the "order ahead" feature. I know many of the reviewers were disappointed with the wait times, but I've never had a huge issue with it. Regarding ambiance ... with all the foot traffic this location gets, this place could easily benefit from a remodel and upgrade. It's pretty worn down inside and could be a lot cuter and cozier. The employees at this location are extremely friendly and helpful. They really do a great job navigating the high customer load, while being assertive and welcoming. The quality of the drinks is pretty consistent too. This location also has a good merchandise selection. I was able to snag some Hello Kitty stuff, which definitely made my day!!! read more

buyer beware! this Starbucks charges 50 Cents more for a grande cold brew, and 60 cents more for a bacon gouda sandwich than the Starbucks across from legacy place dedham. I don't understand as they are 1-1and a half miles apart and are both in dedham. Percentage wise it's a lot. read more

Tiny drive thru Starbucks, I thought by coming here I'd save time but I ended up spending 20 minutes here. It's also super narrow in the drive thru line so good to be mindful if you have a larger car. The drink, however, was perfect. They're located in a plaza with Dick's Sporting Goods, Chipotle, + Stop & Shop. All types of the egg bites are delicious the refreshers are incredible, Starbucks has a little bit of everything like if you have a kid you could get them a cake pop and a water. I find this a problem with all Starbucks - but because I'm extra b*tchy this morning and tired of paying 6 dollars for a cold brew made wrong, here's my review for you, Dedham. I ask every time for whole milk to be put in the nitro cold brew PLUS foam. I am clear. We go back and forth at the drive thru box, till I make sure it's right on the screen. Today we do this fun exercise and no whole milk in the coffee when it's handed to me. Instead of re-making the drink, you guys give me a splash of milk in an extra cup. Glad for the 6 dollar coffee, i'm making it myself at the wheel. Also worth mentioning, it's cold brew. Not room temp brew. You guys afraid of refrigerating your kegs or adding ice? When you hand me the cup, you can tell it's piss warm. That's all. Do better. You're a luxury coffee brand. Also this is a problem for all Starbucks, but christ, your food is terrible. read more

This one is the closest to where I live and even if it wasn't it would still be one of my favorites because the service is always awesome. They never get my custom green tea latte drink wrong and they always remember to smile and just generally are really courteous and friendly. They also don't get irritated when I order a off menu item. In fact they seem to like the challenge. I never use the drive in but I've seen it get really long lines so there must be something good about the drive in service too. This isn't unique to this store itself but I'm kind of miffed about the breakfast sandwiches..kind of underwhelming and small. I wanted to hate on this Starbucks, I really did. Imagine the most generic cookie-cutter floorplan for a small shop with a drivethrough lane. Then plop it on top of a concrete commercial pad sitting in what appears to be an island within a Route 1 strip mall parking lot. The end result is the ultimate in cheesy franchise cliches. For a while this was our last resort espresso fix prior to beginning a long northern drive on 128, since Java Joe's was usually filthy inside and the parking lot at Panera can get insane. Then ... I started coming here more often, after getting a gym membership at the nearby DHAC. It was a good place to check email, read the papers and get a morning or afternoon coffee fix. Quickly noticed that there is a crowd of "regulars" who frequent the place and also that the staff are exceedingly friendly and go out of their way to say hi when a regular comes in. Employees will often chat with them at their tables after purchase as well. Nice, friendly and competent staff make all the difference and made me totally revise my opinion of this location. More data: - very popular drivethrough, can get busy but moves along at a decent rate - smallish indoor seating area and only two of the soft love-seat type chairs. The rest are of the hard wooden variety. I mobile ordered my tea like I do every morning. I go in my donut was ready but not the drink so I wait. After a few minutes I go up and ask if they received my drink order one of the baristas says it might have been sent to the other Dedham store, I say no because I have my donut. She then proceeds to go "oh well didn't get it" and turns around and continues what she was doing. She completely disregarded me and was a complete asshole about it , excuse my French. I go here a lot.... they gave me someone else's mobile order when I went to the drive thru. That really sucked for both me and the mobile order dude lol. I order thru the app but they alway forget to make my breakfast wrap. I have to wait a few minutes for it every time on weekend morning when I'm in a hurry to get to work. Just started working in dedham and this location is convenient and on the way. I usually place a mobile order within 4 or 5 minutes of arriving. My coffee is always made when I walk in. This is probably one of the worst Starbucks in the area. The drive-through is slow, and that's on a good day. For being as close as they are to the highway, one would think that efficiency and speed would be the name of the game here. Wrong. That's definitely not the case. This place gets this many stars because it's a drive-thru and I'm sometimes a lazy American. There aren't a lot of Starbucks in this area and, man, when I'm hankering for a soy chai latte, they get it right. BUT, the service SUUUUUUUCKS! Whether I do drive-thru or suck it up and go inside, the line takes forever. I don't know if the baristas are slow or there are just not enough employees, but no matter... it still takes forever. Ok, I'm super biased because I've worked at a Starbucks...for years. This Starbucks has to be theeeee slowwwesssst place for coffee in town. Yikes! When you have 5 employees on, and all I need is an iced coffee, why am I waiting 6+ minutes on average? The employees themselves are great, but WOWZA! Cup, syrup, coffee, ice... Done. I was employed at a store with a larger rush hour volume with less staff, so this excessive waiting is unacceptable to me. The last time I was there with my boyfriend, he ordered a frappuccino and we saw the cup sitting there waiting to be made while other orders were filled before his. Super frustrating. I am not a DD fan, but prefer to go there en route to work simply based on speed. Sure, I am all about a quality beverage, but the coffee is pre made, sitting in an urn. Come on. This is probably the worst Starbucks on the face of the earth. I don't drink coffee at all, but my girlfriend does, so we stop here a lot as we live in the area. Don't go through the drive through unless you have AT LEAST 15 minutes to spare. I figured I'd bypass the drive through and start going in, but that seems to have stopped working too, as it takes just as long inside. The issue is that, unlike other Starbucks, they only have one barista. This one person makes drinks for people inside as well as people in the drive through and can NEVER keep up. Whether you go in or go through the drive through, this is a 15 minute minimum experience. It's actually faster to drive up the street to the one at Boch Plaza in Norwood. It's a 15 minute drive, but you'll only be in line at the one for 30 seconds or so. They're amazing and friendly and much faster than this one. read more

This place is hit or miss depending on the barista you get. The older woman in the mornings is forgetful which I wouldnt mind but she is always nasty when she forgets something. The rest of the staff is pleasant and gets my order right. I dred the days this older woman works though. Go to through the drivethrough if she is working. I get inordinately excited about drive-thru Starbucks, so much so that the first couple times I visit any drive-thru location I have to take a picture of the barista handing me my coffee. I am not kidding. My love of drive-thru Starbucks runs deep. Now, I very rarely have the occasion to be in the area of this drive-thru Starbucks, but it's one of the nicest ones I've visited. It's also really nice inside here if you want to come in and chill for a bit. I think its suburban location means that not a lot of people just wander in here to linger and study. Also, because of the drive-thu, you have a reduced amount of traffic actually in the store to distract you from chillin' with your latte. It's new and fresh and clean. Drive-through Starbucks: Brilliant. I don't come here as often as one might think since I tend to frequent Dedham a lot. But when I do I'm always pleased. I've done both the drive-through and gone inside a few times - both with equal satisfaction. I do like the drive-through though - especially on rainy/cold days when you need a hot drink to warm up! The staff are always friendly and the service is fast. As with all Starbucks I wish they'd offer some vegan baked goods so I can have a treat too, to go along with my Soy Pumpkin Spice Latte. ps - their java jackets/sleeves are not in a visible place, move them so customers can find them easier without having to bother the baristas. read more

In terms of a Starbucks, this one is pretty standard. They offer coffee, tea, fresh baked goods, and even breakfast sandwiches! They also had a lovely sitting area though I wasn't going to sit and sip (I will in the future!). However, they have a drive thru! You don't really see many with this feature so it's worth mentioning. Also, whenever I see a drive thru I park and go inside because the service tends to be better. I was right on this one. My usual order of a venti shaken black tea lemonade with 3 Splendas was made to perfection, I waited all of 3 seconds, the staff was super nice, and I even got a package of the over priced dry roast cashews because I have a gift card! I get it, it is convenient, but I would rather give myself more time and get out of my car. I went to the drive thru today (latte taste testing) and got a latte, it was terrible, and not made like a latte. I had the opportunity to watch the barista ( if you can call them that) make a drinks through the window, it was a hack job. The worst part of the experience was I heard the window person say "oh I just gave her the wrong drink, who knows maybe she will like it". Superb Starbucks Drive-Thru location in the Dedham Mall! Lately, I have been visiting Starbucks as I received a gift card in the last few weeks. Normally, I go to Dunkin Donuts as they are normally more convenient and less expensive. However, I will definitely be visiting Starbucks a bit more often because of the wonderful service I have received in the Dedham location. I live in Westwood and have 3 Starbucks locations in town (for such a small town, 1 would be sufficient, let alone 3!), yet I would still prefer going out of my way to visit this location or the Norwood location because the others have drive thru's, while all three in Westwood do not. I'm a sucker for drive thru's (why go in if you don't have to..... right?), and love how there are a good amount of Starbucks Drive-thru's in the area. This one does get busy, yet the staff are really competent, and are always friendly, kind, and moving around to get every customer what they asked for in a timely manner. Haven't tried that many food products. Always superb service, and a plus for being so convenient. 5 stars for the Dedham location. read more
