Ordered via the app for pick up. I ordered here because the others nearby me were all closed at the time. I got the same frap I always do and it wasn't quite right. It was way too strong. I add a cpl shot of espresso but it tasted like they added an extra. because it ends up costing a lot of money, I have it down to a science of how I like it. When they add stuff to be nice (which I do appreciate) or don't understand the print out (while on my end it says 2 shots of espresso on the tag it just says double) I'll order again when the others are closed. read more

I go in everyday and workers are always smiling and welcoming to me when I enter. They care enough to remember and address me by my name and to remember my order. Two employees that especially stand out are Zaki and Hope. read more

I wanted to try a different location on my way to work this morning (I drive by four Starbucks) and stopped at this one. I was really impressed with the size of the place and how much seating was available, including two couches and many tables! That's the only thing that impressed me. The line was short, but the wait was long. The cashier didn't even ask if I wanted a receipt and I stood there awkwardly while she grumpily gave it to me. I don't know about you, but don't most places at least ask if you want it? (I don't usually want it, but today I did.) To top it all off, my drink (chai tea latte with soy milk) was the worst I've had from a Starbucks location. It tasted bland with only a hint of flavor in the aftertaste. Blah. I really wanted to turn around and ask for another but I didn't want to be late to work. Sorry, 'bucks. I'm sticking with my usual spot. read more

Came to this place since I was in the area today and simply wanted to get something small in the area. Definitely a hidden little area but great stores. It's really tough to park here in the middle of the day. The service was nice, staff was friendly. My cookie crumble Frappuccino was made in decent time I might add. My co worker and I stopped here after grabbing lunch at chipotle. The line wasn't long and we even discussed the atmosphere of the place. I ordered the "pink drink" and even referred to my app to confirm the menu name "strawberry acai refresher" I stood there waiting for my drink when the barista called my name.. I looked at the drink and said oh is this the "pink drink" she said yes the refresher. I say oh I remember it looking pink last time I got it. She responds it's made wit coconut milk so that may explain it. I wanted to say something but she just got done fixing the drink (that was made wrong) that my coworker ordered. I didn't want to cause a scene in the middle of the lunch hour. I continued drinking it and the drink started looking like milk...i was so disappointed I basically bought a grande sized coconut milk. As a side note: this was probably the third time I got this drink. I usually stick with my go to -white chocolate mocha (hot) but considering it has been so lately i decided to change it up to a summer drink. I say that because that to advise why i did not recognize the difference between this drink and the pink drinks I see all over social media and the first one I had. read more

I'm a little conflicted as to how I feel about this Starbucks location. On the one hand, I really like their indoor seating area. Plenty of tables and different alternatives. I've never had any service issues here. I do, however, have 2 main complaints: 1. It's a pain to get into the parking lot to even access this Starbucks. Unless you're already heading north on Waukegan (which I never am), you have to go turn in well past the little mall by the bank, go around the bank and then into the parking lot. And, unless you're exiting to go north on Waukegan, that's how you have to get out too. Kind of a minor PITA, but annoying. 2. The outdoor seating is fenced in with access only by walking through the store. Which is not great if you want to sit with your dog, or if you have a baby stroller that you don't want to navigate through the store/between tables. We usually end up sitting in the plaza area by the fountain, just near the Starbucks, but there are no tables there, so it's not a perfect solution. Also, the benches are often wet and/or occupied. Overall, there's nothing particularly wrong with this Starbucks, it just never quite feels convenient. read more

If you are in a rush, this store is not necessarily the best to visit in the area because of its busyness and (apparent) understaffing. Be prepared to meet all of Deerfield's middle school students at 3pm CST, Mon-Fri. This S'Bucks can get quite busy during the school year because it seems a lot of parents would rather have their kids meet them at S'Bucks after school then send them to after care or give them a key to the house. This S'Bucks serves some of the unique coffees the company brews and uses that fancy machine whose name I can't recall. This S'Bucks has a unique floor plan that sets it apart from other stores in the area, with plenty of seating for individuals, couples, people working on school/remotely, study groups, etc. A wide variety of people come to this S'Bucks, and it is often quite busy. There is no drive-through, so don't worry about halfhearted attention because of a line around the building. Outdoor seating is copious, because I think they serve alcohol here after hours. Other than than that, this is a standard store. read more

This Starbucks, and I frequent many in area, is an awesome one to visit. This is not my local Starbucks, but I enjoy coming here often. This Starbucks has a very large lobby/seating area. You never feel cramped or like you are literally sitting on someone. The associates are lovely. So kind and personable. Those working the espresso bar really DO care and want to enjoy your drink. They go above and beyond in making sure they have stellar customer service. They work really well as a team to get orders in and out quickly. You can tell they enjoy working together. Great team efforts! The parking is abundant. So no worries there. However, note no drive through. However, they love for you to come in and spread the cheer. read more

This busy Starbucks is often filled in the morning with local business people waiting in line and taking up most of the seats. I never hang out here. The reason to go is the Clover brewing system which allows customers to enjoy any of the coffees made to order on the best brewing machine available in the area. Few Starbucks in the country offer this amazing coffee. In addition to the specialty Reserve coffees, you can even get a Pike's place or Blonde Roast coffee from the machine. For many years I only drank espresso, but the superior flavor of a Clover brewed coffee has won me over. It is a little more expensive than the standard drip brewed coffees on tap at Starbucks, but it's totally worth it. If you're feeling flush, try some of the exotic Reserve coffees. Nothing compares, but you may have to wait. read more

I am usually a huge Starbucks fan...I mean, mobile pay watch app and all. And most Starbucks are 5 star service, this one however, is the exception. They don't seem to care about the fact the customer is waiting without acknowledgement. I was with my son waiting to order and no one really cared. Then when I did order my iced green tea, after about 5 minutes I asked politely about the status of this easy to make drink, apparently the filter had broken on the tea and they had to redo the order but no one bothered to inform me, the customer. Then after 10 more minutes (15 minutes total) I approached the pick up area again and my iced tea was sitting there with melted ice, no one bothered to call my name when it was ready. And finally the drink I received had a shot of peach in it when I specifically asked not to put peach in it. Shameful experience read more

Pros: large location with ample seating for relaxing, a good conversation or studying. Also, I really liked the decor of this location. It definitely seemed more modern and classy than other locations I have been to. Also, they have a Clover brewing system, which allows customers to sample their "Reserve" coffees, which are from all over the world. I'm still not too sure if you can request to have this type brewed for you as opposed to getting whatever they have brewing (such as their Pike Place roast). Cons: Nothing really - I didn't experience the horrible service that Brian S. mentioned in his review. However, I think the barista making my drink put whip cream into my Pumpkin Spice Latte which I didn't want. She seemed busy talking to another customer about the Hawkeyes. (I typically don't review corporate chains, but this one was a little different than most Starbucks I have gone to) Location & Ambiance: The location is actually awesome, its one of the biggest Starbucks I have seen which has its pros and cons. As you can imagine the large location is bad for individuals doing homework, but great for those who are looking to meet in bigger groups. Coffee: Same as literally every Starbucks... ever. Exactly what you would expect. Food: Same deal as the coffee. Staff: Same old corporate feel, but with a bigger location. Overall, its the same old Starbucks. Not great, but is good when in a pinch. There are some positive things to this Starbucks mainly because of the larger location. read more

I can't believe this store has not changed or proved its management. Perhaps its a test location for horrible service? Or perhaps the location is so good, it is successful despite itself. The real mystery is why a competitor hasnt opened a store next door and simply stole the customers with marginal service. I was behind a woman who had to be 80 that ordered a decaf and she actually left and said she didn't have time to in her life wait for the 20 minutes and simply walked out. Hilarious! Bottom line, coffee is great as I spend 200+ at Starbucks and this place is the worst retail facility of any category in terms of customer service I have ever been in consistently in my life. Here is a Starbucks corporate management tip- hire a manager and a few extra staff members at this location or a Caribou or Seattles Best is going to pop and steal your business. I came here at 7:45pm on Friday night and they locked their doors 1 hour + early. Brutal.

The people at this Starbucks are great. Very friendly and helpful. They get a five. So why the 3-stars? The manager needs to put more people behind the counter, because the weekend - and sometimes weekday - lines are out the door. One can wait 10 minutes to get to the front of the line and another 5-7 minutes for their drink. It's obvious to me the staff is over-burdened. The manager should be aware of this. Otherwise, it's a really nice place. It's sunny but not too sunny. There's plenty of room, and plenty of seating choices. And, as I said, the staff are great. They go out of their way to help, and really recognize and appreciate regular customers. read more

I had a great experience at this location this morning. It was about 8:20am, and I felt as though I was out of there by 8:23! Granted, I have a simple order, so maybe that helped my case. I wasn't there to hang out, but it did look welcoming, clean and fresh. There were many people in the location, so that may have been a challenge if I were to try and do so.
