They have a Dubai chocolate latte that is really good, I've gotten it twice (and I always appreciate when a coffee shop has oat milk)! Was passing through the Libertyville area and had to stop at one of my favorite coffee shops! While the shop always tends to be busy, staff is smiling and turned orders around quickly. They have a diverse menu of coffees and teas as well as breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, and bakery items. The Libertyville location also had quite a large seating area if you wanted to stay a while and enjoy your treats! This trip, we got the Spiced Chai Latte (hot) and Sweet Honey Bee (iced). The Chai has a delicious blend of spices that makes it unique to others in the area. It is less sweet though if that is your preference. The Sweet Honey Bee is the perfect lavender/honey latte. They use local lavender and honey to amplify the flavor. For food, we split the Ube Muffin and Spinach/Cheddar/Bacon Scone. The scone was more of a biscuit as it wasn't too hard. The Ube Muffin was by far our favorite: fluffy, full of flavor, and a nice crunch on top. Be sure to stop by Conscious Cup if ever in the area; you won't be disappointed! read more

Great choice for locally owned coffee in Libertyville. It's not only good tasting stuff, but they're ethical as well. Conscious Cup has a few locations in the suburbs, and this one may look small but has enough room to be honest. Prices are pretty good for locally owned. There's also some baked items, oatmeal bars, and that kind of stuff. A pretty good favorite of mine when I come around here. It has a few other locations in the northwest suburbs. This one is in the middle of downtown close to other things. It's about $5 for a coffee. They have a few non dairy milks. As any good coffee place needs to have. The food is pretty limited. It's about $3 for things like croissants. They also have Taos Baked Bars which are great for those in a hurry. Can get pretty busy in the morning, especially. It also has a few breakfast sandwiches to choose from. These often aren't available though, but one of these is a tofu scramble good for vegans and vegetarians. read more

I was visiting for a Navy Graduation so I'm not from this area. This coffee shop was down the street from our hotel so we decided to stop since the area is pretty. Upon walking in, we were stared down by staff who looked VISIBLY annoyed. They never greeted us and as we approached the counter they just kept the same unpleasant face. We ordered and when it was my turn I asked a question regarding what they would recommend and they again, we annoyed and didn't really assist. The coffee was bad but I don't even really care about that. It's the fact that the employees are in the service industry and then still have the audacity to look at their customers in that way. I was dumb enough to go a second time and still got the same treatment. Just avoid going. read more

This coffee shop has creative drink combinations, a real cool esthetic artwork and furniture, and fun not-to-crazy soft music in the background. It's pretty spot on for all that the motto says. When it comes to the drinks, they seem to have high quality ingredients judging on what the barista was telling us. The latte I had speaks to it too!! Pretty yummy mocha. Modern coffee shop with plenty of seating. There's even a large couch where you can relax. I really enjoyed the hazelnut latte which had the salted hazelnut syrup. The syrup add a nice balance of salty and sweet. The salmon king on English muffin was delicious. The micro green is a nice twisted addition to a classic and traditional lox. Cashier was friendly and got my order in. I got my latte pretty quickly and a few mins later my salmon king. I go about 2-3 times a month, usually just for coffee, but only when Hewn across the street is not open. Hewn has better coffee IMO and lower prices but no seating. The food is really good, but dont expect large portions at Conscious Cup. Conscious Cup is great place to sit and chat or study, but the service has gone down recently. Maybe staff turnover? While I like the interior and location of this cafe, the drinks are sub par. I've tried two of their special lattes - vanilla ella and the salted hazelnut latte - and while they aren't bad, they are definitely not out of this world. These lattes are more expensive and less tasty than Hansa's (another coffee shop 2 min away). This might be personal taste talking but after giving it two tries, I haven't found a good reason to come here over Hansa. The location however is very nice as it is right on the Libertyville downtown street, so the window seats are really nice! read more

OMG. I am currently drinking a honey lavender latte from here and OMG seriously, it's in the top 5 I've ever had. I had it with oat milk, absolutely delicious. I am not a big sweet tooth person, so this is perfect for my sweetness tolerance. Made with love and they are meticulous about cleaning after each drink, which I notice and appreciated. Well done. One of my go-to coffee shops since moving to Libertyville. The coffee is delicious and there's ample seating which is great. If it's nice out, this is right by the town square where you can hang out outside too. There's a small parking lot for pickup orders but street parking is also easy to come by. My only feedback (though not enough to take away a star) is that I wish the employees were more engaging/friendly. They're certainly not rude, but in my experience they don't tend to engage in conversation at all which is one thing I love especially about smaller shops. read more

Did not have a good experience here at 12:53 on February 24, 2024. Every other time I've gotten coffee from here has been great. But today was not a good one, first off while paying my card did not have a tap option so I swiped my card and told them I tried swiping already and it didn't work, another employee told me if I tried swiping it which I already said I did, was very pushy about me not trying to swipe clearly not listening to what I already said. The same employee then made me and my sister get off the mat in front of the register instead of patiently waiting not even a minute for us to finish at the register to take the mat away. Then another employee that made our drinks calls out our drinks and says a drink I did not order, so I kindly let her know that I think there was a mistake because I didn't order what she called out. She said oh I just read it wrong on the cup, and just looks at me to take it but I'm still confused if it's the correct drink because she said she read what the cashier wrote incorrectly. And another barista butts in and says It's the right one I saw it made with an attitude. I just didn't want to leave if it wasn't what I ordered. These baristas working seemed entitled and pushy and it overall was not a good experience from the front of the house crew. When they first opened, the prices were a bit higher than the other small coffee places I visited, but the location was convenient, so I was willing to accept it. Located on the main strip in town this corner cafe was decent. I was impressed by the artistic design for my Cortado with coconut milk which is not easy. However, it was scorching hot and really a latte not a Cortado. The seating area has a mix of chair and tables, comfy couches and chairs which makes it quite homey and comfortable. Not sure if I picked a bad time but it needed to be cleaned up a bit. The kitchen was down so you couldn't order food that day. The Smell is Amazing!! Im not going to lie, I wasn't sure this place was going to worth the vibe, but the strong aroma of coffee and whatever comes from the kitchen that hits you when you first walk in is just so good I was pretty sure I wouldn't mind paying more then $5's for a cup or a pastry. I've been back several times, in all different seasons and I've really enjoyed all there different seasonal drinks. I am a vegan and always look for new combinations, flavors, and bite options wherever I go and even though I've never been able to eat there pastries they smell and look great! I appreciate that they have a milk alternative though I personaly would prefer others. This spot use to be Love'n Oven a few years ago, and so I already knew what the inside setup could be, and I like that the rosters and cafe counter are one side and the seating is on the other, mostly divided by a wall because foam machines and coffee makers can be really load. The food options they have seem to come out of the kitchen fast, and the coffee is made really quick so it's super hot (just like I like it)! There is a lot of seating options, small tables, low arm chairs, a couch, and big windows. The wall art looks local, and with this being right down town Libertyville, just across from the town square-kitty corner to O'Tools the street parking and public parking is all over.
