Overflowing garbage can, the employees allow "friends" (people that don't actually work there) behind the counter which is a health hazard. The employees and manager is rude and dishonest. Take a careful read of the other Yelp reviews. I'm not the only one saying this. I encourage anyone seeing the need for improvement here - take your complaints to both Starbucks corporate, and Safeway corporate. Tell the Safeway store manager. What bothers me is the way the employees and manager goes out of their way to lie and harass the customers. If they put a fraction of that cynical, rude, mean behavior into actually doing their jobs - it would be a great Starbucks. This looks like a management issue to me. So this location permanently closes its public restrooms! There's nothing wrong with the restrooms if you walk past the barricades but an employee will flip out and chase you down. Call CORPERATE 1800 782 7282 and complain often. Safeways owns the Starbucks and against Starbucks policy they do NOT provide public restrooms to Starbucks customers but instead Safeway offered their restrooms across the store in the produce department. I'll bet they are trying to encourage Starbucks customers to become Safeway costumers. It's a little sus and bad practices. I'd say move the cones and use the restroom anyway but if you're like me and try to follow rules even when Safeway does NOT follow the rules they agreed to follow when they opened a Starbucks franchise inside their store, you can at the very least contact Starbucks Corporation and make a stink. Safeway may loose the franchise but not likely. They will have to comply and they will have to offer restrooms inside Starbucks to Starbucks employees. read more

Do not recommend this Starbucks unless you have the luxury of making your own schedule. My drinks literally sat there in the que after I ordered through the app. There was no sense of time not even urgency, neither of my food items was warmed. And they didn't mix the mocha on my iced drink. I had two ice drinks without any add-ons, not sure how those are hard to make properly but they did it. read more

I've been here a few times and it's frequently the same gentleman staffing it. He's very polite, but very, very slow. I'm not sure if this location gets so little business it isn't worth it to them to hire anyone else to help staff it, but with any sort of a line you end up waiting 5-10 minutes for your drink. I mean, he's literally the only one back there, and at his speed it only goes so fast. The drinks are always good, it's just a frustrating location to visit. Fabulous Location inside Safeway! I adore sipping hot sweet creamy coffee, all day long. So it is utterly delightful to grocery shop, with a cup of Pikes roast blend in one hand. I am giving five stars largely for the excellent customer service I just experienced there. In there around 3 PM and got a drink and some snacks for two of my children. I try to get/notice the name of the person with whom I am interacting, but this time, I was a bit distracted by my kids. The woman who was working there was calm and very very polite. She didn't rush unnecessarily or make me feel rushed. I really appreciate that. As far as the order goes, it was all correct and the drink was made fairly quickly; minimal waiting. read more

My last experience was awful. The gal behind the counter was consistently complaining to her friends on the other side who were seated and while I ordered a raspberry mocha--there was zero raspberry flavor. I didn't know this until I took a sip before leaving Safeway. I came back to the Starbucks and asked if I could have some raspberry since there was none--she sighed and took it back still scowling and I swear did nothing to my mocha besides steam it. I went with my co-worker and since we both are baristas at the bakery we work at, we kinda had a idea of what they did to make the drinks. I swear the gal took my drink back and steamed it before stirring it and not adding any flavor. I really don't think I will be coming back to this location. It was convenient since I live up the street but really, I'm not paying $5 or so dollars for a crappy mocha that wasn't what I had ordered. Convenient? Yes. Walk around the new Safeway with your Venti Non-Fat Frozen Orange Mocha Frapaccino (who drinks that kind of stuff besides the characters in Zoolander? I don't like anything tasting orange unless it is a Screw Me Driver) or trot a hundred feet and get your favorite smootie at Jamba. I think they would have done better with a a medium sized stand by the entrance. More traffic would stop. I ordered two iced coffees (one of the simplest drinks to make) and three people who ordered lattes after me received their drinks before me. The barista forgot to add my heavy cream and I had to go back for the add in. Frustrating!! I can almost always count on waiting at least 20 minutes for a drink at that location. Receiving drinks in an improper order only adds to the frustration of a long wait. Why does this location have to be the closest one to my house? Ugh. read more

Almost comically bad service. The two employees on duty, with no line, made customers wait several minutes prior to even a basic acknowledgement. A very simple menu drink then took 10 minutes to create during, as I said above, no line. read more
