Only a few minutes later, another customer waited exactly where we were standing and they didn't say anything to her. The barista taking our order was friendly and welcoming. The pourover was good. It was a true light roast from Costa Rica with fruity bright notes. The espresso was a typical medium-dark roast, nothing to write home about. The milk texture was overly frothy with big bubbles. If you are looking for a third-wave experience or more specialty forward coffee, you're better off looking elsewhere (like Counterpoint).

It was also pretty reasonably priced for the amount of chai you recieve and all the cute accessories to go with it. When I finally received my kit, I was blown away with the flavor!! I am not exaggerating when I say that this chai knocked my socks off. It was extremely flavorful and spicy. Just how I like it! The one thing I will mention is that this chai definitely has caffeine. I did not know that when I made myself an entire pot and was bouncing off the walls! The owner, Nikita, is a real gem and is truly passionate about her chai recipe that has been passed down in her family for generations. I am a huge fan of her and her chai! I highly recommend you order some!

I encourage anyone seeing the need for improvement here - take your complaints to both Starbucks corporate, and Safeway corporate. Tell the Safeway store manager. What bothers me is the way the employees and manager goes out of their way to lie and harass the customers. If they put a fraction of that cynical, rude, mean behavior into actually doing their jobs - it would be a great Starbucks. This looks like a management issue to me. The employees would not behave this way if the manager had actual Starbucks or even Safeway values. Furthermore, a lot of the health violations and cruel behavior is directed by the manager herself.
