The bathroom has a pad lock (which is fine... made me think they're concerned about people misusing the bathroom which can lead to filth) but this bathroom is horrendous. Guy was nice but why is my drink made wrong. Vanilla sweet cream cold brew is not supposed to look and taste like an iced coffee. I literally got this same drink yesterday in NYC and it had sweet cream on top and this one doesn't. Thats why the city is superior to this little annoying town. if I could give this store a zero I would. The people who work there just do not seem to care about helping you, especially if a call or text comes in. Ridiculous because the back is always dirty, if they put their phones down for one second and went to the back to clean up for paying customers as least the ambiance would not be so crappy. The bathroom smells and needs to be cleaned more than once a day but that would mean someone getting off their phones and actually doing some work. Oh and finally, if you make a mistake on an order the response should be, "I am so sorry, lets get that fixed right away for you." Best Starbucks location. A commercial business but a staple of our incredible small town.

The best thing about this Starbucks on Main Street, Doylestown, is the front elevation from the street. It occupies a historic building that dominates a key intersection in the Borough. Very attractive. Sadly, that is where the positives end. Inside, the layout is dreary. Dark on the brightest days, it feels like a morose ghost inhabits it, making for a sense of weariness. The coffee at all Star$$$ is universally bad, and it is no different here. It forces you to upgrade to an expensive alternative to regular coffee, a perverse upsell that seems to work everywhere. The pleasantness of the staff is helpful, but cannot overcome the down energy that is ever present. Many better choices in town, perhaps why the shop was not overly busy while life on the streets around it was jumping. read more

This Starbucks follows their format of taking a local historic building and preserving it while using it for a coffee house. The building is large and impressive resembling an old inn but it was actually a bank. The old vault is showcased inside. There is nice outdoor seating and even a small cobble stone parking lot. The location in Doylestown could not be more central. It's very spacious inside with a back room complete with fireplace. My weakness is the egg, cheese and sausage, a hot sandwich that I occasionally get wherever there is a Starbucks. The strong coffee compliments this perfectly and is a great "morning after". Starbucks is one of the greatest of corporate inventions. I love them even though I also love one-off coffee houses as well. This is a unique and great one. read more

Honestly this is my least favorite Starbucks to go to. It's always crowded, doesn't ever really seem clean and there is always so much staff there and sure on busy days they're needed to keep up with all of the customers, but otherwise they just converse with each other the whole time they're making drinks and barely stop to announce your beverages. I also hate their beverage pickup spot, it's so small and I can never tell which drinks are mine or if they're for pickup. They need a better system in place because I don't have as many problems at other locations with the confusion over drinks. I also ordered a white chocolate mocha the last time I was there and it was sooo bad. That's not the first time I've had bad drinks from this location specifically. Not sure why they are always missing the mark. I do have some good experiences but those are usually few and far between and I'll opt to go to a less crowded and cleaner starbucks. read more

Indie hangout and gathering place for hundreds of delinquent teens on a Friday or Saturday. The time I went there I was on a bike ride through Bucks county and was clad in bright blue spandex racing kit. I was in queue waiting and the guy in front of me was paying for a few coffees with several methods of payment: IE starbucks card, cash and credit card-just for a $20.00 tab. I was patient and when my turn was up next, the barrista (coffee waitress) looked at me and went to the person in back of me and said: "your usual Fran?" It was like I was invisible..I doubt that, as I was wearing a bright blue uniform. I complained to the manager and didn't even get a free cup of coffee. The barristas are pretentious and only seem to want to wait on regulars. I intentionally ask for a "small" or a "large" instead of using their terminology of "vente" and "grande." With the cadre of teens on a weekend night, I avoid the place. read more

We visited this Starbucks in the evening. It was pretty spacious but that could be because I'm used to NYC-sized Starbucks. The bathroom could've been cleaner and parking was a little hard to find. I don't necessarily blame them for this, but there were groups of rowdy kids just hanging around since there was a PokeStop nearby. It was annoying, so we took our order to go. I'm giving this starbucks 5 stars based on the cool staff and the Clover machine. No pour overs here, they use the clover machine which is pretty amazing!! The clover is a reverse French press and it makes an amazing cup of coffee!!! Perfect extraction every time, and now you can pick whatever single origin coffee you want instead of being limited to 3. This is what coffee culture is about!!! I recommend grabbing a coffee and walking down the street to the bookstore!! read more

My two item order was served incorrectly and with attitude. I always ask for my breakfast sandwich on a plate, and it is almost always served in a bag. Besides being wasteful (and face it, Starbucks is pretty self-righteous about environmental friendliness), it is represents that getting a very simple order correct is unimportant. I can't imitate in writing the attitude I received when I said the order was to be on a plate, but it was not friendly nor did she offer to make the order correct. I visit Starbucks less and less, and this one often reminds me of how employee attitude affects workplace atmosphere and customer satisfaction. After several annoying visits at the Starbucks down the road from this one, I decided to go out of my way to visit this location. My drink was perfectly made and the environment is very welcoming. I sat with my toddler to have my drink while she had a snack and I managed to spill almost my entire latte everywhere. Embarrassed, I went to the front counter to ask if they had any towels or a mop and bucket so I could clean up my mess. Without hesitation, Ben and Samantha came out to get the mess cleaned up. Samantha made me a new drink, free of charge. What a pleasant surprise! I thought that was so incredibly generous and they were so helpful. I know I would have been annoyed if I had to clean up someone else's mess, but these two were so cheerful, it made me feel less uncomfortable about the situation. This location gets two thumbs up! I'll be honest as a regular to this starbucks, and many of the others in the area, this one is my least favorite. This starbucks is filthy, inside and out, i understand when is busy there is no time to do a quick clean up, but i've seen this place dead sometimes and it looks so unpleasant. Inside the store the counters and pick up tables are always so sticky, i hate pick up my drink and my hand feels sticky after i pick up my drink. I can get past the filthiness if only I got the proper "Starbucks experience", but I can't even get that from this store. The workers from the moment I walk in are sometimes on their phones or just not paying attention. There has been a few times where I got attitude from the workers to, I know no one likes to work retail but i don't need the attitude. The one time they messed up my order they took the cup without apologizing and then finished the drink and put on the counter without calling it. There has been times to where they just simply forget my food order and I have to wait longer than other people. Again, I understand when they are busy but this has happen to me on a steady day. From my personal experience, I have also seen that they dislike the children that show up in that store specially the teenagers. I thought Starbucks treats all the customers the same. I can keep going about how the workers, of all things, are worst thing about this starbucks experience. This is my favorite Starbucks in Doylestown. The baristas are very chatty and friendly, and inside there are 2 rooms for seating, giving you a view of historic Doylestown. Starbucks is great. The only issue with this one is the space allowed for people to wait for their drinks. There is a ton of space in this location overall, but they have crowded tables too close to the waiting area and it makes getting around in that area difficult. To exacerbate this issue, they have also placed a lot of their additional products (mugs, coffee, etc.) in this area. This makes it difficult to look at these products when they are busy, but it also means that people have to go out of their way to look at them before making a purchase. read more

Very nice Starbucks in heart of Doylestown. This Starbucks sits in a historic building which adds to the cozy inside atmosphere complete with a fireplace. There is also outside seating overlooking downtown. The service is very good and I have been pleased. Parking can be tricky with a small public metered lot behind the building. This is the classic traditional Starbucks set-up; it's relaxed set up with comfortable chairs, a fireplace and of course, excellent coffee is exactly the business model that the founders had in mind and the on-going success of this coffee spot while the others in town have come and gone (Bucks County Coffee, Coffee and Cream, etc.) speaks to it's perfect location and accessibility. I see people complaining about the kids who hang out there (there's really nowhere else in Doylestown for kids to go ... lighten up) and the "dimly lit" interior (it's supposed to be like someone's comfortable living space, not a KMART) but all in all this place is great. I have been in Starbucks stores in many, many states and this is by far my favorite location. The store itself has always been clean and there is plenty of space to sit down and enjoy a little reading and coffee. The staff has always been friendly and I've never had a problem in the perhaps hundreds of times I've been here. Also, I appreciate the fact that the quality and taste has always been consistent. While I might like the idea of the "locally owned" coffee shop, you don't often get that consistency. read more
