Went to this location as I needed to do some lap top work while I waited for a colleague nearby. Waited for about 10 minutes for service at the counter since I brought my Starbucks cup with me. If you aren't a drive through customer or using the app, you are low priority and it definitely feels that way. This location only has wood chairs so seating is adequate but not comfortable. Although I did like the bar stool height option. Music was very loud so I had to use my noise canceling headphones. Coffee was fine. Overall experience, not what I'm used but better than many California locations. Overall, a lesser location versus others. But at least it felt safe inside as I stayed there for about two hours. read more

Wait time here is a little longer than average, like 15 minutes for a drink. We ordered two drinks; one came out reasonably fast, but the second took much longer. I think they are understaffed. Only three people worked there, and drive-thru and walking traffic was busy. The cashier had headphones and was just doing the register, and only two others were making drinks. The system here is disorganized, and all other feedback shows it. I'm not complaining, but this place should hire more people to handle drive-thru and foot traffic. read more

I go to the Starbucks on occasion, sometimes when I just need to get away and have some quiet and sit there and have a cuppa coffee, work on my laptop, and chill out. It's an OK place to do that, surprisingly it's a little bit louder than most Starbucks that I've been to, but that's not their fault, not really anything you can do about that, I think a lot of it is the acoustics in this place. Anyhow, the people that work there are nice, the place stays clean, which is very important to me. They have a lock with a code on the bathroom doors. When you request the code, they won't give it to you. Rather, they walk with you to the bathroom and let you in. It's kind of like being in preschool, and needing to raise your hand and wait for one of the teachers to grant you permission before you can take care of your bathroom needs. read more

I have to stop going to this location. They are so busy socializing with each other, there is no customer awareness among the lot of them. I sent a mobile order for a drink and a sandwich. The app said it would take 7 minutes. I drove there, went inside and waited 15 minutes, watching people come and go. I finally asked what the holdup was. My coffee was sitting behind the pickup rack and my sandwich was in the drive thru. It was lukewarm at best when they handed it to me. Never during that time did someone notice the customer standing there for an unusual amount of time and ask my name or what my order was. They didn't even notice I was there. Dominic consistently provides great customer service with a smile. I have noticed he stopped putting his hands on the lid (EXCELLENT MOVE!). Let me start by saying, it's Starbucks what's there not to love? This location is always packed in the morning since it's on one of the major routes but they're still somehow very fast with the service which is amazing especially when no matter how early you wake up you still find yourself rushing to work. The staff here is also very friendly. I don't recall ever having a problem with an order or anything else for that matter. They have outdoor seating which makes a nice study area or just a relaxing area in the daytime or evening. There is also a very nice ambiance inside. Personally, I can't say too many bad things about Starbucks and I'm certain i'll keep returning and giving them my money. read more

The drive-through was backed up. With the line moving as slow as molasses, I bailed from the line, parked and went inside the store. It took a couple of minutes to be greeted at the cashier's station, but from there everything went smoothly and the service was great. A fast moving drive-thru window for a Starbucks where everybody is ordering custom drinks may not be possible. I think the answer lies in having more baristas mixing drinks simultaneously. Very upset. Ordered double chocolate chip frap and a tea. Took 25 min to get the order. My daughter drink was not even blended all the way. The people behind us got there three fraps before us. When I spoke to the girl saying we are waiting she gave me a nasty attitude and made 4 more drinks after telling her we were waiting for 25 min. I gave a few more min and told another worker we are waiting for a drink. They finally made it but said there out of whip cream. How can you have a frap with no whip. They did not even apologize for the wait or for forgetting our order and didn't even offer or up size the drink to satisfy us at all. This may actually be the worst Starbucks I've ever been to..Today, I watched as those working socialized with another employee who just came to hang out and chat with her friends who were working. I spent 25 minutes inside waiting for one drink and watching as the baristas chatted with their friend. They focus solely on the drive thru even when those customers are not at the window. In the meantime customers are standing around waiting for their drinks. When I finally got my drink the side of the cup was covered in chocolate sauce. She gave me a lecture full of attitude about how i needed to indicate was picking up at the drive through and not front (god forbid she had to walk 5 feet to get the coffee from front counter.) My toddler daughter then asked for some orange juice, so I asked her if I can add it to the order. She then gave me another lecture about how I needed to order at the intercom and not the window. This is a great coffee shop! Service here is hit or miss here! Sometimes you are going to get a nice barista or a bad barista. Our barista kind of had an angry attitude, and did not seem happy about his job. We got our drinks quickly, but mine was really hard to get the drink out of the straw. Waited for 20 minutes and when getting my order they ran out of trays?! Seriously I had to place 6 grande cups through out the car and hold one down till I got back to my destination. This place should be shout down no joke. The drinks tasted expired and I threw up after because of how bad it was and how it tasted like the milk was expired and the service was so so slow. The staff were nice and all but so slow it took 30 minutes just to get 3 drinks when only 2 of there were a small and one venti. I don't recommend this place and still trying to get back my money and this place is so disgusting it's very very dirty not clean AT ALL. It is hard to say that this is my favorite Starbucks being that I visit here once a month (maybe) - but when I have a chance, I'm always happy to stop by because of how great the staff is. For example, I ordered an iced americano one time but it was taking quite a while since there was a very long queue. Sensing that I was there for a long time, Chloe stepped in and asked me if I'd gotten my drink yet. After some time, I did - but a few weeks later when I visited again, this time with my mom, Chloe again went above and beyond and surprised me by offering my mom and I to try the new signature drink that just rolled out. It's the genuine care & beautiful positive energy that always gets to me the most! so much so that I was happy to surprise the staff by bringinh them a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts the weekend afterwards to show my appreciation) - all thanks to Chloe and her amazing personality! read more

They get 5 stars because they are open late (midnight) and the staff are always on point with making my coffee. This place have plenty of seats to hang out with friends. Just good overall ambiance and even if it's busy they move the line along because like I said earlier the staff are great. Any special request you have they would be happy to do it for you. The always have a wide a variety of cake pops for my lil one which is a plus for me. This is one of my favorite starbucks location. Let me just start off this review by saying this place is horrible. There. I said it. This is a nice looking place and all, but don't let that deceive you. The service, need I say, sucks. Once, I placed an online order for 2 drinks. 1 Venti Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel, and 1 Cremè Caramel Crunch Frappuccino. I received my drinks at the drive thru and first, the Caramel Macchiato with EXTRA CARAMEL had half of what they normally give when I don't ask for extra! The Frappuccino was made with coffee. This wouldn't be an issue but I asked for cremè because my daughter is young. I went back inside. They gave me a new crème one, which was made correctly. But this wasn't the only issue. Around a year ago, I went to the drive through with my newborn son and the lady told me that the drive through was closed, but obviously I couldn't leave the car because of the baby. Then she gave me an attitude and told me she would give it to me curbside with a sigh. Like she couldn't walk 10 steps to come to my car. I can't think of one time they've got my order correct. I love Starbucks and have never had an issue with them. Yes, you do have to wait sometimes in a long line of cars but I am very patient and that certainly does not bother me. The staff at the East Brunswick location are super sweet and will gladly give you another drink if they mess your order up. They care about the satisfaction of their customers and will do almost anything to make you happy. If you do not want to be stuck behind cars or people, go to Starbucks at not so busy times of the day. The price per drink can be on the expensive side. It's about $4 if not more for a small latte. However, they are so delicious and it helps when you have gift cards! I highly recommend signing up for their rewards program because you get a free drink for every 12 purchases. Also make sure you ring up orders separately that way you get more stars for that purchase! read more

Only reason why I give it 2 stars is because of what it used to be... It still is a cool place to hang out. And it being 24 hours doesn't hurt it. But the standards have significantly dropped in the recent months. The main issue is directed at the Baristas. They are becoming too friendly and informal. Which was fun at first, but this is still a business that provides a service and product to paying customers. One time this Barista was blasting rap music and singing out loud along with it as people are trying to study or work. There are way too many times to count in which customers are lined up at the cashier to order and all of the Baristas are hanging out by the drive-thru window chatting and laughing and obviously seeing the customers, only to ignore them to finish their stories. And the trash bins outside are over flowing half the times I'm there. It's becoming a ghetto Starbucks and that's just unacceptable. All in all, what a great location, but is under appreciated by the management and corporate level. Something needs to be done about the people who work there. One side note: My experiences are all at night. In the day time, there are less people there and in the day time, I would give this Starbucks a 4-star. read more
