The lady with the red hair greeted everyone that entered beside us. The other staff didn't dare to look at us when we entered, so it was just immediately a no. I went to Starbucks today with my family. We ordered our drinks and sat inside to drink them......everyone who worked there were helpful and nice...I ordered a drink with coconut milk, because I allergic and have problems with milk....I usually always look at the label on my drink to make sure that I get my non milk ( coconut milk or almond milk..etc). I forgot to look at the label on my drink..We were playing cards...and enjoying our Starbucks.....once we left, that's when my stomach problems started....since, I didn't bring my cup with me, and I didn't look at the label when I got my drink, I don't know if I actually had the alternative for milk...but my stomach has been bad since I left.... read more

Passing through Escondido, ordered thru the app and dropped in to use the bathroom while we waited. Our beverages were put out on the pick-up plane and we noticed that one of the drinks definitely didn't resemble the other drinks...and they are all the same drink! I brought this to the barista's attention (her name is Ashley), she had a very condescending attitude and just said that she made all 3 the same. So I went back to the register to speak with another Starbucks partner and she referred me back to the barista who made it...who once again gave me sass about the drink being the same, didn't even offer to fix the drink so I could hit the road. At that moment I decided to just get a refund and buy my drinks elsewhere...and guess what! I did! I stopped by the Starbucks on Auto Parkway in Escondido expecting a simple request to be honored--extra pumps of pistachio syrup on the side for my pistachio latte. I was more than willing to PAY for it, yet Ashley outright refused! I even went the extra mile and called Starbucks corporate, and guess what? They confirmed that there's no official policy against it--it's entirely up to the store! So why the unnecessary attitude and refusal? This kind of inconsistency and lack of customer service is exactly why this location is stuck with a 3-star rating on Yelp. If you want a Starbucks that actually listens to its customers and values their business, I'd suggest going anywhere but here. The first time I was here, I had poor service. The cashier looked like she was tired and done with me even when I had just walked in. Maybe she had a rough day. We all have rough days. This location gets some traffic due to its location next to a busy Target, a school, and several other popular businesses and shops. Service is quick! No drive thru. Ambiance and Food are on par with all other Starbucks. Not very much seating here. This location is on the smaller side. They do have a couple tables and a few chairs outside. No outlets... this is more of a grab-and-go location vice a place you'd try to get work done. read more

Stopped by here omw home from a night out with some girlfriends. It was a cold and windy evening so I needed a hot drink to warm me up. Normally I would have gone to a Starbucks with a drive thru, but this was the closest location from where I was at the time. I was able to park right in front so no biggie. There's a huge parking lot as it's in the Target shopping center. There were about 2 parties ahead of me, so I quickly looked up my secret keto Starbucks menu on the gram. Found the Hot Chai Tea and that was it!! When I ordered, Steven was very upbeat and friendly. He was more than happy to make my keto drink and even said he loved making new drinks! When it was ready, he said to taste it to see if it was to my liking. He kindly offered to tweak it for me if I needed adjustments. I always appreciate when an employee extends that amount of graciousness. He had a stevia packet ready in case I needed a little more sweetness. I tasted it and it was perfect! I thanked him and let him know I didn't need the stevia. I would stop by here again when I'm back in the area. Steven is definitely the role model barista you want to have!! My friend and I used to come down the street from where we work everyday... but they would always mess up his sandwich... it looked like they always carelessly threw it in the bag and he would have to put it back together to eat it... Extremely poor customer service. The two cashiers stood behind the counter, having small talk and never acknowledging me as I waited for my drink. After they were done with their small talk, wanted to cashiers looked over at me and asked are you looking for water? I responded no I'm waiting for my iced tea and she said oh I forgot all about it. I thought I only had water water. she then makes my ice tea handed to me. I placed the straw in the top of the lid and my drink spills over because the straw was too big for the lid. I've been to a lot of Starbucks in my life and this is probably the most disorganized crew I've ever seen... I spent entirely too much time in here for egg bites and a plain black coffee, no frills. There were two people behind me who got their frapacino's before I got my order. (which I believe take much longer than a plain coffee). Got the egg bites, no coffee. By the time I got my coffee, the bites were cold... They hadn't even began to pour it when I had to ask. My iced coffee came out first and tasted pretty good . They made our americano wrong (over ice vs hot) but remade a new one quickly . I have been here twice now. Once during quarantine when we camped at Dixon Lake and stopped here on our way out back home. At that time they had a one-way in and one-way out system as this location is on the long side. It worked great. They had no inside seating. As of 9/18/21, seating is back inside and outside. The staff is always friendly and service is quick. There is also a Starbucks inside target in the same shopping center and with all the other places to eat here the parking lot is a bit hectic. Today I walked in around 7PM and found an employee mopping but he didn't bother to greet me and just stared at me while I stood infront of the cash register so I assumed they were ready to close. Out of politeness I asked are you still open? to which there was no response so I asked again are you open? and the 2 other girls working there giggled? I don't get what's so funny. Are usually never leave bad reviews but, I am very unsatisfied. I usually order a Trenta strawberry açai lemonade with no ice and no strawberries because they usually give a lot of ice. And usually they always fill it up to the top, well now because of some "new policy" they can no longer do that so they only give you a half full cup of drink and still charge the full amount. I didn't want to be a Karen in the store so I just excepted it, but I felt like they should've put these new terms and conditions on the app, because I paid full price for a half empty drink. read more

Two very different experiences on two occasions. The first time we were greeted immediately and were able to get our holiday tea served up quickly. The second time around they were out of just about everything, including any decaf coffee, their holiday spice coffee and a variety of other items. Customers were not happy. We scarfed up the last two holiday teas. The single stall bathroom had a sign on it "Out of order - sorry". This is not a way to run a business. read more

I ordered my coffee this morning ahead of time on the app due to the fact that i was running short on my time to get to work today. I am lactose intolerant and i always get my coffee's with oat milk and i have ordered my usual coffee the same exact way whenever i come to this location, but today I noticed that my coffee tasted a bit different but I had no time to check due to my time restraint and the fact I had to get to work. Unfortunately this is not a good Starbucks location. My mother in law picked up 2 trenta light ice Irish cream cold brews a couple weeks ago and they were horrible. I thought maybe it was the 7-8 min drive to my house as there was no cream on the top at all and they were not the usual color (although we had the same drinks delivered from Uber Eats from a different location and they were great). I am sad to say the drive was not the reason why they were not palatable. We thought maybe it was a bad batch of ice or the water they used to make the cold brew that lended to the off taste. We decided to try this location again as it was a convenient location, but this time I ordered at the counter and as soon as they handed me what a was supposed to be a trenta light ice Irish cream cold brew I could see it was not made correctly. Again, there was no cream at the top and they said it was because it was light ice, but this is one of my favorite drinks and I get it the same way every time and this is the only location so far (and hopefully it will be the only one as one of the perks of going to any Starbucks is the consistency of the way the drinks are made) that can't make it taste good. They were not very friendly after I said it did not look right. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. I was able to get a refund, but I would have preferred to have the drink as it is only around for a limited time. I will not be trying this location again and do not recommend it. read more
