Ordered online from The Coffee Bean on Carmel Mountain when I was about five minutes away, and everything was ready by the time I arrived. Both drinks were made perfectly with no issues whatsoever. The Caramel Latte with Coconut Cold Foam was smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet, while the Hibiscus Berry Sunrise Tea was bright, fruity, and incredibly refreshing. Both were delicious. The staff was kind and polite, the location was clean, and there was plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Quick, easy, and exactly what you want from a coffee run. read more

Love this Coffee Bean, one of our favorite locations to grab a coffee and walk around the local shops. The drinks are always consistent and good and around the holidays they have some tasty holiday treats. The staff is very help and kind and Kyle is the best. Always smiling and cheerful, he makes our day when we get to see him. This location tends to get very crowded so sometimes it takes a bit longer to get drinks but they get out orders as fast as they can. Plenty of seats inside and there is plenty of seats outside which is nice to sit and relax. Mobile ordering is easy and there is a little pick up area on the side. The Coffee Bean app is great, if you sign up you can accumulate points for free customizations, quarterly drinks, and somewhat daily deals (when avail that is). read more

Was my favorite because they always had the sugar free chocolate for the mochas, but they don't have it anymore. Only for purchase! Total bummer. That was my favorite thing to have here, they still have the sugar free vanilla but that's it. I refer their powder over Starbucks syrups etc.. read more

Your cashier needs to better assist your customers on what they asked for. Asked for a iced blended vanilla with Carmel drizzle we've gotten it from coffee bean before she was completely confused she kept asking multiple questions and asking if this was what we were asking for we said forget it and canceled that went ahead and ordered white Ice blended with a shot added add white cream I didn't get the extra shot or whip cream with oat milk. I ordered a iced blended Carmel with extra Carmel drizzle on my cup and on top she proceeded to tell me it comes with it and I told her I hardly ever get any so I'm asking for extra please she seemed confused and added oat milk I don't normally get that and I'm not sure why she even recommended it bcuz I didn't ask for it personally she was confused from the previous order. No wonder this place has only 3 stars. Incredibly bad service and rude employees. One was on his phone while they were completely backed up. We did a mobile order, but they would not complete the mobile orders and only did the in store orders. There were no names on the orders so no one knew what their orders were. They messed up the majority of orders. When we did finally get our drinks, they were crap. Asked for light ice, they loaded it with ice. There was no flavor whatsoever. Initially, I had an okay experience, but then I started to pick up the smell of cigarettes. Then, as I was packing up my stuff to leave at 7:59 pm, I asked a young lady at the counter if I could use the bathroom one last time, and she said, "We're closed." The original mocha tasted decent; the kids liked it but too sweet for my liking. The boba was chewy/hard so the kids didn't finish their drink bc of that. The Vietnamese coffee wasn't too sweet and the crushed ice texture was a nice texture when drinking without a straw. I highly recommend the matcha cream cap. (I love my dirty matcha drinks!) Service was great. Drinks came out fast. Lots of seating and tables available if you prefer to work at coffee shops. read more

It was convenient and had comfy seating. I felt it was a bit expensive for the amount of tea. The iced tea was mostly crushed ice with maybe half a cup of tea in a large cup. It was overly sweet to the point that I just waited for the ice to melt to water it down. I guess most people prefer it this sweet? Personally I would rather it is under-sweetened, so that I can add more if I need it. Service was excellent, and parking is easy. read more

New to this store and stopped by to get a drink real quick. It's located in a nice little strip mall featuring a variety of stores. Walking in there were 2 people working and no line, " great!' I told myslef. Thinking it was perfect timing. Unfortunately, not so much. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a large iced beverage. The person at the counter was nice but the person at the bar was making another customer a drink and looking at her phone, for what, who knows. We like in San Marcos and drive to this location most weekends. Coffee bean is one of my favorite coffee spots. I love that they use powder in their drinks vs. syrup. ( at least for the mocha) The staff is always very sweet. Had seating so you can sit and enjoy a proper coffee date. I wish there were more coffee bean locations in North County SD. Let's be real. Coffee Bean just tastes better than its competitor Starbuck's. The variety of drinks offered are more enticing and have more flavor. Even though the prices are comparable, Coffee Bean has a neighborly vibe and Starbucks has a fast paced assembly line vibe with kudos on exceptional service. Now the drinks I'm comparing are basic like Chai latte, hot chocolate and white mocha latte and good ol' drip coffee. We may one day discover it's the same company with a pseudonym. This location is within the shopping plaza and makes it easy to drink and shop. The year is coming to an end. I hope you achieved that "one thing" that made a huge impact. read more

I got a vanilla drink here, and it was okay. I honestly liked the vanilla drink from Starbucks better. But 2 drinks here were cheaper than at Starbucks, and the employees were nice! It's clean in here, lots of wheelchair accessible seating, wifi, and a good place to work/study/sit and talk with friends. read more

Maybe they're having a case of the Mondays, but my husband ordered us drinks and noticed the parties that arrived after him receiving their drinks way before his. It wasn't super busy and He's super patient, letting about 10 minutes pass by before asking them about his order and turns out they lost it. I love Coffee Bean coffee and have been going here for years. To be accurate I went to the Coffee Bean in Carmel Valley on Carmel Country Rd that is now closed (that was a fantastic store run by very professional staff). The one at Carmel Mountain has a toxic group of workers, they are quite rude and curt. Ordered a latte and forgot to ask for Almond milk due to allergies to dairy. A minute into my order I remembered I forgot to ask for almond milk and told the barista, he slapped down the dairy latte in front of me and said "too-late I already made the milk". Turned away from me to not be bothered....unbelievably rude, never would get treated this way at Starbucks they would just remake it for you if that was the case. Done with this place it should shut down like the rest of their stores. read more

I've never had an issue with my orders! Most coffees are very sweet so adjust sweetness accordingly, but otherwise I love all the drink options. I've never been inside bc I always order delivery so I can't speak to the ambiance. read more

The WORST customer service experience!! Came here on Mother's Day and ordered a drip coffee with one scoop of hazelnut powder. From the moment I walked in it took 10 minutes just to order even though there was only 2 customers ahead of me. After I ordered I waited 15 minutes and realized only mobile orders were being made. I asked about my order and the baristas clearly forgot my order as they were scrambling to find my order and couldn't find it. Then they made it but left my drink behind the counter and didn't even give it to me until a few minutes later!! All in all I spent 30 minutes for one drink and wasted 30 minutes of my morning here with no apologies or explanation to make the situation better. read more

Man, it's disappointing that my "go-to" spot for coffee and tea has turned into such a downer. I've been coming here for YEARS, but ever since that location got a manager/supervisor, this location has become a drag to visit or even get work done. I'll start by saying I'm currently in my first year of medical school and I oftentimes need to leave my home for a change of scenery while studying. This location WAS great for me: stable internet, great atmosphere, and super kind staff, and close to home. However, this took an immediate turn since my last review. Now, whenever I go, it's an icebox and cannot stay for more than an hour. I know this is a problem because other paying customers have voiced their concerns. It may not seem like a big deal, but when we asked the staff about it, they told us they could not do anything about it, as their manager/supervisor likes it that way. It gives the impression you don't want any paying customers to stay in the building. Secondly, as of recent, their Wi-Fi system has been unusable. It's been like this for months. What happened??? My third issue revolves around said manager/supervisor. I had ordered over the app and when I went to pick it up, the order was wrong. I brought it up to her and she rolled her eyes while snatching it from the counter what seemed like disgust. I figured that maybe she was having a bad day. I came again with my sister on a separate occasion to pick up coffee for my family. Upon ordering at the counter, she continuously asked "... is that it?" after each additional drink, almost annoyed that we were supporting the establishment. I love Coffee Bean. Easily my favorite place when it comes to coffee and tea. But this location has dwindled down to a negative and nonproductive environment. read more
