The staff is friendly and service is amazing. It is a good place to get coffee and chai made consistently at all hours. My only criticism is the actual coffee itself - the beans always taste a bit overdone and have a dairy farm-like aftertaste. All Starbucks seems to be consistent in this regard. The service is so much better, I honestly only came early mornings and some afternoons. I always had one good lady who made me smile everytime I go there. Several times within the past couple months, it has gotten quite busy here but I ways place a mobile order. The mobile order said it would be ready in 5 minutes but walking in, it was completely packed with a bunch of people waiting for their drinks. From the time I ordered it, I waited 25 minutes over the "estimated ready" time. While I understand them being busy, it was just a little frustrating wanting to stop by for a quick pick me up and wasting 30 minutes. Personally I think the idea of a drive thru screams yuppie. There's obviously a demand for it, yet I won't be sitting in line behind suburban Kevin's and Karen's. Go inside like a regular person. This is a busy location, so for zen time it's not that. Yet what it offers is a caffeine boost, of which I'm grateful right now for. Last nights sleep left a lot to be desired. Plenty of parking spots. My recommendation is the mocha frappe or Yukon Blend. During the season, the Christmas blend is delicious and eye opening. They have some snacks too. I love having a Starbucks less than a mile down the road. My husband and I order ahead for grab and go anytime we are going on a road trip or random weekend adventure. I know some people do not like the Starbucks roast...aka charbucks...but I like dark roast coffee; so it suits me just fine. I'm trying the different pistachio options lately, but I usually order either a basic latte or cold brew. My husband normally orders a cup of their darkest roast available at the time. The folks at this location are always kind to us and I definitely feel for anyone working in a fast paced food industry position, as the work is in demand, but often thankless. This particular Starbucks is located off of Columbia Pike, in the Harris Teeter plaza. As other Starbucks, the menu offers various freshly-brewed hot and cold coffee, teas, bottled drinks, smoothies, handcrafted sodas, frappes, sandwiches, and pastries. What makes this SB more convenient is that it has a drive-thru. The hubs and I stopped by while in the area, and since the drive-thru was a little long, we decided to pop-in. There was a line and a long list of orders, but the baristas were pumping them out! I ordered my usual Trenta Pink Drink and the Tall Guava Passionfruit - both were made well and served cold. It's a bit of pain to enter and exit the plaza with the busy traffic and the intersections, and some traffic does overflow from the BoA ATM customers adjacent to it. I have gone here multiple times and various days of the week. The drink I get which is a white chocolate mocha with 2 pumps of toffee nut syrup and extra shot of espresso, always tastes like the coffee has been burnt and at the bottom of a pot and watery. A couple of times they used the wrong syrup. The whip cream tastes like it is about ready to sour and go bad. I will not be going back. This use to be one of the better Starbucks. read more

This used to be the best Starbucks around. The people used to be nice and friendly. The drinks used to be on point but now the last few times I've gone it was a waste of my money. I went today and I ordered two drinks, and it took a sip of one before I left because the color was off, and the flavor was not there. I asked her to please fix it, and all I was given was some extra chai to add to my chai tea latte. I also got a caramel ribbon crunch frappe and I think they forgot the caramel. I did tell the lady that gave me my drinks that they just did not look right in color and she assured me that they were made right when my son drink his drink, he said it was disgusting. this is not the first time it's been several times in the last couple weeks and I noticed they have a lot of new workers there. I went there last week and I asked for an iced chai tea latte and I was given a hot chai tea latte and when I told the young teenager that was working the drive-through window that I ordered iced not hot. She had the nerve to roll her eyes at me which was very rude when I had made it clear several times that I wanted ice and not hot. There are a couple workers that are there young teenagers that are really nice and friendly and they try to make it right but the ones that we're working today and last week,were ridiculous. Skip the drive thru and just go inside! On the drive-thru they tend to get busy and rush you out while skipping customer service. Just had a poor experience. Did not receive a hot sleeve, nor any of the requests I asked for. Once I left, I called the store and spoke with the manager and told her about my experience. She was super nice, apologized and said the gal was still in training, and said next drink on them. Upon next visit, service was awesome inside. It usually is. Only problem, I think this is a cab driver hang out, or a place where men gather and discuss things in their language super loud. They stare at women like their aliens or something. I am sure they're nice folks, just feels awkward with 15 men oogling at you, but its certainly not as bad as the Bailey's Crossroads Starbucks, but not too far from it. Service is fine inside. Consistently bad service. Order a plain coffee black and the person at the cash register who takes your order will turn around, pour your drink then give it to you. However, order some food with it and the story is much different. You get your drink and then you are directed to the other end of the counter where you wait, and wait, and wait for what could easily be 20 minutes or more. Yesterday I ordered a cinnamon roll warmed. There must have been a specially trained person who was the ONLY person allowed to warm and serve the cinnamon roll and they must have been on a long smoke break because I waited a long time. Eventually I could no longer take it so I waited in line again to cancel the order whereby one of the servers pulled it from a shelf behind the register. I suppose the order was processed.but the person designated to actually give it to me must have been on break. The long wait is normal. I plan to never return. read more

This location is one of the busiest Starbucks in the area because of the drive through (which I'm not complaining because we are all too lazy to leave our cars to enter the building), with that being said I come to this location almost every day and my coffee is always made to perfection. I have been to virtually all the starbucks in the area and I never receive the same drink twice but here, there people follow the recipe to the T and never fail me. If during drive thru, I repeated my order twice, and you asked -again- if I wanted sugar and I said no, you still give me tea with sugar, and then I have to go back in store to get it corrected, yes, I will be pissed. When I went back, she saw me and smirked. I let it go and asked if I could have it made again. My time was wasted when I went through drive thru so I could grab n' go quickly. If you just hand me my drink without looking at me and say nothing - no "Here is your drink" or hello or anything - then yes, I am going to think, "Why are you even working there if you are going to look miserable and don't have any basic customer service skills?" Usually, I would let this go, but I am pretty sure that girl at drive thru purposely put sugar in my drink when I told her no three times. That, my sir, is just cruel. The male barista on 11/6/20 around 2pm with a Santa hat and stretched ears was so so kind! He had a really pleasant demeanor and said hi and have a good day to every single person picking up even though most people seemed to be less than kind to him back. I think every worker at this store is really really nice and helpful. It's just a busy store and their wait time is pretty long, but they have a drive thru, mobile orders, and in person orders and there's always a line wrapped around the drive thru AND in person....busy busy. I don't think it's their fault it seems to be the volume, and there's always like 8 people working behind the counter so it's not like they're not trying their hardest. I don't think I come here too often but I've never had a bad experience, the drinks do taste really well made and made how you've ordered them, and the baristas are again really kind. It's been a while since I wrote my first review for this Starbuck. I am truly sorry it has been so long. Not only has this become my go to Starbucks, but it is also now a happy place. First, the drive thru is a godsend in the morning. I have unfortunately started a Starbucks Refresher habit and get one almost every morning. By now the staff knows me by voice and order. Even if I'm exhausted at 6:30 in the morning when I pull in, the know my order enough to serve it right all the time. It also seems to bread a culture of 'pay it forward' where about once a month someone buys my drink for me. (Yes, I do pass it on too.) Second, as an aspiring writer, I find this a good place to edit and write. After remodeling it seems to have become a place with the perfect balance in noise level. It is loud enough so you don't feel completely isolated, but quiet enough to concentrate. In fact, I was once able to dictate there without distracting anyone. Finally, the staff is for the most part friendly and competent. There are one of two people that are slow as molasses, but in general the orders come up quickly and correct. read more
