One star because the drive-through is like a 40 minute wait feels like and when you go inside to order they're trying to convince you not to order certain drinks because it'll take too long because have like 20 people to do OK so maybe this place needs to hire some new people to help because they're acting like it's just too much to handle I get it at the same time the wait is like crazy. Being the only Starbucks on the entire base of Fort Stewart, this location has the important and enormous responsibility of caffeinating an army, literally...haha! C'mon! You knew it was coming! If you've never been, you can only imagine how busy that location can get! I stopped there in the morning before heading to a retirement ceremony and just waiting in line and watching their process, you gotta give it to them, the staff handle it the best they can and do a pretty good job doing it. - Parking - It's attached to the PX. Center lot. - Vibe - It seems that the location had been recently renovated. The store is the standard size, and no means small, but when you have a whole troop in there, one can feel like sardines in a can. One thing that I found interesting and stood out was the artwork they chose for this particular location which was a military theme. I thought that was pretty neat. If you read the plaque below the art pieces, it was created by Jennifer Ament, an artist in Seattle who comes from a military family. - TLC - There were about 7 staff members and not one was standing still. There were service members everywhere and some were probably sent after losing a game of rock paper scissors to go for THE Starbukcs run at the only Starbucks on base! The staff seemed to have a pretty good flow going to serve both people in the store and the long line of cars I saw driving up to the drive thru. The lady making the drinks for the in-store purchases was pretty robotic, but was pretty efficient. She looked like she could probably do it in her sleep, welcoming customers as soon as they walked in the door while slaying the barista game. - Eats / Refreshments - Iced Chai Latte - I always get this with whole milk. Tastes so much better! Ham and Swiss Breakfast Sandwich - Please note that they seem to have a ham and cheese croissant too, which was the first thing one of the staff members gave me, so it can be confusing. No big deal though. She apologized and heated up what I had ordered which was the Ham and Swiss Sandwich that comes on a bun that is kinda like a croissant. Pretty standard and one of my go to items. - Heads Up - Did I mention they have a drive thru? I don't think one is faster than the other from what I could tell. Just depends on how lazy you feel. Also, one thing to note about Starbucks locations on bases in general, is that, I believe they are licensees of Starbucks and although you can use the rewards program like you would any other location, where you can add money, accumulate points, you cannot redeem the points for any free food or drinks. For a location that is that busy, I think they handle themselves pretty well. I just wouldn't go there if you're trying to get your first cup of coffee of the morning because you may need to wait like the rest of them. read more

This location gets pretty busy in the morning but the ladies behind the counter are machines! They work hard and produce great tasting beverages. If you go for a week straight, they tend to remember you and your drink order. The staff is friendly, helpful and striving to ensure your order is right (remakes it if it isn't). I prefer this location to the one off post, especially since they recently started allowing mobile ordering ahead and star redemptions. read more

This is the next McDonald's in the way that they Will Get Your Order Wrong every single time. The way my Expresso drinks tastes you can tell they let the shots die because it is bitter and just not good unfortunately! Also, if I am paying 5+$ on a coffee you best believe I will say something if it's wrong. I WILL ask for it to be remade as it is one of Starbucks customer promise "if it's not perfect let them know to remake it", but Everytime I do these people have attitude ! They just have a bunch of orders sitting out and I asked about my order the woman was rude and snapped at me said if they called your name it's there well my name is sara they called Tara (someone else's drink order) and I ordered 4 things and only one was sitting there after 10 mins not even our drinks! For being the only coffee joint on a VERY busy and packed military installation, it's alright. Yes, busier times of the day, be prepared to wait. I went in at 4:15 on a Monday and had my drink within a few minutes. Decent Customer service in this area in general is majorly lacking anyway, so don't set your expectations too high for that at most places around here. Being from Washington where Starbucks originated and visiting many others over my life time I have to say this one is a little disappointing. I'm glad one finally opened up in Hinesville because if you're accustomed only to the one on post and have never visited another one you're missing out. One of the biggest flaws with this one is service! And I know people have mentioned it before but come on, you're getting paid to work, having a pleasant attitude while working will take you so much further, it really doesn't hurt to smile and I get some days are harder than others but anytime I've come here it's been the same thing, different workers all looking miserable. Drinks too are not the greatest here even though it is a Starbucks half the time the workers just can't get it right and if you say something it's like you're offending them but for the prices Starbucks charges per drink I want my order correct. It's nice they offer this on post but whenever I have the option o rather take the extra 15 minute drive and go into Hinesville where I feel like a valued customer and where I can actually get my Starbucks rewards. read more

This is probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. It really upsets me it's the closest one and the only one on post because it's just awful. They RARELY get my order right. They can't keep my order straight with someone else's in the drive through. And then when I'm handed the wrong drink they act like it's MY fault they got it wrong. They repeat my order back to me when I want a hot latte and 8/10 times I get to the window and it's cold. One time I ordered a hot coffee and somehow she got a white mocha out of that!?? Idk it's just awful. They are slow as molasses too. One of the males is awful at making drinks. One of my lattes he made tastes like straight coffee..: not that I don't like it but that's not what I paid for. Then when I actually did just get coffee I ordered it with almond milk and he charged me for it but never put it in my drink... they need to get it together here. If I could I would give them a zero!! I am in town for business! They are the only Starbucks on base! They are super slow! The employees do not know the menu at all! I did not order anything special. I ordered something right off the menu and they had to go get someone from the back to make it be no one knew how to make it and even then it still took me 20 minutes in there and I was the only person in there when I walked in and ordered. This little place gets BUSY! It seems deterring to walk in and see the long line, but those little ladies behind the counter must have some magic powers because they pop those drinks out. When it comes to my Starbucks coffee I'm picky. I'm not going in ordering grande soy latte 1/2 chai with an extra shot, 2 pumps of vanilla, a dash of nutmeg, and whatever crazy combination you can order, but I've got a very particular way I want my coffee done. I used to work at Starbucks so I want them to make it as good as I would. The key with Starbucks or any restaurant is knowing exactly what you want. Don't get your drink back and it not be what you wanted then get mad at the staff. Communication is a two way street so tell your barista what you want and make sure they write it on the cup it's correct. It's also essential that you try your beverage after you get it. If it's not right inform the staff and have them remake it. I've had to send two drinks back and every time they were able to make the correction without me having to wait or holding up the line. It's a normal Starbucks as far as looks, feel, and products offered. However, it is run by AAFES or "The Exchange," so it has its issues. Personnel are friendly for the most part with a few that obviously don't want to be working, just want the pay check. And it is slow, so long lines at the normal 0745-0900. My biggest issue and the reason for the 3 stars is consistency. It all depends on which employees are making the drinks whether you get a good Orr bad product. There are some employees of I see they are making the drinks, I just leave after walking in because I know it is going to be bad. This place is hit or miss, but all there is for a variety of coffee items on post. Would much rather go to Way Station Coffee in Richmond Hill if I had the time. read more

Not quite sure why this place has been getting such low reviews. I've been here on multiple occasions and each time I've had a positive experience. Depending on when you go there, you may have a wait, since it is the only Starbucks within 30 minutes and it is on a large military base, however, they get the drinks out pretty quick. There is usually plenty of seating, either at a table or on comfy leather couches, but again, depends on when you come in. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and quiet, so it's a perfect place to do some work. I will say, the only downside (& the main reason I am giving 4 stars) is that there is no Wi-Fi, which is a real downer, especially if you need the internet for work/classes. I was told by the employees that the PX food court offers Wi-Fi, but I prefer the coffee shop atmosphere over a noisy food court. I guess you win some, you lose some. read more

Probably one of the worst customer service I have ever had. I am a barista and no one should be treated like this. Not only did it take my drink 20 min but when I was explaining the drink to person at register she didn't even know what it was. I wanted a nitro salted cream cold foam and she cut me off saying so the cascara, no I want the nitro. As she rolled her eyes multiple times. She left the register while i was still waiting to pay and she started making drinks. Took her 10 min to make a drink and said here you go cascara I said no that is not what I wanted then she said well I don't know how to make yours so I told her how. The biggest attitude and when the manager finally came out to help she yelled crossed the room saying what was it you wanted ? I'm normally a fan of Starbucks. I am not, however, of this one. I stopped in here when we first relocated to Fort Stewart in early May to get my fix. Being that we were the ONLY customers in sight, which is strange for it being on post right next to the busy PX, you'd think that service would be pretty quick. You'd THINK. There were three employees in the store, pretty much doing nothing, we stood there for a good five minutes without acknowledgment from ANY of the employees. One of the girls stocking the cold case up front glanced in our direction, but that's about all we got. Needless to say, we left. I didn't need a fix that bad, especially from rude assholes. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to open a coffee shop so late on weekdays and even later on weekends, but they sure need to evaluate their decision. As far as the staff, overall, they are ok, but not your normal pleasant ones at other locations. While this store stays in business due to it's name and being the only coffee place on base, outside the gate, it would see much lower sales. Just not a typical store. read more
