I am not someone that goes to Starbucks or any other coffee shop really, although my sister loves coffee so when I am in town I go here with her and often grab a bite to eat and she will grab a coffee. Pros: The drive thru is very convenient. There is plenty of seating inside. Everyone is always very friendly. The service is fast. The inside is very clean. You will have to ask for the code to use the restroom. Cons: The food is good, although overpriced in my opinion, but that is Starbucks in a nutshell for me and knew this beforehand. Overall, a great experience whether you use the drive thru to meet your coffee or snack needs or enjoy your coffee inside. read more

Buzzing around Fortuna for a while it was time for a coffee stop. Even in this small town, Starbucks was just down the street! There was ample available seating and we had a satisfying break from touring. My wife had the Cold Brew White Chocolate Macadamia Cream, a new drink for her, and she loved it. I was quite pleased that the barista was not phased by my custom keto latte drink and they nailed it! For fellow low carb keto people, you can still enjoy Starbucks with this Keto Latte: order an Americano, with only 3/4 water instead of all the way full. The nicest people work here. We have stopped by several times during our visit for our Starbucks fix and what great service, beverages, and food. Staff for the most part is usually really friendly, cheerful and nice. Rule of thumb: If you wish to order on separate orders at the drive through make sure you make it clear by saying: I am going to have (#) separate transactions. 1st order is: ___. 2nd order is___. The reason I mention this is because on the app you can get stars via separate transactions, either through the drive-through or it can be done through the mobile app. Make sure to make one purchase at a time. The store is usually opened during covid. If you are interested in a mug you can ask a person to grab it for you. This store Lacks customer service of any kind! It's insulting the way they treat you when you're older! I ordered a specialty drink with dragon fruit and matcha made with coconut milk and vanilla bean frappe. The woman working there said that was two drinks and that she would have to charge me for two drinks and I said well like what would that be like $12 and she said no like way more than that like $18! I ordered a vanilla bean frappe with white mocha and strawberry puree. I got a vanilla bean Carmel frappe with white mocha and strawberry puree. So not a huge difference right but the Carmel made it taste like poo. I told the lady at the order window it was incorrect and she said "well they blended it all together OKAY" she was older and perhaps hard of hearing, maybe that's why she was hollering. I don't know but the fact I said it was wrong they should of remade it. I posted pictures of what I ALWAYS get and what I received today. I used to work at Starbucks and know how simple these drinks are to make and how many calories are in them. So, whenever I think about getting a drink from here I worry about whether the quality of the drink and service will be worth it. The Fortuna store is apparently never worth it. Sad. They really need to train these people to handle a little pressure. And to simply make a quality drink. You can see I have a little more in this one, but this is still not worth five bucks. Constantly have to go to eureka to have them fix my drink! I've complained many times and nothing ever changes!

The only Starbucks in 3 states that I have been to where Mobile Orders mean you have to wait in line still. Every other Starbucks, including Eureka, you do your mobile order than you go to the pick up and get your coffee. Here? You have to go to cashier and wait in line because the barista is wearing a headset and cannot hear you. Problem with that is that 10 people can be working and 9 people are wearing a headset, so I guess no one wants to help people. ‍ While that was annoying, what is even more astonishing is 1 of their baristas likes to walk and dance around the parking lot half naked for the entire plaza to see. I get it, what you do on your breaks has nothing to do with the company, but you represent your company at least try not to do it in front of the store you work for. read more

Came here a few times with my family while visiting my Aunt up in Fortuna. This location is really nice and i wish I could find one with the same setup back home in San Jose! They have a huge outside sitting area covered which is great if it starts to rain or to keep the heat in. Lots of tables and chairs and the perfect study location. I liked the inside and it was also very big with a large sitting area in the back left side. Again a good spot to study at. Bathrooms were clean as well. Service here is very friendly and our drinks were made to perfection. I definitely will be back here on my next trip to see my family. read more

OK, so I ask for an iced mocha. And it came with whipped cream on it. I mentioned to the barrista , "Hey, you should tell customers that the drink comes with whipped cream so they have the option to say NO they dont want whipped cream" She looked sheepishly at me. I came to visit from out of town to see family. It's a tradition that we go to Starbucks in the morning. My only complaint is that the drive-thru was built on the wrong part of the building, it's so awkward going into the drive-thru from the road when it's right on the edge, and when the line gets busy there's not much room for anyone to go. This last weekend when I visited the drive-thru was closed anyway so I went inside. The service was very fast and efficient, and I even got a breakfast sandwich. Now this is all the way down Fortuna street and clearly located for highway traffic and not actually for local Fortunans (Fortunites?), but still. Here's the thing: Starbucks is Starbucks, no matter where you go. And this is no exception. It's clean, reliable, and consistent. Whenever I'm visiting my family in Fortuna and need to sneak way from the insanity that is too many hicks in one room, I head to Starbucks with my snobby-ass self and get a chai and some cookies and pretend I'm back in an actual city... which is of course the down-side to Starbucks: I could literally be in any other city and have the same experience. Went to get coffee for my wife, mother in law, son, and daughter today. I order, get up to the window, and give the lady my debit card. She puts it in, and it didn't work. She tells me, "It may be our machine. It gives us problems sometimes." That's fine, I mean, I just used it before starbucks and it worked fine... so, after trying it a few times, she tells me, "Sorry, the card isn't working." Which was weird, cause it just worked before. So, then she gives me back my card and there's this awkward moment. So, I tell her, I don't own a credit card... so then the girl behind her says, "Well, if you can't pay..." so, I said, ok, so that's it? She says, "Yeah." So I drove off. I know I was there in the drive thru for about 5 minutes. My drinks were already made, and it's potentially your card machine that is "Giving you problems." So, now I just drive off without anything. I get it, yeah, I didn't pay for the drinks.... you don't have to give me anything I didn't pay for. That being said.... it could be your machine that just isn't taking my card for whatever reason, and I'm just out of luck. 10 minutes in line, and no drinks for anyone... even though they're made. Even though you can't use them. Even though it's a waste of my time. Seems like pretty crappy customer service to me. Especially when there are no options given to the customer. I got home, told my wife there was no drinks because my card wasn't working in the machine at Starbucks, and my wife, a past employee of Starbucks (for 5 years in the Bay Area), says, why didn't they just advise you to download the app and set it up so you could pay through the app? Or, why didn't they just type in the debit card number? I told her I didn't know... I am usually with my wife when we go to starbucks, and she usually drives so she pays on her phone. I don't really ever go without her, so I don't have the app on my phone. Seems to me like that would have been a good option. Have the customer set up the app, and someone could then bring my drinks out to my car or I could go inside? Sure beats the option to just leave the store while my drinks I ordered are either thrown out, given out, or consumed by the Starbucks employees! What really irritated me, was the response from the girl behind the register who said in a snotty tone, "Well, if you can't pay..." wow, so I guess I'll just leave then... oh, yeah, and not ever be back. Never coming to this Starbucks again. If I could give them zero stars I would. I would go out of my way to the Eureka store (which is 40 minutes from my house) just to avoid this one. I'm a usual of this establishment and I came here because I could relax at lunch time other than in my car. They change the furniture a couple days ago. I can tell you with total openness that it sucks. It is uncomfortable your back can not relax. There is two armchairs for the whole shop. I thought that they make more money than that...cheap. I had an order of 5 drinks today including 2 hot lattes, one hot chai, one iced macchiato and one frapp. All 3 hot drinks were not only not steamed to the correct temperature but they were all at least one inch from the top of the cups. As a barista myself I was incredibly annoyed that anyone would think that's acceptable to hand to a customer let alone at a Starbucks, the most well known coffee chain.
