I can't believe I am giving a 5 star review to a "fast food" type restaurant. However, if anyone deserves this, it is the Shaw and Woodrow Starbucks. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with customer service, drinks, mobile order, etc. The service is always friendly, no matter what I always get a "welcome in!" when I walk through the door, whether to order or for a mobile pick up. The drive thru staff is friendly and succinct with chats and orders. My mobile orders are ready for pick up when I arrive at the designated time (I don't have to check in before they make it-like some other locations have been doing.) sometimes, they have even been ready sooner than the designated time!! And the drinks- I never have a problem with the way they are made!! Always delicious. I don't know what it is about you Shaw/Woodrow, but keep it up!! We appreciate your work! Thank you! read more

The older sister and I came here on 12/17/20 as we were in the mood for Starbucks. I haven't been to this location in a while. Mostly came here during my Undergrad as I went to Fresno State and my classmates for group projects would want to come here. At the time I was not a fan of Starbucks (2012ish) as they didn't have friendly offerings for us tea lovers and plus the smell of their coffee was so strong it gave me headaches even to this day I can't stay inside a Starbucks too long! So many memories here at this location. Plus My favorite Mexican restaurant Don Pepe's is right behind them. Anywho, on this day I got to get my favorite drink with honey blend. The staff was friendly, very chipper and so quick! We were in and out within minutes which the quality was still to my liking! No complaints. My sister and I were happy campers. read more

Horrible and no common sense Baristas. I went into drive ordered 3 NON-difficult venti drinks. The drinks are okay. The experience, no. I will never again go to this Damm Starbucks. I mentioned that their baristas have no common sense. 3 "heavy" drinks = stable cup holder. Let me break it down for the baristas that don't know or have any common sense. When an individual buys 3 drinks or more that are considered big or in this case, "heavy"; your brain should be thinking. "Hmmmm, the venti drinks are somewhat tall and heavy.... I should be using my brain and give them 2 cup holders stacked on top of each other to give them a more stable cup holder. Why? Oh because Starbucks cheap out on their quality of things such as cup holders and overall the cup holders kinda suck." I am often cynical about the quality of Starbucks locations. Because they are chains they look and feel identical everywhere, which sometimes means identical mediocrity. This particular Starbucks was like others in most ways, but had two noteworthy exceptions. One: the bathrooms were pretty clean. This is important since now that everyone knows that you can walk into any Starbucks and use the bathroom without buying anything, the bathrooms are often like public restrooms in cleanliness--meaning filthy. This locations bathrooms were surprisingly clean. Although the bathroom did have hair on the ground, some Fresno state student must have groomed herself in the bathroom. The second notable difference is that the customer service was surprisingly satisfactory. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and green tea. They must have forgotten the tea, and when the manager realized this he made an earnest effort to make up. He promptly brought the tea, gave me a larger size, an extra tea bag and a gift certificate. I know its just a small gesture, but it was the extra effort that mattered. Maybe it was just one particularly good Starbucks worker, but this location surprised me in a good way. read more

I don't know what they're doing to the coffee but I ordered a cold brew and a macchiato and it tasted terrible. My woman even had her drink remade and it still was bad. I placed an order online, so I drove there. When I got there like 15 mins later they still didn't have my coffee. They didn't even have the stuff to make a cold brew, the manager was no help at all and wanted to give me a cheaper coffee but still keep what they had charged me for the cold brew. After sitting in this Starbucks today for over 2 hours having a business meeting and enjoying coffee my wife asked to use the restroom. Prior to her asking I also asked and was allowed. There was a code needed to use the restroom so you had to ask. The sign read for customers only which was something I hadn't seen in Starbucks before but I understood. My wife asked to use the restroom later in the meeting and was told by one employee and then the manager twice that the restroom was for paying customers. She told both manager and employee she was and pointed to where we were sitting. She was still denied. She came back in a huff and we ended out meeting. When outside she told me about what happened. I went in to resolve the issue and got an apology. To me what happened, how it happened and the people involved makes it almost discrimination. Now it's time to talk to an attorney to relay these actions and see the next step. Never will I suggest a Starbucks for business meetings again. I hold business meetings all the time st Starbucks and have always been happy. Not today and never again. Don't let them discriminate against you either. Don't know if it's because of race or sex or not seeing a Starbucks cup in hand? Either way this is no way for a business to be run. read more

As some who drinks their drip-coffee everyday I can tell you the batch was weak/bad. Usually what happens is that instead of waiting for the water to finish dripping, an impatient employee will pour a cup to soon (off the bottom), giving that customer a ridiculously strong cup of coffee, ruining the rest of the coffee urn as too weak... Then, it took 20 minutes to get the condiment bar refilled with regular sugar, even though I'd asked for more sugar immediately from one of seven people on staff ‍! Overall, not a great location. I risked my life to duck in here and grab a double espresso. I was being trailed by a Skullet with a staring problem. He was ready to add me to his collection of wives and I was speeding down Shaw Avenue, trying to protect my virtue. But then I saw it... In the distance... Another Starbucks. Clovis & Fresno are littered with them, so I shouldn't have been surprised. But after throwing away my disappointing drink in the garbage can at another Starbucks 10 minutes earlier, I was craving caffeine like the Skulletman craved crystal meth. I checked in the rearview mirror and didn't see my follower's Monster Truck with the confederate flag on the antenna, so I thought it was safe to stop. Double espresso. Nice enough staff. Safe. The barista who's making the lattes today is giving out foam. I had to go back twice because all I received was a cup of foam. My friend who was with me ordered the same item but a different barista made his, the literal weight of the cups were completely different mine was extremely light because all it was was foam and his was a normal latte. My coffee that I asked for was served cold and I asked for "Low Sugar" not "No Sugar."

Drinks at Starbucks, not just this one, is always about sugar and flavors, no character in its drinks, the latte is always improperly frothed (steamed too hot), and same coffee is recycled multiple times, which is horrible. Convenience is the reason they are still in business, and of course the great marketing which people are easily taken by. If you don't see latte art in a latte, that is not cafe latte, because the baristas are not baristas at all, they are just a fast food workers clocking on hours. Third times a charm..... I have swung into this location 3 times ok my way to work, each time ordering the exact same drink. The drink I order from all starbucks is always the same, light ice,light cream, sweetened. Firstly, it's always a different color, sometimes it's hard to tell if there's actually any coffee in it. Secondly, all 3 times it's unsweetened, are they out of sweetener? Is the pump broken on the bottle? Does it take too long to add it? I'm only reviewing this time because when my order was taken (drive thru) they read back my order without the sweetened, so I spoke up, very clearly asked if the order taker got that it was sweetened, he said "oh yes" in a happy voice. The 3 stars is only because they were speedy, but come on, I'm not ordering anything beyond iced coffee here, seems simple enough. I work in customer service, and I will say their customer service is good.....but you have one job in the customers eyes, get the drinks right. read more
