As a catholic, I am always surprised to hear that waiters hate the after church Sunday crowd. They are known to be rude and poor tippers. I never believed it. Sitting on the starbucks patio today around 6:00 a couple next to you spent the entire time discussing Bible passages. Update time: I've since moved closer to this location and while the parking situation is still rough, this is a go-to store for sure. Their order aheads are always ready super fast and I appreciate that they keep a shelf of to-go bags prepped right by the counter so you can grab one if you need. The 2 cup drink carriers in the bags are brilliant and super helpful when im picking up for myself and someone else :) Drink and food orders always come out just right and they seem to get good inventory, things don't sell out too frequently despite being a busy spot. While a narrow set up inside, there are plenty of tables indoors and also out on their cute patio area. A less important note, unless you have a cup collection problem like myself, but they also tend to have a good variety of new/seasonal reusable tumblers, mugs, etc. to choose from as well :) read more

I ordered a grande caramel Frappuccino with extra whip cream and extra caramel. The beverage was quickly prepared, the service was warm, the interior was clean, there was copious seating, and there was a fun board with pictures of dogs. How fun! Baristas are so nice especially the ones who work right at 5 am. So chipper and welcoming and they always accommodate me for my go to drink of either venti chocolate cream cold brew or flat white with no ice, with chocolate crumble cookie on top plus a pup cup of whip cream! That early in the morning I can't stomach the thought of drinking anything too cold. It's my go to before my 5:30 Pilates class. After one or two classes I come come back with half of my drink for the ice. It's so good and carrie's me thru the rest of my day!! Great location in downtown Crown right across from Harris Teeter. Clean facility with friendly employees and quick service. I ordered 2 grande coffees including the new apple crisp macchiato which was delicious. Just a little disappointed that the cups were only about 3/4 full. Short and sweet review. I don't have any complaints about this SB. Usually I place my order through the App and my order is ready at the promised time. It's a very clean Starbucks no later when I go. I don't like the cake pops, the center is very mushy and not cakes. As a very loyal customer to Starbucks, I've been to many Starbucks around the DMV area, and I have to say, this is probably my favorite location. The location is very prime, as it is in the middle of Crowne Plaza and right off 270, so this tends to be a popular location. Especially with the COVID restrictions and all that, the baristas do a great job following safety protocol as well. Probably the best 2 aspects of this location are the plentiful amount of outdoor seating and the customer service. The baristas are very friendly and they are very consistent on how well they made the drinks. In terms of seating, there is plentiful outdoor seating for those days that aren't too cold or rainy. Pre-COVID, there is a lot of indoor seating, but at the time of writing, they only have 2 tables inside available, so it could be hard to sit inside nowadays. Definitely my favorite location, as it is one of the nicer looking Starbucks as well, so I really recommend this spot over other locations! read more

Stopped by the area recently and truly enjoyed my experience in Downtown Crown. This Starbucks is beautiful and still operating with social distancing enforced. Had to come back in here to take away another star. This location appears to be problematic, even when told in detailed how you want your drink made. Long story short, they gave me three drinks (supposed to be grande's) that stopped halfway at the cup, and when I called to talk to the manager he was cool over the phone until we met in person. He had the nerve to ask me again what was the problem with the drinks in a rude, condescending tone and in front of customers to show some sort of dominance--though he asked me to come back in the store to make it right. Well this wasn't right. The attitude. The drinks not filled half way all wasn't right. Next time I'll call corporate and not deal directly with them. Covid update : After the experience I had last time, I never came back to this location until my go to location in Rio had closed. I love this Starbucks. Located in Downtown Crown, this location gets extremely busy but the service is good. I love how it's located across my gym (LA Fitness) for any last minute power boost! They have outdoor seating for warmer days. The inside seating gets packed but I've never had an issue finding a seat. The drinks are always prepared spot on and consistent. My gym friends spend most of their time teleworking here because of the convenience before a workout. Plenty of spaces to park! Great location overall. read more

I like this one and its location. It is smack dab in the middle of the busy new Crown plaza area. It has a Harris Teeter nearby and a bunch of restaurants nearby. It is definiitely busy here at times since it has a lot of seating for the people who want to study here or meet people. For the several times that I came here, it was actually busy finding seating is a challenge. I do not think they can really fix this as it is just the popularity of this place. Not like they can expand from what they are now. They do have this corner couch area, which is quite unique, but it's usualy taken and the tables are a bit wobbly. I remember spilling my drink here once because the table tipped while moving around. The bathroom was quite clean and the drinks came out quickly. It was cold outside so no one was sitting outside. No realy complaints otherwise except that a lot of people come here and it would be better to grab your drink to go. read more

Liba who is working here was each time when I had my service animal with me making it harder to sit inside or to order. She even told me how Starbucks (this particular store) had trouble with inspection because of my DOG. She asked me for paperwork last year as well for my dog. PAPERWORK! I stopped by this location yesterday (05/13/2023) with one of my daughters and ordered two mocha cookie crumble frappuccinos. The customer service was horrible! The girl who took my order was not friendly at all and did not bother to ask for my first name in order to label the cups. After I had finished ordering, my daughter and I went to wait in a corner. We must have been waiting for about 10 minutes and never heard anyone yelling out that our order was ready. I noticed that several people who came in after us, ordered / got their drinks and left. So I walked up to the barista and asked him if my order was done. He pointed at the two cups sitting on the counter and said that it had been done. Apparently, the two two cups had been sitting there for many minutes (we were waiting at the opposite corner so we did not see). I understand that the cups did not have my name on them, but at least the barista could have yelled out something like, "Who ordered two mocha cookie crumble frappuccinos? Your order is ready." Nope, that would be too much to ask, I guess. Both of my daughters later told me that half of their cups was filled with just whipped cream and that the frappuccino was terrible. The staff at this Starbucks is so incredibly kind. I come in here to work or study almost every day. This particular Starbucks just continues to improve with those that they have hired. I for the most part never go to another Starbucks. This evening about 10 minutes ago the most cruel and rude lady came in (around 25 years old) trying to return some coffee beans. The Manager told her that since she had no receipt that he could only do store credit. Which in my opinion, is more than fair. In addition, this location has never even sold the type of coffee that she brought in here. It almost seemed as if she found it somewhere or bought it from like Ross or whatever hoping to make cash off of it. She argued with the store manager for a solid 15-20 minutes. Mark (the manager) kept a very calm and collective tone of voice and was very professional. I was about ready to jump out of my seat to yell at this lady. Shout out to my man Mark. I went to what Starbucks billed as the "World's Largest Coffee Date". Stag of course. For $5, I ordered a Caffe Verona coffee press with extra hot cream and a double chocolate chunk brownie. The coffee was brewed using their new Clover brewing system. Mina, the barista, said it was a high tech French press machine. WOW this is an amazing cup of coffee!
