    Snickerdoodle Latte
    Becca S.

The specialty lattes were GREAT! The espresso was balanced and smooth. The baristas were also well versed and assisted in guiding us to the right flavors for our taste buds. I got the snickerdoodle with skim milk. I expected super sweet with the vanilla, but it was more cinnamon forward and not what I expected but good. My husband got the sugar daddy which is a pretty standard specialty drink at various places, but this was the best he said he's ever had of that kind of flavor. In addition to the coffee, the baked goods were great! I asked the barista and he said the pastries came from a local bakery down the road, the macarons came from NYC. The macarons were probably the best I've ever had outside of France. We had to get some to go and the box says from macaron cafe.

I'm not from the area, but I usually stop by here in the afternoon for a latte and a snack to avoid 495 traffic for an evening meeting in Rockville. The back corner, along with the comfy couches, gives me a homey feel. With my noise-canceling headphones on, I can get into the zone and get some work done. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The decorations are a mixture of different styles put together, but it's comfy, so I like it. I wish there were more selections of snacks and pastries to choose from. I have nothing to complain about the coffee's taste. It's spot on. I notice everyone was given paper cups even for sitting in. Maybe they ran out of actual cups or need to wash them. You'll have to parallel park if you managed to get a good spot. Otherwise, you'll be parking far to walk here. I think the parking lot nearby allows 2 hours max. I haven't been hungry enough to go for the breakfast burritos, so I cannot comment on that yet. I will update my review as I come back more.

Coffee Republic is always one of my faves. They have standard coffee fare but also a seasonal menu. The baristas are always helpful, and they make cute designs in the foam-- so order to drink there. Wifi is strong. Sometimes it can be busy, so if you have a large group, be sure to send a scout first. Parking is easy. There's a larger parking lot behind the building if the street parking isn't available.

Saturday 1/11/2025 I've had this spot on my list for a minute, and luckily I was in the area so I finally made my visit.. I got the French toast muffin $5.50, ham & cheese croissant $6.25, cinnamon roll $5.95, and the red velvet cream cheese muffin $5.50. - The French toast muffin was okay but it didn't have that French toast flavor I was expecting. It just tasted like a basic cinnamon sugar muffin. - The ham & cheese croissant was disappointing as it was average. - The cinnamon roll was my favorite item. It had a unique dough/bread that comes from the croissant texture. - I'm not crazy about red velvet, but the red velvet muffin was pretty decent. - Also, my mom had the sugar mama coffee and thought it was WACK. Overall, this place is OVERRATED & OVERPRICED, and the main thing holding this spot back from getting below a 3 star is due to the cinnamon roll (I'd come back for that cinnamon roll). Tip: once you make a purchase, you instantly get access to a 20% off coupon for your next purchase.

I really can't believe I haven't reviewed coffee republic after all the years I've spent here! Food is decent but I truly come for the drinks! They have seasonal flavors (which I'm stoked for all the autumn beverages) but I like their matcha and chai the most. Service is above average but leaves room for improvement. Orders are taken fairly quickly but because there's so many customers, your drink is often taken by another customer by mistake. That's what happened to me at least for a few times. It's a cozy atmosphere with people primarily working on their laptops or studying. It's a bit hard to find seating because of how crowded it is though.

Found this place during work trip to Rockville, MD. Lovely place with delicious iced vanilla latte. I brought back their beans to CA. I can't wait to try them!

Cute coffee shop with a wide selection of signature lattes. I ordered the sugar mamma which was white chocolate and Irish cream. It was very tasty and unsurprisingly very sweet! Also ordered a coffee cake which they warmed for us and was pretty tasty. A nice amount of seating inside as well as outside and it's right but a small park as well.

Coffee Republic is a cute coffee shop that I would recommend! A friend and I came in mid-afternoon on a Saturday and it was busy with a line linking around the inside of the shop. Many folks weren't sitting inside though, rather taking their goodies to go. They were understaffed, but I thought the wait time was pretty reasonable- they were very efficient in taking orders and getting the orders out pretty quickly. There are plenty of tables and a cozy area in the back so people could come in to enjoy their coffee with a book or to do some work. The atmosphere is moderately noisy like any other coffee shop. I had a hot sugar mama latte (white chocolate & Irish cream) which I believe was a special for St Patty's weekend. I enjoyed the drink! I didn't need to add any additional sugar or cream- it was made well. I also ordered a veggie quiche because I wanted something small to eat but they ran out of a lot of baked goods earlier in the day (which I can understand because everything looked so good!). The quiche was alright and could've used more cheese; they warmed it so the interior was steaming hot. Though understaffed and probably feeling overwhelmed, the staff were friendly and efficient. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cute little coffee shop.

I absolutely love this coffeeshop. They have tons of flavors and seasonal lattes. There's a good amount of seating and they are laptop friendly.

Very eclectic and cozy ambience that this coffee shop radiates. Their menu selection is quite wide ranging with various specialty craft signature lattes, so lots of options to choose from. Baristas are very friendly! Snickerdoodle latte was very smooth, espresso to milk ratio was well balanced, the vanilla and cinnamon syrup flavors complimented the espresso and milk ratio very well. The End of the Rainbow latte is a seasonal drink -- pistachio white mocha topped with green mint cold foam, and this was a very smooth drink as well. Personally not usually a mint fan, but the flavor was very subtle and complimented the pistachio white mocha very well. Maybe would add an extra shot of espresso next time for a bolder flavor!

Cafe latte and a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich.

I found this place today and I'm really glad I did! The shop is conveniently located and has plenty of parking available. The cafe is very cozy and inclusive, which is very important to me. They have a lot of small tables that are perfect for enjoying your coffee while doing some work or journaling. One side has large windows with plenty of natural light while the other is more cozy and less bright. The staff is friendly and the coffee is excellent! This is now on my regular list of places to go.

I just visited Coffee Republic this morning and would love to come back to try more of their fun seasonal drinks. Coffee Republic at 8am had a line almost out the door. They are certainly a well loved coffee spot. They offer standard coffee drinks in addition to seasonal options. Additionally they offer non-dairy milk but it does cost $1.20 extra. It would be great if that cost could be reduced so vegans do not have to break the bank for a nice latte. The employee that helped me was extremely patient and kind as I asked what all I could order that was vegan. He knew that the white mocha beverages had dairy so I ordered the Fall in a Cup seasonal drink with macadamia milk. He also knew that the only baked item that was vegan is the Morning Glory muffin so I enjoyed that. They even warmed it up for me so it tasted very fresh. The coffee was truly a delicious fall experience. It has plenty of cinnamon and maple flavor to make you start craving a Thanksgiving meal. The muffin was so soft and delicious! There were pieces of carrot, coconut, and raisins evenly distributed and it was a satisfying breakfast to start my Friday. Additionally, while the line was long the stuff was pumping out orders fast! I was really impressed with how efficient the workers were. This business is definitely a good spot to visit before work or even to camp out at with a laptop. I noticed a lot of outlets available and some people already starting their remote work day.

I feel as if they tend to miss the mark due to the high prices (they upcharge for everything). However, when you find the RIGHT drink, it makes the cost eyeroll disappear. Insert: Iced Lavendar Honey Coffee with Ube. SO good. You will not be disappointed. Tips: Protected free WIFI with plenty of workspace. You can no longer use the backdoor as an entry/exit -- front door only. Outdoor seating (pet friendly outside).

La Poteria was the perfect midpoint to grab our morning caffeine fix and a bite to eat before we hit the Harpers Ferry hiking trails. The cafe was beautifully decorated with marble tables, a ton of plants, and plenty of couches and cozy armchairs. There was a ton of natural light from the giant windows, but they also had a number of aesthetic hanging lights, some of which were exposed bulbs and others of which were in little wicker baskets. As far as the food and drink goes, I loved their latte. The coffee was rich and not overly acidic, and it was strong enough that you could still appreciate the chocolatey, nutty undertones under the generous helping of steamed milk and foam. I also loved the little heart sprinkle they added in the center of the mug -- such a cute final touch! My friend and I also split two of their savory items, the cheese arepa and spinach and feta empanada. The empanada was a little different than what I was used to, as it was super flaky and buttery, with an almost croissant or puff pastry-like dough. It was delicious and the savory feta went wonderfully with the spinach and the slightly peppery mayo-based sauce they served it with. The arepa was also lovely, with a generous helping of gooey melted cheese on top of the slightly chewy, slightly sweet corn-based flatbread.
