We happened upon Brennan's completely by accident after getting out of the car to check out a mural. We stopped in for coffee, started chatting with the owner, and she suggested that we go check out another mural nearby. So obviously we did. That mural led us to THREE more, and suddenly what had started as simply stopping to look at some art turned into this completely unplanned, ridiculously fun date exploring murals and places we never would have found otherwise. And the coffee was so good that what was supposed to be a random stop has now turned into us coming back every morning since. The drinks are fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the kind of local hospitality where someone takes the time to say, "Hey, if you liked that, you should go see this..." is exactly what makes discovering a small business so special. Brennan's didn't just become part of our date they helped create the date. Five stars for the coffee, the kindness, and for accidentally sending us on one of our favorite spontaneous adventures.

Because I was buying fudge I was able to skip the line and purchase over on the side counter, and the lady who helped me was super nice. Any flavor for five dollars. There were no other customers in the ice cream side, but in the marathon station there's a little store so of course my sister had to check that out because she's a shopaholic. The ice cream shop was quiet, but had a faint essence of rock music, which is appreciated. So we got the five scoops of ice cream and it was like getting a reward. There is almost more than I could handle, but she found out that she absolutely hates blue moon ice cream. So she actually got a fifth scoop well blue moon is my favorite, the main thing she doesn't like. Is that your lips, tongue and your teeth turn blue but it's already back to normal for me.
