The worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. 4:45pm on a Friday. "We're can't do Frappuccinos right now." "What? Really? Ok, I'll take an iced latte." "What kind of milk? We're out of oat and soy." "Regular." "How about 2%?" "Sure." Person behind me. "Can I get a cake pop?" "Out of cake pops." She leaves. Woman behind her "Do you have..." "No out of those." She leaves. Me "Were y'all just super busy this week?" "No. Sometimes the delivery truck just doesn't come for a month. We've been out of pretty much everything for over a week." "So you have to stand here telling everyone you're out of everything all day?" "Yes sir. It's been like this all week." Shame on management! How many customers did you lose here today alone? Get it together or close the store. read more

This is my closest Starbucks and I popped in here for a much needed an expresso double shot, it was one of those rare days!! This Starbucks is inside my local Target (Tar-zha) and is kinda your typical inside the store, non-standalone Starbucks. The baristas here are more laid back than the typical store which tends to tick off some of the out-of-towners who are accustomed to the 3-5 minute coffee blitz but hey we're on island time here, relax. To be fair I've been a little edgy before at a Dunkin outside of New England, specifically in TN, where the baristas tend to crawl and what's with the chit-chat people? But I digress ..... I'm not a big fan of Starbucks coffee, never have been, never will but if you're one of the loyal drinkers then this is your place in Gulf Shores. Bottom line: There's no drive-thru but on the up side the staff are so friendly and helpful which is more than I normally expect at the average Starbucks. read more

It's Starbucks, it's in a Target. That's about all you should need to know. But in case you're curious I'll elaborate a little. I visited during the Covid-19 pandemic so sitting down wasn't an option but it appears that normally they have plenty of seating. You can't use your mobile app to order and there isn't a drive-through so be prepared to wait in line. They got my order correct so I don't have anything to complain about. Walked up at 8:02 to order, they told me they couldn't make my drink bc they close at 9 & wouldn't have enough time to clean up by then.

Terrible customer service, looked at the line of people waiting to order and ignored us. People left the line and one worker told the other to take orders. The cashier may have been new but was not welcoming, short in replies, snappy "we're out of that", absent minded and forgot something in my drink so I politely asked for her to add it. Did not offer a Starbucks app coupon "we don't offer that here". Also told me to have a nice day sarcastically. Do not recommend. read more

Missing the coffee... I ordered a venti peppermint white mocha. I received steamed peppermint milk. The baristas were even debating how many shots were supposed to go in the drink and the difference between the hot and cold versions of this beverage. Im being generous with two stars because normally this location is great and fast serving especially being inside a target. Terrible service. While visiting Starbucks inside of Target located at 3820 Gulf Shores Pkwy, Gulf Shores, AL 36542 we received TERRIBLE service. First the employee BEATE was rude to my granddaughters, then to my (adult) daughter and then to me! Beate had an attitude towards my granddaughters and then when we asked for chocolate chip cookies she seemed to get even more perturbed like we were interrupting her or something, she then searched around and pulled out two iced cookies, when the girls said they didn't want those & instead asked for two cake pops instead of politely handing the cake pops to the girls she tossed them on the counter. I then stepped up to pay, she did NOT ask me if I wanted anything and did NOT ask me if I would like a receipt. When I went back a little while later to ask for a receipt she stated that she couldn't give me one. (I had JUST heard her ask the young man who had just ordered if he would like a receipt) I stated to her that she needed to work on her customer service skills and I turned to walk away at that time a blonde girl who was also working behind the counter leaned over to Beate and whispered in her ear something and they both began to laugh like snotty little teenagers, which I don't believe BEATE is, so she should know better. DO BETTER Starbucks. Either train your employees better or weed out those that have NO BUSINESS in customer service positions. read more

Waited 15 minutes standing in line, for them to tell me right before I got to order they wouldn't be taking orders for the next 45 minutes. It would've been amazing to know right when I got in line that. Will be saving my time an just driving to foley for now on. Do better. read more

Cashier seemed like it was her first day on the job. Making the open employee confused on the orders. I ordered the simplest thing. Black coffee with STEVIA. I got black coffee with some other nasty tasting sweetener. Several other people standing around waiting for their drinks but no one knows what drink was what. read more

We waited over 20 mins in line with only 4 people in front of us. When we got to the counter the associates had no sense of urgency with a line wrapped all the way back past the last checkout stand. Don't go to this location if you are in a hurry. read more

This is probably the best Starbucks I have ever been to! The food is fresh and drinks are absolutely perfect. I don't order the easiest drink to make because I have multiple changes I want done and they always get it done and smile. They even try to remember your name and EXACTLY how you like it.... if you're a Starbucks person THIS is the one to try in the area! read more

I have never had such a terrible experience at Starbucks. First, I wasn't greeted and second the attitude the cashier had was unbelievable! She talked with such a rude look on her face I couldn't believe she was being serious. As a Starbucks employee, I'm shocked by this behavior. Starbucks has modules to ensure the partners are giving a quality experience to the customers and let me tell you, the cashier definitely did not read those modules. She had a black septum, black hair, and was working at 1:15. Whoever she is she needs a talking to. I will not be going back to that Starbucks and her management needs to put that girl into place. Also, as I was leaving a customer who had just ordered also said the cashier was extremely rude so I feel sorry for anyone else that orders there. read more

Without a doubt the best Target Starbucks I've yet to visit. There's actually staff present at the counter at all times, and they're super friendly and efficient. This is the only Target Starbucks I've seen more than one employee behind the counter at one time, the three days I was there, there were at least three baristas: one person taking orders and then two people preparing drinks/expediting. They still have a somewhat limited menu and you can't reedeem Starbucks rewards (standard with all Target locations), which is unfortunate because this is a pretty busy location - it seems to be the only Starbucks for a few miles. read more

I vacationed here on the beach. Stopped in the Starbucks here in Target and it was awful!!!! Worst service ever. Stood in line 45 mins in the morning of the music festival weekend. The manager saw the long line, walked over to the slow guy preparing the drinks and had a conversation with the guy and it slowed him down even more. I complained about the long line and the manager said "only 2 people can be back there and what do you want me to do?". I said for starters stop holding long conversations and try helping out. Inside Target. (I think the location is wrong?) They have always been busy every time I've gone in there, but they seem to work though the line pretty quickly. They make good drinks and they haven't messed up any of my orders. That makes it a win for me! read more

Went to this Starbucks twice while in Gulf Shores last week and were extremely pleased with the products and with the staffs. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the coffees we had were some of the best we have ever had at a Starbucks. The second time we were there, there was a young college student working all by herself. Even though there was a fairly large group of customers waiting, she handled them efficiently and was very friendly. She certainly deserved an A+ for her efforts. If we go back to Gulf Shores, we will certainly visit this particular Starbucks again! read more

This is my very first review after being on Yelp for two years... I felt compelled to post. First off this apparently is the only Starbucks in Gulf Shores so if you are hooked on their brew this is where you have to come. I was disturbed that while waiting in line I counted at least seven flies buzzing around the service counter. I'm not generally a clean freak but that just seemed a little nasty... The lone barista was working frantically to keep pace with the customers. He must have sensed my dissatisfaction because as I sat at the counter writing this he brought over a free coffee and simply said here Ya go sir... So I added one star for his efforts... This Starbucks was VERY understaffed. Stood in line for a moderately long time and one woman was left to man the register and prepare the drinks. When the woman in front of me ordered, two more staff members came out but one of them didn't even do anything. Several more staff members came out and stood around.
