There was a huge line, but it seemed to move quickly. I was able to get a lotus drink, which I loved. And my husband's sugar free coffee was good! They had so many pastries, that I couldn't eat, BUT they did have some gluten free protein bars/snacks, so I wasn't completely out. It's close to where we are staying, so it's both convenient and yummy! The only thing I should mention is that it is upstairs, so if f you have mobility issues, this place is not for you.

Great local coffee shop upstairs in Pier 33 convenience store. Long line/waits is the only downfall

My macchiato was amazing! And toffee nut was available! For it to be a Monday it was a little busy! Available upstairs it's a cute spot service was friendly and a lot more to offer in shop then just coffee. There were hot sandwiches donuts cakes and other sweets to get a long side your hot cup of coffee definitely a spot I'd return to when in town!

Cute interior but don't recommend the coffee from here at all. The latte did not taste like a latte, it tasted like drip coffee on ice with syrup. For the price of this, I expected way more. Pistachio muffin didn't even taste like pistachio just very sweet. If you're looking for coffee try one of the other coffee shops in the area

    Coco Cove must try this

Best Coffee I've ever had in my life definitely would come back again the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is just calm and quiet

S'mores specialty coffee - half sweet

If you like sweet coffee you found your place! If you do not love sweet coffee I would recommend asking how much sweetener is used and ask for modifications. I personally ordered the S'mores specialty coffee and ordered half sweet and was the perfect sweetness! I did have to be specific on my sweetness level was the only downside! They have plenty of "fun" coffee flavors and names with descriptions of each. The staff was very friendly and helpful to explain the flavor of the specialty coffees! It does get busy around 10 but they work quick!!

When I travel, I love finding a locally-owned coffee shop. West Beach Coffee House is located right in the heart of Gulf Shores, Alabama inside Pier 33 convenience store. The barista greeted me warmly when I arrived and was very helpful as I made my selection. This place is not fancy at all, but honestly, that's what made me love it even more. It's a charming little coffee shop that was cozy and inviting and served its purpose. I enjoyed freshly brewed coffee and a warm pastry. It was served fast and friendly. I'll definitely visit again!

Nice shop with a local touch! Better than a Starbucks. Pricey and the lines may get long if several customers pop in at the same time.

Lattes were inconsistent with one of ours being so sweet I couldn't drink it and another being very bitter. Quite expensive as well.

Latte was nothing but milk and syrup and my breakfast sandwich tasted as if it were from the freezer section. Better off at McDonald's.

Bright, airy, modern. The clientele is bougie enough that I felt a little out of place, lol, but I still enjoyed being there. I had a little bit of a hard time figuring out their menu. Signage is kind of limited and small, clustered on a counter which isn't easy to see if there's a line. I later found on their website that they have "local fave lattes," many of which sounded better than what I wound up ordering. I wish they'd been listed on a menu that I saw. At any rate, I decided on a shaken brown sugar latte. The employee who took my order was adequately if not effusively friendly. There were several young women working hard behind the counter to accommodate the large volume of orders. It took a bit for me to get my drink, but within a reasonable amount of time considering how busy they were. I thought the price was maybe a smidge high for the size of the drink, but what else is new these days? I got my drink and headed to my car. Overall, it was just okay. My first sip was a huge overly sweet mouthful of brown sugar; I don't think it was mixed super well. I moved my straw up and got a second mouthful of mostly milk. Then I used the straw to mix the drink myself and gave it a few gentle swishes with my hand. That helped some. This was a decent brown sugar espresso, but even after I mixed more thoroughly, it was still on the overly milky side for my preferences. Again, I wish I'd seen a different latte option to order. I think I might've liked a different flavor combination more. When I eventually return to the Gulf, I may give them another try and get something more up my alley. I enjoyed the modern, sunshiney, beachy vibes and would like to sit on the patio and enjoy a coffee when time permits.

The egg muffin contains cheese, onion and peppers. Make sure to ask for some jelly, it came in its own little plastic cup which makes me believe it is either homemade or local. The english muffin is toasted and has melted cheese, which they did a very great job at melting. You also have a choice of sausage, bacon or ham to add onto the sandwich. Last summer I tried it with bacon and this year with sausage. Last year I ordered one, finished it, then ordered a second one. I was either starving or this is a top 5 breakfast sandwich I have ever had. They also have homemade cakes, pies and cookies. I tried a homemade peanut butter cookie last summer which was very good. The bagels are also good. They come with cream cheese which is very good as well. It is a dairy we never heard of it however, some of the best cream cheese we have eaten. We tend to stay away from big name brands. Happy Pappy's also offers fun spins on drinks and coffee. We haven't strayed away from their hot latte yet however, the Marilyn Monroe and Tiramisu Latte sound really good and coffee's we will try in the future.
