Coffee wrong, workers screaming out passwords, absolute chaos. This is by far the most unprofessional Starbucks I've stepped foot in.

Coffee is fine. Staff are nice, hours decent, but the drive-thru is next level cringe. First, put the full menu up, maybe? They show some items but the bakery items are mostly missing? You ask for 4 different things = out of all. How would I know? This is not hard to fix. But the worst thing is when you get to the window to pay, and the staff hand you the card reader and verbally point out the tipping screen to you. What is happening? What am I tipping someone for at a drive thru? (Or even in the store getting a to-go order for that matter?) But at the drive thru it's super awkward. Please stop doing this. Some staff just take my card, thankfully. But most try to shame customers into tipping. Additionally, I miss the old days when actually hanging out inside the Starbucks was enjoyable. This location has awful, insanely loud music and there is a piercingly loud buzzing sound coming from one of half broken speakers (?) - that's been like that for over a year. The tables are dirty. It's just not a welcoming space anymore. They used to have cool, relaxing 'coffee house' music years ago. Last, when you do go inside to get a drink, they still take your name for the cup, but they don't call it out. When did that go away? If you order non-coffee beverages at this location, you will have a longer wait because this location prioritizes coffee orders over non-coffee orders. On 7/12/2024 I placed my order of two lemonade drinks in-store at the 1116 Main Street, Haverhill, MA location. There were folks behind me in line who got their coffee orders before me. When I went back to the register to inquire as to when I would get my drink, the blonde staff member was rude to me, yelling at me to wait my turn because there were a lot of orders. The weight at this location is absolutely ridiculous. And they really don't care. They spend more time fooling around with one another. They fill up the cups halfway when you get a hot chocolate. Was there today 2 girls looking at their nails gosipping on the headphones. I ordered 10 minutes before arrival. Poor Vance who I've never seen before must have hammered out 10 coffees while I stood there I asked the counter girl if she could get my coffee going! she said he has it and continued talking on the headphones to the other girl not doing anything at the empty drive throug. read more

Been waiting 15 minutes so far for them to make 2 pink drinks. 10 other people have been standing here waiting for their drinks and totally confused. They seem to be prioritizing drive thru and mobile while walk-ins get serviced whenever. Making it worse is an arrogant employee who when questioned about the delay was quite rude to another customer. Is this place still open? The last few times I've driven past it they have blocks in front of the drive thru. I will state that I love Starbucks and I have never had any issues with the food/beverages or the people working there but something is clearly wrong with the place because unless you go right when they open or alternately in the afternoon, it's a guaranteed 20+ minute wait at the drive thru. Even in the age of COVID, this place takes the cake for poor service. People here watched me stand around for almost fifteen minutes without getting my order done. I visit this Starbucks almost daily. They have 3-4 very friendly, attentive and efficient employees that are what you would expect when visiting a Starbucks. Outside of that, the service drops considerably. You can expect to wait at the drive thru anywhere from 10-20 minutes after 7am. The layout of the drive thru and parking area also does not help. I have been to many different Starbucks both in the area and outside New England, and this is by far consistently the slowest one. I'm not saying don't go here if you want a coffee, just don't expect it to be quick. Try ordering ahead for pickup if you're in a rush. read more

When you only have ONE Starbucks in town, not counting Target, I believe that complacency has set in. Waited HALF AN HOUR in my car for the FIRST TWO. VERY, VERY SPECIFIC on my order. I've really come to appreciate living down the road from this Starbucks as it is within walking distance from my house. The coffee is good and I've never had them mess up my order unlike other places. The baristas are also so friendly and polite as well. Today the machine wouldn't scan my barcode on the app and one of the baristas offered to pay for my coffee which was so nice, of course I declined because these baristas work hard for their money but the gesture was so kind and thoughtful. The only downside with this location is that this is the only Starbucks nearby so it is always packed and sometimes it takes longer than expected to get your coffee. With that being said the customer service from the baristas and the quality of the coffee make it worth it. read more

I woke up on a good note, about to go to Starbucks when I see this disgusting line ahead of me, coming out of STARBUCKS. Does parking not exist these days? Bullcrap. On a TUESDAY afternoon! What is this catastrophic line. The drink was good, but the line was absolutely disgusting. And the fact that I had to wait in that thing?! Horrible. It's not them, it's the parking. I don't find this place to be better than my prior review for many of the same reasons. I will say that Josh (red head with glasses) has been with this store a long time and he really does care about his customers. Not much of the same with the other employees from what I can tell. A few weeks back the most ridiculous thing happened and was witnessed by my daughter who brought it to my attention for follow-up. To start, the parking spots in front of this location must be narrower than is standard in lots so cars and very tight to each other. If you care about your car I would recommend you park in front of the dumpster or on the side of the building where there is much less traffic. My daughter was drinking her grande apple juice without ice and eating a chocolate chip cookie when she said "daddy that lady just hit our car!" I saw the door to the other car resting on our while the employee was squirting whipped cream in her friends cup which was being sipped from. We quickly pack up her homework and go outside to check my 2013 vehicle for a dent. A Starbucks employee in their apron and holding the stainless steel whipped cream dispenser was leaning on my passenger side of the car while talking to a lady in the car next to me. When I asked "did you hit my car she said, yeah but it didn't leave a mark" with an amazing attitude. She told the friend to move the car down to the other side of the lot while I went in to get a manager. I went over the incident with her and checked out the car to see if any visible damage was present. None was and she was ready to turn and go back inside. I asked what she was going to do about it and the reply was "I will talk to my employee." Good answer but I wanted to know why she was do holding whipped cream in the parking lot and she had no answers. I told her I wanted a few recovery coupons (allows you a free beverage of any size and configuration) and she went inside to get me two. I am not sure what happened with this employee but the bigger issue is the lack of respect for the customers possessions and for removing food products from the restaurant which I am sure violated health codes. Try another Starbucks if you can but if you go here and see Josh demand he make your drink and you stand a chance for a decent product. If you find this review pathetic as one user has then don't read my reviews. Yelp is about the total experience and Starbucks being a publicly traded company should have a better training and monitoring system in place for their employees. If the drinks were consistent, the employees were not leaving this store in suck flocks, if the drive-thru waits were not longer than most other Starbucks then so be it. Overpriced. i prefer this coffee over doofus dunkins, but it's like $10 if we both get a medium (insert fancy name for medium) sized coffee. I honestly only have ever tried 2 drink items: the caramel macchiato (delicious) and the peppermint white mocha coffee (delicious). The one time we decided to get breakfast sandwiches they were deplorable. I suggest sticking to the drinks. The temperature of the drinks is always perfect, but I have to wonder if that is partially because the lines (inside and out) are always wicked long and you have to wait til the fat lady sings to get your drink. Starbucks is a little too scenester/hipster/lahdeedah for me and doofus donut is too ghetto, so I have yet to find a place that suits me perfectly. Maybe Heav'nly. read more

I've visited this location several times. Pros: The baristas are courteous. They smile, and they answer all my questions as I'm still not used to ordering differences here verses other coffee shops. The coffee is excellent. I particularly like their dark roast. Cons: The drive thru is significantly slower than most Dunkin Donuts locations, and the coffee is slightly more expensive. Also, Starbucks doesn't offer an extra large option for hot drinks. I would like to see them have more brewed options available as well, although I understand it's harder for the smaller locations like this one to offer as much variety as, say, the large restaurant in Kittery. read more

This starbucks is one I frequent about once a week. The customer service is good and the staff is friendly, it's also very clean. I genuinely wish there was more seating as I feel like we are all pushed into one corner and sitting on top of each other, not to mention the furniture isnt too comfy for a lounging space to enjoy coffee and chat with friends. My order is usually accurate but hardly prompt, sometimes takes over 5 minutes for a generic coffee. I wish more people would be focused on making beverages because I always see one person struggling while others are stocking or continuously taking orders faster then they are being made. I really don't frequent Starbucks. I prefer to make my own coffee at home for many reasons. However, once a month I need to drive myself into Boston for what is always a long stressful day, so in this case, I like to treat myself with a latte for the ride down. Drive through or walk-in, the employees have been great, they remember me and spark up a nice little conversation. They're always out of food items. Every time I've gone here and ordered something to eat, I've been told they're out of it. Even when i order different things each time, I'm met with "I'm so sorry, we're don't have any left." I understand it happens sometimes, but it's seriously almost every single time i go. I come to this starbucks a lot because it is the only one nearby and I love their coffee. It's much bolder and has more caffeine then say Dunkin Donuts and doesn't taste water down. Staff are friendly too, however it sometimes takes forever just to get a simple iced coffee. On par with most Starbucks in the Greater Boston and North Shore areas. (Yes, I've been to that many). The only other one in the are is inside Target. Nice strategic location just off the highway exit (I-495). Except for too much traffic at times (not their fault of course), my only real complaint with Starbucks (most of them) is that their service could be more efficient. With a line nearly out the door, only one is taking orders at the counter and operating one of two registers, while others are stocking shelves, mopping the floor, out back, etc. I think this is an upper management policy weakness because it seems to be the case at several locations. I think they have been over-trained to nurture relationships with the customers at the expense of timely service. Frankly, I'm not ready for that kind of commitment. After waiting in a long queue, I'll accept some "professional detachment" if it saves time. read more

This location has by far the best service staff of any Starbucks I have been to, let alone any coffee shop in general. Such a friendly and accommodating staff here in Haverhill, along with great coffee. I shouldn't even bother comparing it to Dunkin Donuts, but with there being so many around it is hard to avoid. Time after time I have gotten horrible service at Dunkins, and my coffee tastes different 90% of the time. The staff is usually unfriendly and service in general and coffee is just inconsistent. I find myself going out of my way to get to Starbucks, and if I can make it, definitely the haverhill location. Best and most consistent coffee, and best staff. read more
