The worst service ever at this Starbucks location (Ewa end of the shopping center close the the US post office). I am a regular Starbucks customer and have never experienced such poor service and attitude from employees at this business location every time I order anything from here. They're always more involved in gossiping amongst each other over providing excellent customer service. Don't recommend patronizing this particular location. read more

This Starbucks is in the middle of no where (in terms of shopping at Ala Moana), which is a good thing! Every time I'm here, there's no line and there's usually a table to sit at. Sadly, the past two times I've been here weren't super top notch: 1st: on my way out the door from the office, I made an online order. 10-15 minutes later, I drop off some packages at the PO and arrive at Starbucks. Drinks are not ready and worker said he never got the online order (as I stood in line with 2 other online orderers). He goes to the computer and out comes a couple of orders. Proceeded in waiting another 10 minutes for drinks to be made. Very counterproductive and against the whole point of online ordering. He seemed new and frazzled, but very nice. No hard feelings. 2nd: I am 1 of 2 people in line. Ordered my drinks and waited about 15 minutes for workers to make my drinks (just 2, not difficult drinks). Not in a rush, but still. I taste my drink when I get to the car, and it tastes like blended ice water. I was excited to drink my peppermint holiday drink, but I was very disappointed. This is not the first time my drinks come out "eh". If you are in a rush, I'd opt for another Starbucks. Btw, the location: Ground floor near the Post Office, around the corner from Shirokiya, or across the parking lot from Ground Florr Nordstrom. I would choose Coffee Bean over Starbucks any day but on the seldom occasion I need coffee while I'm at work, this Starbucks is just a hop, skip & a jump from my job so why not? I like that they are located on street level & I don't have to walk into the mall to get here. The staff here are nice & drinks are made fairly quickly. Taste seems to be hit or miss. At my most recent visit, everything tasted great. Their shelves & refrigerated cases are clean & well-stocked & the store itself is new & clean. Otherwise, a Starbucks is a Starbucks. read more

I always get my favorite recipe of Iced Coffee with white chocolate mocha shots and sweet vanilla foam on the top. i did a mobile pickup order so that it would be easier to order. when i picked up my drink i noticed that they didn't add the sweet vanilla foam on the top. i pointed it out to one of the workers and they remade my drink. but the second time i received my drink they didn't add the white chocolate mocha shots in my drink. i don't recommend this starbucks and prefer to go to the keeaumoku one (by walmart) instead. read more

Horrible service here! Me and my mom went to Starbucks kiosk here at ala moana. We went up to the cashier & she didn't even greet us, she looked down at her paper she was writing on! She then looked up and said what can I get for you? I ordered my drink (venti), then my moms (trenta). We waited for our drinks. The barista that handed us our drink handed us two ventis. I let her know politely that we had a trenta and a venti, she gave me attitude about it and looked over to the cashier and said out loud "did they order a trenta?!" The cashier said yes sorry that's my fault. The barista then was more upset because she had to make a new drink. Instead of making a whole new drink, she jus added water and little bit of tea and syrup. We got our two drinks, tasted it and it tasted horrible!!! However didn't tell them it was horrible because of the service we already had, I then contacted a manager there. We go to ala moana every weekend and always come to this kiosk for a drink while shopping. (Even though the line is REALLY LONG and takes forever) This experience was horrible and we won't be returning there any more! Well walk a few stores down to the Macy's Starbucks. Buyers Beware.. I ordered a regular tall coffee, Pike I think. With soy milk. The cashier asked if I would like to "get that From the Clover Machine" And went onto say it was new and how it tasted better. I asked if it costs more and she said "No" so I said sure. Then she rings me up for $4. When I asked why, she said oh sorry and she rang me up 3.50.. Still confused I went back to look at the menu board and a coffee of the day is 2.25! An extra 60c for soy. I went up to another cashier and complained. She apologized, refunded my money and gave me the coffee for free, which is why 2 stars instead of one. This locations is one of Starbucks located at Ala Moana Center. And probably most convenient of all as it is right in the middle of the mall on the second floor. However, the line is usually long and there are not enough seating. The workers are friendly and there is a menu in Japanese as well. However I think I would go to Honolulu coffee on the third floor from now on, as there are more seating upstairs. read more

I work very close to both Starbucks and Coffee Bean in Ala Moana and even though Coffee Bean is essentially closer than Starbucks, I'd pick Starbucks over Coffee Bean any day. I must admit that Starbucks is very consistent with my drink order and its usually ready in less than 4 minutes. Another plus is that whenever I ask for a water...they never forget to make it for me :) They always have a line of 3+ people in the morning but the workers are very efficient and have a good system going. On days I go without Starbucks I feel like a zombie. My drink of choice is a Grande Hot Caramel Macchiato Stirred. Soooo goood! read more

Mickey and Shawn are the best baristas, I've encountered at this new location! Multiple times I've frequent here they have gone above and beyond to deliver the best experience. They do not miss an opportunity to address me by name, and will always tell me about something good and new in store. This new location is located on level 1 a little past the post office on the way to the old Sears. Inside is very clean and spacious. One piece of feedback would be: to put a code on the bathroom at this location, so it's not open to just any random person off the streets. With Ala Moana's new Ewa wing expansion, parking is usually difficult to find, but there are tons of parking right outside this new Starbucks! Overall, the rest of the staff at this location is seems helpful, and attention to detail. Will continue to frequent! read more

Always busy and I'm pretty sure they charge more for the same drinks... This is my go-to Starbucks when at Ala Moana, and I just wish it was a bit better. FOOD & DRINKS: Sadly there isn't a ton of variety at this Starbucks. They are missing the bottled drinks and there are no snack boxes. I can understand, because it's right in the middle of the mall, but I do wish they had the same amount of food and drinks as other Starbucks. They made good coffee drinks, though. So, I cannot complain about that. SERVICE & SPACE This place is always slammed. I feel for the staff at this location. Usually the line is 10 people deep, but they always seem to be working really really hard and they remain very friendly at this busy location. PRICE: I am almost certain they charge more at this Starbucks than other ones. Probably because it is in the mall, but that still doesn't seem fair. I've been to Starbucks in Waikiki that are more lively than here. Granted, this location always has a steady stream on customers and I doubt there is any slow hours. Regardless, I expect the "Third Place" feeling (think of a place you are comfortable, like home and and work) I go to a Starbucks location.. Whether it be in Waikiki or across the world. I have to agree with most of the reviews on here... This location really isn't the best Starbucks out there. This is my experience from this Starbucks on a typical Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure what's going on with this Starbucks but they are truly missing something. of course it's a very busy store, the line was about 5-6 people deep. All the drinks I have ordered from here do not seem to have that "amazing" quality about them. This weekend I ordered three fraps (Carmel, Vanilla Bean and the NEW Red Velvet), all of them were soupier than the iced coffees. I mean it doesn't take a rocker scientist or that keen of an eye to see the fraps were slushing around in the cup to figure out that they aren't quite thick (or frozen) enough. I wasn't to only one waiting their with the same issue. Just seems like they were making and trying to deliver them as quick as possible with out doing any sort of quality control. Note to store: We expect long lines and have an expectation of a wait but also expect that we will have a delicious drink with that long wait. Pros: It's Starbucks and convenient when shopping. Cons: Always busy, staff seemed very rushed and the drinks just didn't have the taste that I expect from a Starbucks, regardless if its busy or not! read more

Ok let's be real. This location isn't the best Starbucks, but what mall kiosk location is, right? This Starbucks is conveniently located right in the middle of the second floor of Ala Moana Center and it's no surprise that you might be waiting in a long line. I've been here a few times and I have yet to be served the best made raspberry caramel machiatto (so good! you should try it!). It's either too sweet, too watery, or just straight up sloppy. Based on my experience, the baristas at this location are extremely nice and patient. They always have a smile on their face when they're either taking your order or serving you your drink. I am throughly irritated with this location of Starbucks Ala Moana near Spectrum! I ordered a grande decaf ice coffee with cream and sugar I wait 15 mins until I finally go up and ask about my drink it's a simple order nothing crazy. There are soo many ppl behind the counter I'm not understanding why isn't not done yet so I wait another 5 mins the woman finally gives me my drink and it's a hot beverage of some sort I said that's not my drink they start asking others what's this?! So I finally get my coffee I leave come back I said I asked for a decaf iced coffee cream sugar it's not actually decaf she never told me and hoped I probably didn't realize and that's not right ans I said this had no sugar in it she said there's a packet in it or sugar I said I wanted pumps not packet so instead of remaking it she puts 4 pumps of sugar in a little cup hands it to me says sorry walks away I have to make my own drink no genuine apology or let me give you a refund there is absolutely no customer service at all! Wile I was waiting they were messing other places orders up as well! On my way walking back from lunch with 15 mins to spare, I saw this place fairly empty. I asked for a croissant and a tall, wait actually GRANDE size ice macchiato. She nods her head and reads it back to me. I get my order pretty quick! But it's a TALL. I frown and mention I want the bigger size. He says nothing and checks the computer. Would give less if I could, ordered the new Horchata frapp and came without camel drizzle. When asked for it , I was rudely refused by the barista saying that the drink does not come with carmal drizzle while the picture shows different. Also during order, asked barista/cashier to use rewards for both drinks but only one were applied while the other one was charged. Both cups were not marked/wrote on nor were names asked during order. When ask for refill on the other drink (Peach Green tea lemonade) was again told that he can't do it because of the lemonade even when we said we are willing to pay for the $.80 lemonade difference for refill. The only reason I keep coming to this Starbucks is because I need to charge my car and this is the closest one. Every time I come here the experience has been below par. Even though I come in here twice a week, I still get asked the same questions with the very unwelcoming face and catty attitude. At first, I thought it was because it was five in the morning, but the only ones that get the happy morning greetings are the regulars (which is rightfully so for the customer, but not okay for the workers) or their friends. I had to ask for my receipt and ask for my water. She placed it on the table, but did not hear her tell me the water was ready. And when I asked her where the water was, she pointed at it and gave me a look like if I was too dumb to not see it. Good morning to you too. Eesh. At least, it's not the blonde lady asking me if my dog is a service dog, even though she asked me every day for a week a few weeks ago. She explained to me that she doesn't remember regulars that come in. Which is odd, because she seem to remember the regulars. Maybe I'm just not regular enough to get good customer service here. Also, this morning the places was filthy and looked like no one cleaned from last night and how do you NOT have breakfast tea at breakfast?! I like coming to this Starbucks instead of the others in Ala Moana because it's not as crowded! This one is located past the Post Office so it's a little hidden since not much people walk around there ~ I feel like their service is really good too while coming in it's like a nice welcoming. The first time I came, was when they just opened up for business and I believe the manager? was there and while I was waiting for my drink, he asked how my day is going and was picking up trash on the ground. Thumbs up for that since you don't see much of that customer service. The second time I came, the barista that took my order was so smiley and happy. When she spelled my name wrong, she put a smiley face to cover it up lol, how cute~ since there were not many people, my drink was made quickly and left the place within 5 minutes. Making your customer feel welcomed is an understatement at this location because they definitely make you feel at HOME. They were able to answer questions about any of the beverages that we had. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Their organization skills of the baristas and the ordering setup of the kiosk is RIDICULOUS. First I waited in a long line of about 12 people. There's only one register open, and two baristas working the bar but there's a total of 6 people working altogether. Since 3 people are standing around doing nothing you'd think they'd either open the other register or have someone get drink orders on the line. But no. Finally after a 10 min wait I get to the register and a girl asks for my drink order. I give it to her and she walks away. Then The guy on the register starts shouting at me for what I want. I repeat my order and he keeps saying "what? What?" Is he deaf? I'm speaking louder than normal as it is since the two baristas on the bar are shouting at each other. Finally he gets my order and I give him my gold card and he tells me I still owe a $1. Well no, he actually a snaps his fingers in my face like I'm a dog and tells me I owe a $1. Pissed. I hand over my debit card because I don't have cash and I get a big eye roll. Finally I start to walk away and he starts shouting at me that I didn't give him my drink order. Um, what? I just paid you for it. How did I not give it to you?? It's not my fault that you forgot to write it down. GRRR. Eventually I make my way to the hand off area and wait for my drink. At this point there is only one barista on the bar and there's three baristas just running back and forth in the back ground, it Doesn't look like they're helping anyone. God, I just want my drink so I can leave this place. The barista then informs and Australian woman and her kid that the c02 is out so she can't make the ginger ale they ordered. The Australian woman (clearly never having been to a Starbucks before) asks for a Coke instead. The barista says she doesn't have any. The woman asks for a Sprite. The baristas says she doesn't have any. This goes on for about three more rounds as the Australian woman names every soda out there. Why couldn't the barista just say WE DONT SELL NAME BRAND SODA, PICK SOMETHING ELSE. All the while she isn't making any of the drinks in the huge line of drinks now piled up. Ten mins later my chai is ready. All in all I was at this kiosk for 20 mins. That is ludicrous. They either need to re-train everyone at this location or shut it down for lack of working. I come to this Starbucks at least 2 sometimes 3 times a week because I work a few stores down, and I have never had a bad experience with these people! I always leave happy. There are some pretty harsh negative reviews about this location, about mistakes being made and bad customer service. This is a coffee shop that deals with a lot of people, everyone makes honest mistakes! And if they do make a mistake, they fix it for you and still smile and thank you for your order! Visited this Starbucks for the first time today while I was at the mall. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it was really hot--- I think the AC might have been broken/not working. I ordered a grande iced cafe latte for my husband and a grande strawberry black iced tea for myself. After getting our drinks we left to go to the post office and while my daughter and I were standing in line she drank my entire iced tea. So, since I'm a gold card member I went back to the Starbucks to get a free refill because I had been told at the Starbucks at the center of the mall that as long as I go back to the same Starbucks that I purchased the drink from I could get a free refill. Well, I'm not sure if their policy has changed in the last month but my daughter and I stood in line and when it was finally our turn the girl working the cashier said that the free refill is only good if we had stayed inside the Starbucks to drink our drinks. She said that once we leave the store when we come back we have to pay for any drinks we order. I looked it up on the Starbucks website and apparently that is their policy. Like I said before, I'm not sure if they recently changed their policy because it was only about a month ago that I was told I could get a free refill as long as I go back to the same location I purchased my drink from. To me, this "new" policy is a kinda dumb. I mean, are the workers actually watching to see who stays to drink their drink and who leaves? At the Starbucks at the center of the mall AND the by Macy's all the seating is outside so the workers can't even really see who is sitting there and who isn't. I plan on inquiring with Starbucks to clarify this but in the mean time I probably won't be coming back to this particular Starbucks location. read more

This kiosk here is always busy as usual..it is a very good place to get your coffee fix or get a refresher drink and believe me, it is a good way to keep your day going so that way you don't get too tired and sappy too. I was able to reload my card at this location so that i can still use the app to place my order for Tom morning as well as going to get my fix to get my day started and believe me when people do order from the app, it does save time and energy so that you do need to stand in line and wait for your order and it will help to get to work on time so that i don't have to be late. It is highly recommended that you can give this feature a try so that way it will really save a lot of headaches of waiting in line and all the people have to do is pick up the order and it's ready to go. This is a good way to also free drinks and get freebies too so take advantage of this app and you never know, you can earn freebies too for being a member and you can also get a gold card as well so you can get points just for ordering from the app or using the app to pay. I ordered my drink and I usually get a water with my order but I forgot to mention to the cashier (who wasn't very friendly and he was a very sassy boy) to add a water to my order. So, when I go to the other end to pick up my drinks I asked the gal who's name I didn't catch to please add a water to my order and she says I have to wait for her to finish all the other drinks which was about 7 drinks deep for me to get my water. I ended up waiting and got my water eventually but left with a melted frappuccino.
