So Starbucks just released their new 2024 summer drinks including macadamia nut syrup. I usually get an iced shaken espresso, so what I did was add the macadamia syrup instead of classic. It was terrible TT. BUT don't take this as a bad review, because I actually rate this location 5 stars for their service and the staff. They were so nice and accomodating. I told the staff that the drink was ..not the best.. and she offered to remake me the drink. I love their policy on remaking drinks. She even made me a whole new drink. I asked for the oatmilk matcha latte with lavender cold foam on top. She even let me substitute for almond milk and add extra lavender without additional charges! The matcha oatmilk latte with lavender cold foam is amazing. My all time favorite starbucks drink. The drink was also sooo pretty when she made it. Three of us were standing in line waiting to order while one of the female employees continued chatting with her coworkers as if we weren't directly in front of her. I politely asked for the restroom code & she rudely said "you need to place an order first or you can go to Sweet Green". I was shocked at this employee's unprofessionalism & downright rudeness. We placed our order with her male counterpart & he leaned towards me & told me the restroom code. The rude female employee isn't smart enough to know she would make better tips if she wasn't so unnecessarily rude to paying customers. Definitely not coming back to this location. read more

What are you going to say, it's Starbuck. This one is located in the hustle and bustle of rice village. I wouldn't stop here unless you're shopping in the area and already parked. There is a Starbucks just down the road on Kirby if you're driving in the area. A quick stop is going to cost you paid parking or you Just might be a smidge lucky to find free street parking. There is a free garage if you're going to be here a while you're going to have to walk a short ways. Free up to two hours. There were a few folks in line and my order didn't take too long to make at all. All seemed clean, all but the floor. I needed to redeem my birthday freebie and happened to be nearby at Van Leeuwen. Starbucks only lets you redeem the freebie on your actual birthday; they do not give you a few days or weeks to redeem it so it's use it or lose it. You can get any drink or food item for free and you have to mention it to the barista before you pay. When I told the barista I wanted to use my freebie, she asked if it was my birthday lol. Maybe she was new and didn't realize that you only have one day to redeem it. As much as I love coffee, I needed something to quench my thirst. I tried to order the Peach Green Tea Lemonade and was told that they were out. I noticed the current seasonal drink: Paradise Drink. It sounded like a pineapple version of the Pink Drink (which is one of my favorite non coffee drinks) so I ordered it. Guess what? They were out of that drink too! I stood there wondering what the heck to order. The barista suggested doing a Green Tea Lemonade with an added flavor like mango dragonfruit. I don't think I've had any drinks with mango dragonfruit so I figured I would try it. I ordered a trenta (30 oz. - only available for non coffee drinks) and a few minutes later, my drink was ready. It was really good! The color of the drink reminded me of the Passion Tea Lemonade, but it definitely doesn't taste the same. They put a lot of fruit in it too which got to be annoying as I got to the bottom of the cup because it kept getting stuck in the straw. A boba straw would have been really useful lol. I appreciate the barista making the suggestion though because I did enjoy the drink. This store is very large and spacious with plenty of tables inside and out. It's been open for a few years (the old location was on University and it was much smaller). There's metered parking right in front of the store, or you can park in the parking garage down the street. First two hours are free so if you're going to be there awhile and don't mind walking a short distance, that would be the way to go. read more

So, Starbucks is my regular go to spot if I want coffee. But, it can be a hit or miss for me when I do try out their coffee drinks. However, I do love using their app to gain rewards points for free items, like their yummy impossible breakfast sandwiches. I also wished they'd continue certain drinks that I loved, liked their iced caramel cloud macchiato (you are missed). I do like this particular Starbucks location because it's close to work, and they have outdoor seating for me to sit and enjoy my coffee drink with much less anxiety than sitting indoors. This Starbucks is in a shopping complex that has various other eateries, like Prego, Shake Shack, and Sweet Greens. So, you can drink and dine in one area. On this particular visit to Starbucks, my sis and I wanted iced coffee drinks to enjoy after a long week of work. My sister wanted to try the iced chocolate shaken espresso drink with almond milk. But, my experience with almond milk was not good, as it always seemed bland to me. The barista today recommended we switch out the almond milk for oat milk. I was skeptical, but she assured me it would be a creamy drink and that I wouldn't regret ordering it. Well, she was right. My mind was blown. It was a fantastic drink. Creamy, aromatic with espresso, and lovely chocolate notes. I will order this drink again. Please don't discontinue this drink. I didn't even know I wasn't drinking milk. Thank you to whoever invented oat milk. It's bomb! If you want a refreshing, but creamy coffee drink without dairy, but still tastes like dairy, get this drink! You will love it! PS - Interestingly enough, I looked back on my Starbucks app and saw that oat milk was not a milk option for the iced chocolate shaken espresso drink. This location does have oat milk, though. So, be sure to ask the Starbucks location you're at if they offer oat milk. If not, I always go back to my normal whole or 2% milk option. read more

Came here for the pineapple matcha drink, which was refreshingly sweet and lightly caffeinated! The venti has about 110mg of caffeine, which is not much compared to their coffees. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Def one of the more solid starbucks! Their restrooms would be upgraded though, as they weren't super clean and looked somewhat run down. read more

In terms of this specific location, it's a newer spot and you can tell. It's spacious and clean. Location is great because there is so much other stuff around it. Always super busy though with minimal chargers- it is a great work space when spots are available but I've found that to be hard (ESPECIALLY on weekends) so I haven't made it a go-to for that. For their food/coffee, I feel like I don't even need to rate Starbucks because everyone knows what to expect- I've found it to be the same everywhere. I'm a big fan so I'm always up for recommending it. In case you want recs anyway, I always recommend flat whites for my more straightforward coffee friends and cinnamon dulce lattes to my more sugary friends. Found out the Starbucks finally returned to Rice Village and Hubby was in the mood for some coffee and we checked it out since it was just down the street from where we were. It was on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Definitely larger and cleaner than the old location but it felt similar due to the amount of people in there. There's metered parking and free two hour parking in the parking garages. As soon as we walked in, we whipped our phones and did the mobile order. Hubby got his usual black coffee and I was pleasantly surprised because this was the first and only (thus far) location that has the Nitro Cold Brew with Sweet Cream! I ordered it. I can't say much about the employees but the lady in charge of my order asked me if I was the one who ordered the Nitro. I confirmed and it was on draft - right by the mobile pick up counter. There was a beautiful layer of foam and a special sippy lid that it came with. A grande went for about $5 so I guess that's why it came with the special items. First off: I'm not much into regular coffee. However, this is my new favorite coffee drink. It's chilled due to the nitrogen and it was incredibly smooth (no acidity whatsoever) with subtle minuscule bubbles throughout. It's better consumed within the first 30 minutes but still good an hour later - just lacks some of that special quality but still smooth as ever. I tried this location because my iced cloud macchiato was terrible at the NRG location. Well! It was not great here either and did not even look like the same drink. I finally realized that they're not putting the cloud mixture at the bottom and the fluffy signature foam is not right. So basically, no Starbucks in this area seem to have the ingredient but yet they're still selling the drink. What an honest way to deal with consumers during a f-ing pandemic! Amazing location! Staff and Baristas are very kind and helpful. I had accidentally ordered a tall caramel macchiato by mistake when i meant a venti. When I asked them for clarification of my order they proceeded to tell me that i did ask for a tall, in response they made me the venti that i originally meant to buy and gave the tall one on the house! The area is very spacious and is taking good precautions with spacing out tables due to covid. Restrooms and tables are usually clean with an occasional misplaced napkin :) They are amazing! A beautiful, new Starbucks that unfortunately does not quite meet the standard. We were here the first morning it opened, and the general attitude of management seem to be: if we open a cool looking store, people will flock to us. We have returned several more times, and each time have noticed a lack of attention to detail: unswept floors, uncleaned bathrooms, poor layout of tables, music that is quite loud. At our most recent visit, it was apparent that the store was not cleaned after the previous night's closing. This could become a very good Starbucks one day if management can stay on top of details throughout the day. read more

This is probably my third time at this particular location and I must say how pleased I was with the friendly and inviting staff. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and extremely friendly. What an awkward experience. Typically this location is super nice, super sweet, and super professional. I don't know who you guys recently hired but she was horrible. I ordered 4 coffees/teas and half of the order was made incorrectly. The cashier made me feel so uncomfortable to speak up about the mistake because she was so short and dismissive when taking the order. For every question I had, she just kept giving me more and more attitude. Like, it's not my fault that you hate your job, lady. So I sent a coworker, in my place, to correct the mistake. My coworker came back with a worse story. Apparently the same lady or cashier gave my coworker the hardest time. After trying to explain the situation to the cashier, my coworker just pretty much gave up trying to be nice and gave the lady the same attitude right back. Walking in, there is no way to know where the line starts and no one saying hello or even caring to let you know where the line starts. When you figure it out its after a person goes in front of you. I've tried this new location twice and have had bad experiences both times. The first time the line was so long and moving slow so I decided to sit a read a bit while the line got shorter......It never did and I never purchased a beverage. I visited today around 9:30 and there were only 2 people in line, 3 including me. 10 minutes later there were 3 people in line including me. The employee at the register was processing an order for over a dozen drinks. Though there were multiple employees, no one opened the second register to take care of the other two customers. They would look at us with concerned looks, but they didn't do anything. I guess the look was meant to reassure us they understood our plight. After another 5 minutes as the lone register operator struggled to get the order straight on the herd of cups she was dealing with I'd had enough and left. 2 visits.....0 drinks. Now I enjoy Starbuck's, but this location needs help!!!! read more
