The gentleman in the back was making fresh waffles to order. I tried the golden chai and the breakfast sandwich. The English muffin with bacon, egg, and cheese is homemade and absolutely delicious! The bread was so fresh and soft. I added avocado to mine, which was the perfect touch for me. The shop is located on the corner, and parking is very easy. Please take note that this quaint cafe is petite with three tables for three, one table for six, and a cozy corner for four. There is a mini library in case you'd like to sit and read. Take a look at Ms. Caroline's watercolor cards on your way out. She's a resident artist which a whimsical and chipper approach to sweet letters home.

This drink is definitely on the sweeter side though, so keep that in mind. - Nutty Almond Cream Cinnamon Herbal Tea (4/5): I was very happy with the flavor of this tea. Like the name suggest, it tasted very almond-y and had a good amount of cinnamon flavored. There was also a tangy fruity flavor that followed and reminded me of spiced cider. - Tiramisu (4.5/5): I was really impressed with their tiramisu. I ate in the shop so I got to enjoy the real ceramic mug, saucer, plate and metal flatware. Very nice touches to reward you for staying in the shop. The jazz music was a nice volume and pleasant. I understood they were having power issues and were operating on a generator. Their tablet system appeared to be working, as I could see my order while placing it. I was making a large order for my coworkers and needed an itemized receipt. When I asked for one, I was told they couldn't provide it due to the power outage. I then asked if they could pull up my order on the tablet so I could take a photo of it, and I was told "yes, one second." However, after my order was ready and I followed up, the staff member seemed irritated and repeated that they couldn't provide a receipt because of the power issue. I clarified that I only needed to take a picture of the order on the screen, which I thought we had already agreed on. I also didn't realize that every add-on they offer comes with an extra charge. For example, when asked what kind of milk I wanted, it wasn't mentioned that 2% milk (which is typically the default) had an upcharge. Additionally, when a soft top was offered for an iced drink, it wasn't disclosed that it was a $1.50 extra charge. This was frustrating, as these add-ons were suggested by staff without clarifying the additional cost. While the issue was eventually resolved, I left feeling unhappy with the overall experience. I did return once afterward, but between the inconsistent beverages and the lack of transparency around pricing, I don't think I'll be coming back.
