My drink was forgotten. Mistakes happen and I completely understand. What bothered me was the way the situation was handled. Instead of simply acknowledging that my drink had been missed, I was made to feel like somehow the mistake was my fault. I was then told the drink was being given to me "for free," when I had already paid for my order. I called afterward because I felt the way I was treated needed to be addressed. I was told they were sorry, and I appreciate the apology. But I'm still disappointed because I don't feel the situation was really made right. I'm sharing this because I genuinely like coming here and have been a regular customer. I hope someone in management sees this, because customers shouldn't be made to feel like they're the problem when the business makes a mistake. I would have much rather heard, "I'm so sorry, we missed your drink," than have the situation turned around on me. I'm not looking to be difficult. My search populated two options, Black Rock being the higher rated, so along with my pup, we made our way to Black Rock. From the exterior alone, I could tell that this was a newer location. The barista smiled and joked and asked us about our day. I was offered napkins with our pup cup, and by the end of the interaction, I truly felt I'd just visited a small mom n pop shop. As for the product, my pup called the Pup cup a win. My toffee delight coffee was sweet but satisfying, and although the strawberry green tea with freeze dried strawberries tasted artificial, I drank the entire thing, and would likely order it again. Happy to say I was not remotely disappointed in these delectable treats. While slightly more dense than my usual preference, the texture, size, flavor, etc. all hit the mark. Had I not known these were vegan in advance, I would not have guessed it. They have clearly perfected a beautiful, plant-based cinnamon roll. The service was friendly and prompt. As this was my first visit, I appreciated their patience with my questions and guidance. I finally chose the coffee cake cinnamon roll and maple pecan pie cinnamon roll. Unfortunately for my tastebuds and fortunately for my waistline, Cinnaholic is too far to visit frequently. But I'll be making my way back again pretty soon. So much so, there wasn't much cookie to taste. :-( I didn't get pic of it, but it was a lot. Oh and did I mention that you have to tip BEFORE the service? And... once the purchase with or without tip has been made, according to the staff member working, it can't be altered. I found that odd - leaving a poor impression overall. Not sure we will be back. The experience, the app, and the product left much to be desired IMO. Bummer - the cups were adorable!
