Coffee

A spacious and comfortable setting to casually hang out, this Starbucks reserve has a nice expanded menu with more interesting options available for the coffee lover. Prices aren't too different from a standard Starbucks location and the service is surprisingly fast compared to other Starbucks reserve locations that I've been to (it seems like many drinks are prepared ahead of time from mobile orders instead of sitting through long lines). Parking is not too difficult despite being located in a busy area near the train station.

Lovely place. Great drinks you won't find elsewhere. The MELROSE was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Still has the Reserve decor inside but is only serving from the regular Starbucks menu now

This location is no longer a Starbucks Reserve and only serves from the regular Starbucks menu. That being said the coffee is good and the service is great! The ambiance still maintains the Reserve vibe with cool decor and nice furnishing. It's also a lot less busy than most regular Starbucks I've been to.

What does it take to get a SBUX Reserve near me? Because I LOVE IT. It's like a mini-roastery with special drinks/beans. I loved it so much that I went two days in a row. I tried the rose honey latte (Reserve espresso and milk, combined with a "fragrant infusion of caramelized honey, rose water, and earthy cinnamon.") The fragrant infusion is beautiful - light, airy - but does NOT remind me of body lotion or a candle. The next day I just went with a clover brewed black coffee. The barista made some great bean suggestions. Love that this location carries Mercado (CHI/SEATAC exclusive with more "foodie" ingredients and any leftover food is donated as part of Starbucks FoodShare, a partnership with Feeding America) as well. 90/365

Love the Starbucks reserve here! Super nice and chill to study or just hangout. Coffees here are very unique and better than a regular Starbucks!

Subtle lemon with a hint of chocolate

Out on a drive with my hubby last night, it was super quiet in Lake Forest and the shops were closed. We passed by this Starbucks, and it was so beautifully lit up that we had to drive past again. I had no idea it was a Starbucks, and wow this swanky Starbucks Reserve Coffee Bar is stunning! I took some pics at night, and my hubby and I vowed to come back. And, that we did. On our visit, I ordered up a cold brew coffee...east timor...with a subtle lemon and hint of chocolate. My hubby ordered a banana and blueberry muffin. The muffin was completely different from the usual Starbucks muffin and it was so fresh and delicious. As far as the coffee goes, it was highly caffeinated and packed a punch. When I paid attention, I really could identify the lemon and chocolate in each sip. I'm not much of a coffee connoisseur, but I'm inspired to come back and try the next special coffee of the day. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting and friendly, and the Internet is strong. They also have a lovely little outdoor seating area and on colder days there is a fireplace indoors. Take note, it's pricey and special at this location and ideal for those who are passionate about trying all kinds of blends and coffee drinks. It's quite an experience, and I'm looking forward to settling in on a comfy leather chair to spend the day working.

This place never disappoints! This is about the nicest Starbucks I have ever been to, and I always love stopping in here for an afternoon snack.

A little over priced (like all Starbucks), but the staff is nice. The other customers can be a little high maintenance.

Beautiful Starbucks, it's warm and cozy. However, it has MINIMAL outlets. If you're planning to study or work, bring a fully charged laptop!

(It turns out, my friends went to the Winnetka location, so after texting back and forth, we realized the error so I left to go meet them and get a drink at the other location lol). I have had the coffee here as well previously, and it's always good, too. All the Tala locations are top notch. But I did appreciate that they didn't hassle me when I was awkwardly taking up space for almost a half hour haha.

The shop itself is adorable with tons of natural light, brick walls, some plants, the works. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The baked goods looked great but I didn't get any. Music is a bit loud but that's to be expected; I was still able to get some work done with headphones. The espresso itself was fantastic. Really smooth and flavorful. Plus they do it right and serve with sparkling water and a small nib of extra dark chocolate. If I lived in the are this would 100% be my go-to working cafe and I recommend stopping in if you get the chance.

I have been excited about the addition of Bean Bar to our neighborhood in downtown Northbrook for a…read morewhile.  We finally had a chance to visit together before we went to the Art in the Park the Saturday of the Mother's Day weekend!  It totally justified all the hype! Given it was a Saturday, there was an annual art fair in the Village Green close by, and the Mother's Day weekend, we expected it to be very busy, and it was justifiable so.  There was a rather long line placing orders at the cashier, but it moved quickly.  There were many laminated menus for us to read while waiting in line.  The cashier was friendly, patient, and helpful in answering questions.  Our daughter ordered an Avocado Toast and a Berry Zen Refresher.  My husband and I found that a good idea, and each of us also ordered an Avocado Toast, although I had hoped that I got different types of dishes to photograph, lol.  Husband had a Cappuccino, and I had a large Iced Pistachio Latte (oat milk).  This simple brunch came up to $77.34 with tip, and it's worth it. All 3 Avocado Toasts were perfectly made.  All the ingredients were very fresh, although there wasn't a lot of seasoning, the taste of each ingredient worked well together to achieve a delicious dish.  I especially liked the over easy egg and the crispy edges of the warm toast.  My Iced Pistachio Latte was very good without being too sweet. Although the food and drinks were the star, the ambiance was so pleasing and relaxed that totally elevated the entire experience.  The dining room with high ceiling and chandeliers was spacious and beautiful.  There were many different types of seating for patrons -- big comfy couches, regular tables, high-tops, small booths, conference rooms with long table and chairs, small private rooms... not to mention about the large sheltered patio with many tables and seats!  As I have mentioned, we went at a busy time, there were not a lot of tables left for dining purposes, we opted for a high-top.  Even though the venue was almost filled to capacity, it still felt very airy and comfortable.  I could just chill there happily for half a day with my latte! However, there were small hiccups that fortunately did not ruin our first experience there.  My husband's and daughter's drink came out almost instantly after we sat down, but I had to chase down a staff (there's no servers except for the staff who delivered the dishes or cleaned tables) to tell him that my drink was missing.  I told him that it's supposed to be cold but with no ice.  He immediately got me a Pistachio Latte but with ice.  The cashier lady had specified no ice on when she placed the order for me, I talked to her about this and she offered to make me a new one, but I had already had a sip and didn't want to put the drink to waste, so I just kept it.  I later scooped out all the ice so that it did not dilute my drink, and it was good.  I must mention that the food came out in just 5 minutes even though the place was busy. Our high-top table wobbled when we used our knives and forks to cut the toasts, not a very big deal, but the restaurant could easily have that fixed as I am pointing it out now, It's one of the high-tops under the BB sign. This brunch kicked off a very happy Mother's Day weekend.  I was in a very good mood going to the art fair from Bean Bar.  We will definitely return to try the many other items on their menu.

Thankfully, it was only 10 minutes away, so my mom and I hopped in the car to try it out. Drip and Culture is located in the back of Supermercado Gonzalez. It's not rare for Mexican grocery stores in the area to sell hot food in the back of the store, but it was very unique to find this super cute, black-owned coffee shop located right in the back. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Ube Matcha and my mom chose the Banana Rum Caramel Latte! Both drinks were a 10/10!!! My drink had an Ube horchata base, which tasted like the perfect mix of vanilla and cinnamon. It was absolutely amazing and paired perfectly with the matcha!!! My mom thoroughly enjoyed her latte as well! Next time I'm in town, Drip and Culture will be my first stop.
