But when I got there, the doors were locked, lights were on, keys in the door, and someone was clearly in the back. It's obvious they just closed early without any notice. If you're going to close up early, at least put up a sign or update your hours online -- super simple. Now I'm taking my business to Cafecito Lounge instead. This place is nestled between Papapavlos and First Toast and they all share the outdoor seating space. By 10am it started to fill up. My friend and I both wanted a latte as we saw some cute pics on Yelp of their coffee art. I would say that I was disappointed, however both girls told us they were practicing so I figured why not. We asked for cups but they gave it to us in a to go cup with a lid...no point in coffee art if it's going to be covered up lol. After I took off the lid I understood why LOL. At least she warned us and tried. The coffee itself was pretty good, nothing that stood out though. It's a cute shop, with a minimalist/nature feel inside...real cozy. The coffee was very good, not too sweet and the coffee was well balanced with the creaminess as well. Could be a bit bigger in portion with these prices but I think it's still worth it. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi. Between the great food, friendly service, and reliable consistency, Maison continues to be one of our favorite places to stop whenever we're spending the day in Lodi.
