I've had them plenty of times but the lady time I went I was very disappointed and frustrated. I had never in the past had such a bad experience. The barista took our order and then proceeded to take other orders and make theirs before mine. I waited almost AN HOUR for two coffee tasting flights that were absolutely horrible. She then disclosed that she was new and didn't know how to make them. I asked for a refund and left. But overall with the exception of that one terrible experience, it's a great place to sit and enjoy some coffee.

One of the baristas came out and told me that they ran out of banana, but I can sub it with something else. I decided on strawberry. I got my drink delivered to me outside and that was an extra service that I really liked. That was a delight and it made my day. The drink was good and it gave me the extra boost I needed for my busy day.

Very cool vibe and ambiance inside the shop as well as outside. Service is impressive, friendly patient barista. Did not feel rushed or pressured but was offered to take my time. The barista also let me know that if I want to make my own drink TK instead of ordering off the menu that was possible. As far as food, I didn't see any. Apparently at one time they had bakery items, maybe they were sold out by the time my friend and I arrived (9:30ish on a Friday)? I'm not sure but a bakery items, especially if homemade would have made this a five star review. I always try to support small business owners and local shops and this is no exception! But when I got there, the doors were locked, lights were on, keys in the door, and someone was clearly in the back. It's obvious they just closed early without any notice. If you're going to close up early, at least put up a sign or update your hours online -- super simple. Now I'm taking my business to Cafecito Lounge instead. This place is nestled between Papapavlos and First Toast and they all share the outdoor seating space. By 10am it started to fill up. My friend and I both wanted a latte as we saw some cute pics on Yelp of their coffee art. I would say that I was disappointed, however both girls told us they were practicing so I figured why not. We asked for cups but they gave it to us in a to go cup with a lid...no point in coffee art if it's going to be covered up lol. After I took off the lid I understood why LOL. At least she warned us and tried. The coffee itself was pretty good, nothing that stood out though. It's a cute shop, with a minimalist/nature feel inside...real cozy. Back to what I came for... the tasty vanilla cream was smooth and woven throughout the layers of this pastry. The strawberries on top were sweet along with that jam right on top of the soft, pillowy bun. The chocolate chip cookie was warm and buttery. I had a bite and a couple bites of the bun. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi. There's an array of awesome looking baked goods/pastries, including large loaves of round bread choices for sale. They have a number of other food choices too- sandwiches, salads, etc. Other products including cookbooks by Charlie Palmer are also sold. The room is large, comfortable and the ambiance is rustic country. I got two Butter Croissants and two Jalapeño Cheddar Scones for me and the husband. Both were excellent, delicious, and quite large. The jalapeño is strong so be certain you like it as it is my particular preference. The service was very helpful and efficient. This place is very professional in every regard and well worth a stop.
