I drove all the way from Compton to this Starbucks on my way to work wanting my favorite Honey Lemon Citrus Tea (Medicine Ball) since it was unavailable in Compton. To my surprise this location had run out of one of the tea blends that goes in the Medicine Ball, but... Employees are not knowledgeable when it comes to Starbucks drink ingredients. I ordered a Gingerbread cold foam cold brew and was informed it could not be made due to them being out of chocolate syrup. Chocolate syrup is not used for any gingerbread drinks. I told the male employee to disregard the drink and asked for an Apple Crisp Oat milk Macchiato instead. He gave me an iced coffee with a splash of oat milk mixed and a little apple drizzle on top. This is my new coffee spot! There are advantages of having a Starbucks in the grocery store. It never feels crowded and the tables are free. Folks just get what they want and leave and the tables are all yours! Great customer service and Michael is awesome! Once they moved him back to his normal spot, every time I come here it seems the folks behind the counter are not "morning people" Sure I'm NOT a morning person as I work nights, and I come here AFTER my shift at 8am, yet I have more energy, and personality than these folks. It's nice to grocery shop and sip my tea. I like to order a Vanilla soy Chai tea latte. It's never been consistent. Either it's too spicy or not enough spice. Every now and then it's perfect. This is the new Starbucks inside Ralphs on La Brea and Rodeo. Usually there is one person making drinks and ringing them up which makes it kind of slow but overall they're very attentive. Every time I've purchase coffee there is a line but the barista moves quicker than a regular Starbucks employee who has another person helping. Can't win them all. Try a pike roast with a pump (or two) of cinnamon syrup, tastes like fall season. read more

I like this location because there is always parking, it is usually not crowded, and if I need to I can pick up groceries at the same time I'm getting my caffeine fix. Because it is in the larger store, it feels spacious and I never feel crowded or claustrophobic. I've always dealt with employees who are quite amiable and pleasant. Of course it is Starbucks, so they have all the usual stuff. Bitter coffee and overly sweet pastries and all. Bring it on when you are in the mood for your daily dose of American rocket fuel. I love this location. It's always easy to pick up a drink before grocery shopping and the employees are always SO nice. Especially (I know I'm going to butcher this, I meant to go back and get a good look at her name but I only managed to steal a glance since I was in a rush) but I think her name is Syeeda? She's always very friendly, even when she's alone behind the register she seem to get stressed out. She lets me load my starbucks card so I get points and makes my drink exactly how I like it. She's lovely and one of the reasons I love this location. She's always willing to correct mistakes (not hers but coworkers have given my drinks away to other people on accident) and make sure that I leave happy. I appreciate her. This location needs to train its employees how to do customer service better. I went in this morning to order a drink and the young lady working around 8:30AM on New Years stopped in the middle of making my drink to speak at length with another employee. When she was done, she went to take the order of another customer who asked her to finish my order. She ignored that request, causing that customer to leave. She then took and made another order before finishing mine. She did not issue an apology and when I confirmed the order with her, she rudely said, "That's what you paid for." I walked a lot of coffee, but I say with confidence that Starbucks is, nevertheless, the best. In addition to delicious coffee I want to say about the atmosphere in this place. You come back and aroma of coffee beans, pastries and, most importantly, feel at home once you wrap. The range is very diverse in the cafe, cappuccino, latte, Americano, tea, smuzzi, frappuccino specialties, sandwiches, salads, pastries and cakes. This Starbucks was inside Ralph's, and as this was my first visit to Ralph's I was excited to see it there by the bakery/butcher area. The barista was super nice, and recommended I get a larger version of my drink because it is *really* good. I got the new Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato and he was right- it was really good, balanced flavors. I was happy he suggested a bigger drink. When he saw me eyeing the pastries, he asked if I had ever tried a S'mores bar (I hadn't), and that was also really good, and tasted fresh. I rated one star because I have had multiple negative encounters with the barista at this Starbucks. I arrived around 7:40 to the Ralph's and saw that she was on break until 7:50; so, I did my grocery shopping and came back at 7:55 to find her serving a customer. I went to the line and she rudely told me that that was her last customer so she wouldn't be serving me. I was like fine, I understand and then my dad simply told her we were waiting for her to get on break and she proceeded to go off for literally no reason. I've worked in customer service so I understand being frustrated during closing time but her attitude was uncalled for and based off other encounters, she shouldn't be working in customer service. It's not that difficult to treat customers with respect or basic manners. That being said, she's overall disrespectful and what I regret most is not going off on her dumbass in the first place. read more
