10 minutes in the drive through line behind only one customer. We ordered a Tall Iced Caramel Macchiato and a Tall Iced Skinny Latte. The tall guy Latisha liked asked "how it was going today"? Quality of drinks are decent; have been relatively consistent (taste, sweetness, strength) when I go. Just don't expect your order to be fulfilled in the order placed. Drive thru seems to have priority over walk-ins also. read more

I've lived here for awhile and have been to this particular Starbucks tons of times. Good food, and coffee. Mediocre service. I've never had a problem with them messing up my order. The MAIN problem is that this is the only Starbucks with a drive thru around this area. The intersection it is on the corner of is absolute hell everyday. This causes the store to be super busy pretty much constantly. The parking and drive thru set up is poor and yes the service is slower than other Starbucks stores I've been to but it's also so much busier and smaller than those. read more

I LOVE Starbucks! I go at least once a day, often multiple times a day. But I will NEVER go to this location again! My husband works right down the street, but I will go out of my way to avoid this location. The employees, ignore you! I ALWAYS take a insulated cup with me wherever I go. I drink water all day with my coffee. I asked the counter person for water in it and he just ignored me! I stood at the end of the counter while my coffee was being made, trying to get SOMEONES attention, and nothing! I walked out with no water, very unhappy! I'm in the drive-thru line of this Starbucks at least twice a week. I've waited to do the review, hoping they would improve, wondering if they were just in a place where they are training new people, etc. I'd say I've given them a fair amount of time to improve (over a year). However, this morning I was in the drive-thru line for over 25 minutes! I expected probably a 10 minute wait with the amount of cars that were in front of me, but oh my goodness, the line would literally sit still for 5 minutes with no movement, meaning someone was just sitting at the window waiting for their drink. Sadly, it's not just the morning rush when they are this slow. I can go in the evening with only 3 cars in line, and be stuck there for 10-15 minutes sometimes. I don't understand why it takes so long in the drive-thru. Last week I pulled in the parking lot, ordered my drink on the Starbucks app and walked in 3 minutes later and walked out with my drink. If they can do that so quickly and efficiently (I should add there was a long drive-thru line), why can't they move the cars through?? The location and layout of the parking lot are not ideal. The drive thru gets so backed up due to the slowness, that it wraps around the building, and cars that would like to enter the parking lot to park get stuck just waiting for the line to move and get a parking spot. Regarding my drink, I get the same thing every time, an Iced Grande Caramel Macchiato, with one splenda and extra caramel drizzle. I'm satisfied with the drink itself 90% of the time, so I can't complain a whole lot on that. I haven't had any issues with the staff, everyone has been friendly with me. read more

This Starbucks sucks. I use to work at the tailgators down the street so I'm very understanding at times when it comes to bad customer service. But this place.. Is just bad. I never leave satisfied. It's like when you wake up and need coffee to start your day and You look forward to Starbucks.. And what you get isn't what you paid for. There is another Starbucks in the target next to this one. Not a great Starbucks, by any means. I stopped at this location for the first time last week and ordered a venti chai tea latte recently. It was by far the worst one I have ever had - it tasted like a mix of a chai tea latte and a carmel apple cider! Yuck! However, I had already waited nearly 25 minutes to get my drink/luke warm breakfast sandwich in the drive-through and was already on the road when I noticed it, so I didn't have time to take it back. Coffee is pretty much the same at all Starbucks, so no surprise there. Service is usually pleasant but not particularly attentive. Again pretty standard across all Starbucks. The place pretty small. Not the cleanest location. They could use a witch and her broom. Seemed to have a chronic fly problem. Wonder if there a genetic college student working on a lab project. On the plus side, no dead animal were seen. Free wifi, music at a moderate level. Noise level consistent with the level of activity. Wait time for drinks is fairly normal. Of course, it is longer during rush hour. Plan accordingly. They have a patio located off 1488, so if traffic is your "white noise," you are in luck. The only reason for the 1 star is there is not an option for zero. If only they had better management!! The product is the product but the service is what differentiates a $5 cup of coffee. I have been in 3 times in the past month and every time I think the service can't get any worse but it does. Empty milk gallons on the floor, the trash overflowing, 2 hours after they open the deli case half full, the baristas don't listen - ask for chocolate milk in a cup and am handed the box, ask for and pay for a breakfast sandwich but they "forget to put it in the oven", the line is wrapped around the building 5 people on the clock but only 2 are actually working. Again ALL of this could be rectified with effective management. I guess be they are the only coffee place thus they continue to have substantial business. PLEASE SOMEONE from Starbucks corporate intercede as I do love my Starbucks coffee but cannot continue with this atrocious service!!! read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I've visited, and I have been to many. My family and I were on our way to the Woodlands to see Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett this weekend; so we decided to stop at Starbucks before checking into our hotel. We walk inside and no one greeted us hello, the environment was not that of a friendly one. Even the most satisfactory of Starbucks make it a point to say hello to their customers. I digress, the only nice person we dealt with in the two days we visited them was the cashier with the glasses and I am so sad I did not get his name as he was not part of the problem. The women who were making the drinks were HORRIBLY rude. When I received one of my hot beverage orders I asked the barista if I could have a drink stopper as we were getting ready to head back on the road. She gave me the dirtiest look and said, "No. We're out. But if you fold a straw in half it works just the same." So that rubbed me the wrong way on the first day. The second day, as we were traveling our way back to Austin, again I walk in, no hello. Did not see the friendly cashier, the one working didn't bother to ask my name for the order to write on the cups. Then when I got my drink order the same horrible barista girl from the day before slid my drink to me with no straw in it. I literally had to reach over the counter and grab my own straw. Major attitude all around. I'm not really sure what the problem is, but I know Starbucks treats their workers well so I'm not really sure why these baristas are so disgruntled. In any case, if I ever make my way back to Houston again I will avoid this one at all costs. So glad I'm back in Austin, love store # 10617 ! read more

Before I became a Starbucks partner at another location, I would frequent this place for relaxation. Recently when I would go in to relax, there would be ample amount of partners standing around and one making drinks, one taking orders at drive thru, and others chatting amongst each other ignoring those in line. I have watched one partner bust out all of the drinks in a rush hour. The one on drive thru did not help and just stood around. I don't like the service. But whoever is the one I see all the time working super hard, I commend you. read more
