There's a restaurant and the Gates Mills branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. It's adorable. The cuteness continued as I stepped inside the coffee shop. Addie's was bright with big windows that drew in the best sunlight. The space is small and felt super quaint. There are a few plants hanging from the ceilings and the walls are filled with adorable art from local artists. I was warmly greeted by what I believe is a husband and wife duo who own the spot. They have a nice list of fun specialty coffee drinks and a pasty corner. I came at the end of the day, so there were only a few muffins left. I got a thin mint cafe au lait and a snicker doodle muffin. Both were excellent! The coffee was perfectly balanced and the chocolate inside seemed like good quality. My muffin was absolutely delicious and the owner offered to warm it up for me a little bit. It had cream cheese inside which ended up being warm and gooey. I sat and did a little bit of work for about 45 minutes before they quit. A few people came in for a cup of coffee and it seemed like such a lovely neighborhood spot. These are the moments that make me really grateful to be a Yelper. It's so easy to go to the same spots you frequent or chains you're familiar with, but when you actively make a choice to go that 5 extra minutes maybe out of your way, you may find yourself stumbled upon the most amazing businesses that fuel and support your community.

And the prices they charge are premium! (That's why I don't come here very often). I imagine anyone in business would be interested in a model like this. Make sure your public-facing employees are neat, polite, and service-oriented, also be sure your product is high-quality. Most restauranteurs will tell you that the price you pay is partially for "real estate." In other words, somebody's got to pay for the decor, at least. But 7 Brew has none of that yet they levy a fairly harsh "tax" for the privilege of purchasing there. I suppose the drive-in/drive out feature deserves some compensation. But again, I don't come here often because I would expect the pricing would reflect the lack of amenities offered. (note, for all my complaining I still return every three months or so.)

They seem to have an active calendar with many events upstairs throughout the month. My only suggestion is that they don't warm up the cinnamon buns. They're ok at room temperature but would be even better if warmed in the back. All that said, I highly recommend Victoria's Bakery.
