I was so pleased and overwhelmed with the service I was provided. Nina and Grace were such remarkable and vibrant barista/shift lead. With their approach, their hospitality, people manners, and individuality, I want to go back to see them and get drinks from them and as a customer make sure they feel valuable! We had a conversation at the drive thru window, and it just came natural how we addressed each other and our connection! I even came around closing and they still had a red cup on red cup day. This is a very nice and new Starbucks that is located across University from the hospital. It's a standard Starbucks and has everything you would think it should. I don't thin it's even one year old yet (but I could be mistaken). I got in and out very quickly last week when I needed my coffee fix. I do not normally review chain establishments as these places, like Starbucks, will typically attract customers no matter what. BUT, I have to say I appreciate this location for several reasons. First, the drive thru staff is always welcoming and kind. Even with long lines, they work as quickly as possible and greet you with smiles. Second, it's a large drive thru! We lack drive thru Starbucks options in McKinney, and you can tell by the number of customers always in line. We could easily use another drive thru location on 380. It's nice having this location versus having to go inside at other nearby Starbucks locations. Third, parking and drive thru space is ample. I love that I can use my Starbucks app at checkout in the drive thru to pay and collect points. Don't forget to take cash and tip the staff, even in the drive thru!! The tip jar is not always visible so you can hand it to them. They are always appreciative! read more

THE BEST Starbucks in McKinney by far!!!! The Manager Rufuro is the sweetest manager and very attentive to what's going on in her store. The baristas are always up bear and talkative and always put a smile on everyone's faces, especially Victor, Kiran, Jess, Kylie, Julie, Evelyn, Grace, Claudia, And Tara. The drinks are always made to perfection and the food is always warm. This is by far my favorite Starbucks and the atmosphere is just cozy and great to relax and do some work. As another reviewer said the inside and DT is a bit slow BUT please remember 380 is always busy and they can only work so fast. I am very disappointed in this Starbucks. This location was wonderful when it first opened but all those employees have since left and now everyone that works there now does not know how to properly make coffee drinks and they have not been properly trained. After my simple iced americano order was messed up multiple times and tastes disgusting I can no longer pay 5 dollars for a poorly made coffee I deserve much better for the cost. If they continue to raise prices then they need to invest in quality employees who are trained on how to make all the drinks correctly. I also reached out to the regional manager Ryan weeks ago and he never responded to my feedback so I gave them opportunity to respond and resolve the issues before I resorted to posting a negative yelp review. I don't usually give reviews, especially negative ones, but I'm giving this 3 stars because they never add cream and sugar to my coffee when I ask. It's not really that big a deal because the staff is friendly, the coffee's still very good, and I usually have some sweetener at home, but I think every-time I've asked for cream and sugar, I always get straight black coffee and I go to this location VERY frequently, just because it's closest to my home and on the way from my college. This is why I like the location in Adriatica off of Virginia Pkwy better, but don't tell them I said that! read more

Waited in line behind a lady for five minutes to get to the window and the cashier tell me she won't take our order. it was 7:02 and they close at 7. Not only did they not take my order but I had to wait behind someone else as they received their order in just enough time for me to write this review. Serious issues with professionalism and lack of customer service. First this wasn't the first bad experience at this location. First time I chalked it up to it being relatively new and they were getting used to the demand. This now however is unacceptable. Went in and ordered my usual drink and got treats for the kids. The "acting" manager, Matt, took my order and while making my drink was bitching about it over the headsets. - how he's tired of people ordering drinks to their preference and how he should just say no. Seriously dude?? I don't know if you were intentionally saying it loud enough for me to hear. When he got my drink, it was the wrong size. I ordered a grande and he made a tall. When I called him out on it, his response was "well, don't worry I didn't charge you extra". Are you FN kidding me?? that's not the point!! I don't give a rats ass about paying for what I ordered! Seriously, manager and district manager need to have a sit down with this clown and tell him grow up! Act like a damn professional and if he's unhappy with his job, go do something else! read more
