Today's Starbucks experience didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. I really know paying over five dollars for a cup of coffee is insane, but I consider the service part of what I'm paying for and I didn't get that feeling today. I felt like the barista that took my order was annoyed I was even there. I could hear it in her voice, and I could feel it in the way she served me the coffee . From what I understand this is a newer location. Not enamored of the layout of tables, but its using the space they have the best they can. Has a drivethru. If you want to wait for 20 cars ahead of you, it's there for you. The service & the products served, was the most sub par starbucks experience ever. Walked in. Meeting people. I ordered on app to stay. Others in my party ordered at counter. My drink took forever, and they never called my name when they put it out..but did for every other order. My grilled cheese never came until i said something, and even then it took a while. My friends who ordered at counter all had issues with their orders too. Wrong drink, hardly any milk..etc. issues like that. Typically, Starbucks staff operate like a oiled machine. This one has a lot of kinks to work out. Maybe because it's not well established yet? I don't know and won't be back to try again. Only reason I came to this location was because it was in middle of where everyone was coming from. I don't live near here. I haven't been inside because I'm always driving through, but I feel like not many people are aware of the location yet because it never seems crowded. Ordered on the mobile Starbucks app and went to pickup my order. Only the drive thru was opened with 20 autos waiting in line. Parked my car and walked to the window and was told to get back in my car and wait. Why did they accept mobile online orders and then make me wait for about an hour? A review a long time in the making...I know, we're talking about Starbucks, but for this spot, I've been visiting it for *counts up on fingers* over five years. Knowing that, I think it's about time for a little wordage in their honor. Don't worry. Most referenced experiences were within the last year or so which makes this review (somewhat) relevant. I mean I've watched this Medford Starbucks stay just about the same over all these years with a quaint (okay, normal Starbucks) setup, though their little counter on the side with a few stools for seating and hanging light fixtures is wonderful. It's not entirely (or at all, to be blunt) available right now as we still rock the Covid, but worth mentioning nonetheless. The consistently friendly employees are also worth a nod and probably why I'd give this coffee spot four stars. They seem to be slightly more cheerful than your average S-Bucks staff member, and drinks are churned out almost always at a reasonable speed. That quoted time on your Starbucks app for your drink to be ready is usually accurate if not prepared before the time window begins. I will say they had some snafus when it came to the more hardcore Covid setup of waiting outside the store before ordering/pickup, but luckily that's a thing of the past...hopefully. While we're mentioning outside, they've set up four parking spots devoted to curbside pickup and the handful of exterior tables placed around the entrance makes for an enticing spot to sit and sip a bit (if you're not in a rush). Overall, it's Starbucks. Read back through this review and I didn't even mention the drink quality (it's what you expect, don't worry). Instead I focused on some other aspects that honestly tend to be factors I notice at my own local Starbucks. Speed, friendliness, and a good setup are parts that come into play when wanting to get your cup-o-joe and go go go, so if you're looking for a legit Starbucks that does that, Medford has you covered. I'd like to start off by saying I come to this Starbucks everyday solely for the fact that it is convenient to my commute. After today, I will be going to a different store. It's unfortunate that they simply cannot seem to get any drink correct. I regularly order Americanos and cappuccinos. No matter what, they turn out completely different everyday. I order an Americano with light water and extra ice however they habitually make them with extra water and the ice almost melted. The cappuccinos are just as disappointing. They taste like a milky latte rather than a foamy espresso. I specifically order cappuccinos because I don't enjoy too much milk. When this store is busy, forget it, they're handing you someone else's drink because they can't keep up with the pace. Disappointing but I won't be returning. read more

I was driving to my house when I saw this Starbucks and decided to go there. I was thirsty, hungry, and overall feeling crappy. I ordered a venti iced caramel latte with cold foam...for 14 dollars?? I usually order this drink for about 8 dollars. Way too overpriced. It was overly sweetened, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Location is convenient! Been here several times now It's on 112 off the LIE service rd. Head East on south service road and make a right behind some buildings. Go around and you'll hit Starbucks on the left. They have a small seating area outside. The place is convenient but small. Not much seating inside though but that's ok. Baristas are great! Not that I feel unique in my patronage of the Starbucks coffee chain but... as a business traveler, I've been to a lot of Starbucks locations across the country. I feel like I've seen everything from the best-of-the-best to the worst-of-the-worst. I've been to locations so bad that the manager had to take out a training manual to figure out how to make a carmel macchiato. On the flip side, I've been to locations that were so amazing that I think the barista would have carried me to the bathroom if I asked them to :) All that being said: I love the employees at this location! They are always friendly and fun and seem very dedicated to serving their customers. The employees are, in my opinion, a great asset to the Starbucks brand. They are always smiling and seem to enjoy their job (as much as anyone can actually enjoy working at a small location of a giant corporation). They remember most of the patrons and call them by name and often already know what the customer's drink order will be before they reach the counter. On the merit of their employees alone I would love to give them 5 Stars... BUT...this location is like a STARBUCK STEPCHILD; under-loved and under-appreciated! It seems like corporate doesn't see the value of having this location and it shows: the location is tiny, parking is very limited, and the entrance/exit is very inconvenient. The prepared food selection is minimal and the Starbucks branded merchandise like cups, mugs, and the like is pathetic. I shouldn't be complaining though because ANY STARBUCKS IS BETTER THAN NO STARBUCKS, right? I need my morning coffee and my afternoon tea :) read more

Another fantastic Starbucks when it comes to convenience. This location is almost as convenient as the one in Roslyn Heights - it does require you to make a right, make a left in to the hotel parking lot and then cut through to get to Starbucks but it's not that painful. Once you've got your order, you can quickly depart and get back on to the LIE very quickly... Worst Starbucks by far. I stopped here yesterday evening to get a nitro cold brew. There was literally 2 orders ahead of me. Simple coffee and iced teas. I was waiting over 20 min for them to then tell me the nitro wasn't working. There was one person making the drinks while (what appeared to be an employee off the clock) sitting at the counter talking and making jokes and having a full blown conversation about personal stuff with the employees working, which slowed them down even more. I had a Starbucks reward so thats what I used to pay. After 20 min of waiting then being told that it wasn't working I asked for a refund. I had two crying kids waiting in the car with my sister in law and this mama needed some caffeine. Well lesson learned...... by far the worst Starbucks to stop at. For the amount of money we spend in this dump you would hope to not be given an attitude as if you had just sawed off there arm. On average we spend $23 a day. I swear every time. (Exception the young man with no name tag keri and a blonde curly haired girl.) zero greeting "Dee " is a complete nasty person. This Starbucks is probably the most convenient for me when I'm visiting my parents, but if I had other options, I wouldn't be coming to this location. The product they serve is the same as every other Starbucks on the planet, so you can't go wrong with that. My qualms with this location have to do with the service. Maybe it's because I'm used to locations in major cities, but this Starbucks' service is painfully slow. I believe they're supposed to have a 3-5 minute wait time from when you walk into a Starbucks to when you leave, but I don't think I've ever left in under 7 minutes or so. This sounds like a total first world problem - and it is - but when a company promises something (and when you're in a rush), this does become an issue. Thankfully, the staff is pleasant and chats with you while you wait, but I can't help but get impatient each and every time I visit this Starbucks. So far I haven't had a bad drink here. The location is busy but the service is fast. Subtract a star because the location is poor. Easy to get to coming from the south or west. Coming from north or east involves making a u-turn on a very busy road. Parking is inadequate, a few spots in front, some scattered on the side, and a shared lot in the back. Subtract a second star for the decor. Limited seating with only a few comfy chairs, and not very relaxing because of its small size. No drive through. Great for grab and go, but that's it. read more

My favorite store to stop at when passing on the expressway. This place can definitely get crowded during busy hours so there is a wait sometimes but it's so worth it. I feel bad seeing the workers look tired and running around from the nonstop business so keep this in mind when you are ordering and waiting for your drinks. They are very nice and accommodating. My family , friends and myself have ordered from this rt. 112 Medford N.Y. Starbucks forever. In this past year or so they have stopped giving you a bag for food items. So when picking up drinks ,sandwiches and treats for not only myself but usually other people as well I have to ask for a bag to put the warm food into. So upon going in today I ordered drinks and food items to deliver to family. The girl who took my order handed me the warm food items , ofcourse without a bag. So as I was waiting for the drinks to finish being made I walked over and asked the same girl if I could please have a bag. She replied that will ne 5 cents and rang it up. I payed with a card so I was looking for change in my pockets , but didnt have any. So I went into my phone case where I had a $20 bill I was holding for my grandson. She actually took the 20 and broke it for 5 cents !!! Not only that instead of giving me $19.95 back in change she gave me $19.75. So I paid a quarter for a bag in a food establishment!! Between me and my daughter alone we spend $20 to $25 a day 5 days a week at Starbucks. I am extremely disappointed in this experience at this particular Starbucks. Im not one to complain about change , if I dropped it on the floor I would leave it for the sweeper . But its the principle of the matter.
