On November 6th, I went to this Starbucks location to see if they had any items from the Hello Kitty x Starbucks merch collection and they had the special-edition Hello Kitty plush, water tumbler, and gift cards. I had to get the Hello Kitty plush and even got the last one remaining for my friend. The Hello Kitty plush is her dressed in a signature Starbucks green apron. I also ordered an iced pumpkin cream chai. Employees were friendly and efficient. The parking lot is shared among Starbucks and the other businesses next to it so it can get a little hectic depending on the time. This location is so disappointing. I ordered a frap and a cake pop...$9.70, rediculous!! I hand the girl a $20 bill and she hands me $10. I say " I think you owe me .30. If you get most of your coffee drinks from the store, then you spend a lot of Storebucks. This is not that. Located next to a pretty decent pizzeria is this Starbucks where I hung out for about an hour when I needed Wi-Fi and a little beverage. There's not a huge amount of boba options on Long Island so I'm happy to have this here, but I'm still not the biggest fan in the world especially of their prices. read more

Spacious Starbucks located off a main road in Melville, NY. The drinks and the food are the same at every USA location to my knowledge. However, the same does not apply to the service. I have been to this location twice in the month and I have been very impressed at the great service both times. My drinks were made really quickly and the way I want them. The workers are very friendly and personable. The location is well maintained and quiet, so it's a god spot to get some work done as well. The only drawback is the lack of drive-thru. We heard all these bands that -- well, it sounded like they grew up on Soundgarden , Pearl Jam and the entire Seattle scene -- but they got it all wrong and stripped it down to what now gets play on TV commercials. The Coffees and food products are consistent, the decor and amenities vary depending on the Venue. For me, the most important​ attribute is always Customer Service! The "Wonderful Employee Today", who helped me was also my barista. She was so welcoming and made me a GREAT cappuccino. Better than most SB spots that I go to. The Brew was full of Flavor and was Not ALL foam, like I get in many places. But what would make me come back again, was the SMILE that this employee brightened the whole place with. Hmm. Well...I was greeted very nicely by the barista. He asked me what I wanted. I told him, "grande skinny vanilla latte please." I see him writing it out on the cups for iced drinks. I never said I wanted an iced drink. I told him, he didn't apologize and then started writing it out on the regular hot cups. 2 minutes later another barista asked me what kind of drink I wanted. This location has a miserable parking situation. There are other businesses in this shopping strip so It's very rare to get a parking space in the parking lot because it's so busy all hours of the work day. You'll either have to park on the side of Route 110 or just wait and possibly get hit in the parking lot. Although parking isn't the best, the location is extremely convenient as it is in between the Northern State and the LIE. I try to order in advance if I remember, but if I don't, there's normally a long line or the one customer that is picking up for their whole office. I would recommend ordering on the app as it's usually always ready when you get there and it cuts off human interaction, if that's what you're into. I don't think I've ever had a messed up order from here so you can expect to receive what you requested. read more

The service has always been excellent and never had a problem with a drink. The store is on the big side with plenty of seating. The biggest problem with this Starbucks is location. There literally is almost no parking and if your desperate enough to want to wait for a spot it can be a while. So I have been out here a week on business and been coming here twice a day ... maybe I just have bad luck, maybe it's the area -- lotsa families and kids -- but it's always 10 minutes or longer to get my coffee drink. Maybe I'm used to the city or more business areas where people are in a hurry because they have lots of work to do or are generally more productive. It was so much worse before the other location across the street from the Wal*Mart opened a few years ago up near Airport Plaza. You can usually get a seat at night (which is all I care about when it comes to Starbucks). The only thing that sucks is/has been workers that want to get ready to close like 2 hours before the place actually closes! NO- you should not be mopping the floor at 7:15 PM. NO you should not be putting the milk & creamer cannisters away at 6: 45 PM. And NO- you should not be handing customers the huge gallon jugs of milk to use for themselves! NIGHT TIME CREWS are never , ever as good as the early daytime crews. That goes for ALL STARBUCKS across-the-board!!!!! So, you go to places like Starbucks where you walk into a room of smiling employees and customers, a room filled with people who were smiling before you walked in, and that makes you mad. Then the cheerful, and very caffeinated, young college student, whose been working long hours to pay for college because her parents don't have enough money to save the house and pay tuition after mommys cancer and she feels further stress because how does she tell her family she's failing school, greets you nicely, but makes a mistake on your very important cup of basic latte. So you now happily project all of your anger with yourself on to this young girl, and you do all that you can to make her feel guilty and shamed for getting your coffee wrong, but really is it worth it? This has been - since it opened- my go to Starbucks as I work in the area. They take the time to get to know you. If they mess up a drink they remake it - no questions asked. Amazing Starbucks, with baristas who truly care about the drinks they make and the people they make them for! They always make my day when I come in & they started remembering my name after only my 3rd or 4th visit. Now I am a regular there & they make my day every morning even at 6 am!! Never got a bad drink from this Starbucks and they always offer to remake me something else if I won't like a new drink I want to try. Much better than the stores in the area. Awesome new manager too. Store clean 95% of the time but of course gets a little crazy during morning rushes. They always make sure to clean right after lots of people come in though! This place is very good! I always enjoy it! I always order the Vente Caramel Frap and it is very good. The parking lot for this one is also huge. Ironically in the morning is not as crazy as you would think, the parking lot is actually more crazy during lunch time! Anyway, I never seem to have trouble finding a spot here. Once inside the staff is very attentive and friendly. The service is a always super quick as well you never really have to wait more than 5 min for your order and your out the door very quickly. The other great thing about it is that there is alot of seating inside to wait and connect to their amazing WiFi. The google starbucks WiFI is better than my house lol! By far this is the best Starbucks I've ever been to. It's a beautiful store and has plenty of seating, which tends to be utilized by quite a few coffee drinkers throughout the day giving it a community feel. This store has only given me one problem in the years I've been going here for my morning joe, and once I asked the barista to remake the drink she gave me no problem, was super kind and remade the drink to perfection (turns out I took the wrong drink). Every barista I've encountered has been extremely nice, knowledgeable and efficient and has helped me choose new drinks to satisfy my tastebuds, and even has helped me pick a pastry (or two). Even when they have a line they orders are taken quickly by one barista so they're being made while someone else is ringing. Not only is the service fast but the drinks are incredible! There are 2 great baristas at this Melville location that make mindblowing cappuccino! However, matcha latte is a rip off since most of the baristas just shake and fill the cup with mostly foam. By the time i step out it is half a cup of the drink for $5! Please try to give me a full drink for my money's worth! Ugh. And today my drink was very light green so i asked for extra matcha, and the lady put one extra scoop, shook it further, dumped more foam into my cup, and then slammed the cup on to the counter such that matcha latte spilled onto me! Forget about any tips going forward lol. Geez. Gonna try another location for my daily Starbucks run now. read more

This is not drive thru location. Parking is limited, which sucks. I order my coffee 25 minutes before picking it up and it was still not ready. I haven't experienced this much delayed with mobile orders. The Baristas were not sure how the flow of orders work. MORE training is needed to help keep people safe during covid-19. read more

This Starbucks is seriously the best one I've ever visited, hands down. Why? The staff. The staff here is one that all Starbucks locations should aspire to be. The manager seems to really inspire a friendly atmosphere and it really shows. Almost the entire staff knows me by name (and I notice they know many of the customers by name as well), and really take the time to get to know you, ask how you're doing, what your weekend plans are. They go above and beyond. Shout out to Nicole, Becca, Philip, Shane and Collette! Thanks for making this the best Starbucks around. Every time I go to another location, I can't help but think about how they aren't as good as this location. Only complaint: the parking lot here is TERRIBLE. It's a small shopping center with a few other store-fronts so it fills up very quickly and the lot itself is not very big. I really loved coming here till recently, i'll often come in middle of the day and see a young male standing around with a disgruntled look on his face. It is rather odd because the staff is always so friendly! He is the opposite, always rude, never helps the staff if there are a lot of customers in the store and to put the icing on the cake he touches his hair and doesn't wash his hands after EVER. I've seen him do this on multiple accounts as i have been in the store regularly but with the pandemic and really taking my health seriously I will be going down the block to the Farmingdale or other Melville location. I just got a job in the area and frankly this location is really disappointing compared to other locations I've been to on LI. I visited today at 845am to grab a drink and breakfast. I had to wait in line with only 2-4 people ahead of me for about 5-10 minutes before getting my order in. And by no fault of there's but for some reason there was a shift change... At 845 in the morning with a growing line. Not sure why this happened and why it couldn't wait until after the 9am rush (which I'm sure happens at all starbucks locations near business centers) either way they just had in register going for a while. Order taken and paid for just fine. But the one barista making all the drinks had a habit (called so because it just wasn't my drink that she did it to) of slamming down the drinks, calling out what the drink was, and then slamming a cup sleeve on top. I mean if the they were taking our names and making a point of doing that so you didnt have to say 'venti soy chai, no water, no foam, half skim' then why didn't you just say my single syllable name? And this was for every drink before and after me. And did you really have such an issue making drinks that you had to slam them all on the counter? Hoping tomorrow's chai comes with just a tad more love than today's or I'll end up making it at home. Oh and ps their parking lot is terrible! This locale has some of the friendliest staff I've ever met at a Starbucks. Whenever I'm in the mood for something different, they've got plenty of suggestions considerate to my tastes, and once they even let me slide when I forgot my treat receipt! I do have to admit that I've never been there during the prime rush, a 1-2pm lunch saving me from some of that grief, and I avoid it in the mornings, so the longest wait I've ever had once in the door was about 5 minutes. However, as shared by many of the other reviews, getting inside IS the biggest hassle. The place gets serious negative points, considering where it is on the 110 corridor, in terms the way the location is situated. A fairly small lot with two way traffic at both ends, mixed with customers who are either short on time, courtesy, or a combination of the two, and you wind up with the daily gridlock. If the shop had been opened in just about any of the other nearby lots, I don't think it'd be as much trouble. Really poor planning on someone's part. read more
