Not sure if this location gets most of their business very early in the morning. That could explain the dirty floors. The bathroom needs remodeling. We stopped to get a coffee, and my husband asked for permission to use the restroom before I made my order, and the employees pretty much told us we could not use the restroom if we did not have an order with them and that it was a new policy. Stopped by this location with hubby to grab our Easter morning coffee. Parking lot is pretty small but there is street parking right on the side of the building. They have some seating outside to enjoy your coffee if weather permits. I was a tad bit disappointed that they were out of oat milk pretty early in the day. Anyhow, we ordered our drinks and bread. We went back in to get our drinks but bread hadn't been warmed up yet so we still had a bit of a wait. No biggie, they were super busy. Overall, service was good, not sure if I would return. The young man, Josh, who greeted me at the cash register and took my order is without a doubt one of the most friendly food service workers I've encountered in ages. A warm good morning -- asked sincerely, not by rote -- how I was doing, what I did for work, and then a conversation with me about my job, how I help people, if I liked it. This young man will go far, no matter what he chooses to do in life. His way of connecting with people is amazing. I frequently visit this location 3-4 times a week. Yesterday I took my kids next door to the Jamba Juice. They have no public restroom so i decided to take him to Starbucks. I kindly asked the cashier for the restroom code for my 8 year old son. To my surprise, I was asked if I had placed an order. I advised her that my child needed to use the restroom. She explained that the company had a strict policy on bathroom use which required me to make a purchase prior to using the restroom. I was so upset! I stopped by this Starbucks to get my wife her Blonde Vanilla Latte since I was across the street shopping at Vons. This location has a small parking lot but you can also park on the street if there space. I parked across the street in the plaza where Vons at. When I walked in, I was able to put the order in right away since they weren't busy. The person working the cashier was nice and the place is set up nicely if you want to stay there to work. My drinks did take a while to make even though it didn't look like they had much orders. There were like 7 employee behind the counter and they were just gossiping about a co worker or someone else. I stood there watching them because I was waiting for my drink at the pick up area so I was annoyed. After my drink was made, it just sat there because the person putting the lid and announcing the name was talking to the person who made the drink. I'm adding this review to reflect today only... I tried to add a Mobil order, but the site wasn't allowing it, but showed that they were open. So I decided to stop by...still no good. The regular hours sign says they open at 5:30 today, it was almost 6:30 and the door is still locked, although we can see employees sticking inside. I fully understand sometimes things happen, employees run late, schedule changes...and although they obviously were able to shut down ordering ahead, more communication goes a long way at a time like this. Just put a note on the door saying when you'll open, instead of us wasting our time standing outside hoping for it. I'm sure by now I've got a lot of "Karen" comments coming my way, let me help you, yes, there's a Starbucks down the street, I'm fully aware. I carpool from this location to clinical rotations today. Yes, there are other options, but again, carpooling. And regardless, the bottom line is poor business management. This was a quick stop with a special someone, once upon a time. The place is ok in size, and seating was no problem to find. I was there to chat over coffee, but I see that it would be an alright place to study and be productive. The staff here was friendly, and efficient in processing our orders. The place was clean and organized, to include their outdoor seating. Speaking of which, this is a great place for outdoor seating to get in that fresh air.
