Stop by here every week on my early morning before volunteering with some little kids. I almost didn't stop my first time because there were 3-4 cars ahead of me and I thought the wait would be too long. To my surprise, they got through the line extremely fast and this has remained true even after all the times I have been here. I first ordered a latte which didn't taste very great and have more recently switched to green tea lattes which they make a lot better. The far from great tasting latte was part of the reason I didn't rate it higher (though I suppose I shouldn't expect much more from Starbucks). Along with this, I have heard the worker's conversations multiple times. One of these cases, I heard one girl telling the others about her crazy night out and the other I heard a girl complaining about how busy they had been. horrible manager . told me I had a job and then never contacted me again, called multiple times to get ahold of manager, but never seemed to be in or was always "on vacation". called multiple times a week. Very unprofessional. even went into the actual storefront and the manager didn't talk to me but insisted she would call me after we got back from vacation once again, never heard from them again. hired in March and it's now July. They let aggressive panhandlers punch my car as I'm ordering in the drive-thru. And they did nothing about the issue. When I called the store, I was hung up on twice by an employee named Josh before I could even tell him about the problem. I love Starbucks just like everyone else in America because it's so convenient! There is a Starbucks on every corner, you are bound to find a drink that is your favorite. This location in particular is horrible! The customer service here is a 2/10. Every single time I have been here my order is incorrect. I never complain in person because I don't have time to wait for my drink to be re-made. Today when my order was repeated back to me it was correct but when I got to the window my drinks were screwed up like usual! I asked for my receipt and the barista closed the window and took awhile to print it out. If you are passing through town or getting a drink before work/school don't go here if you are the type of customer who likes good customer service! read more

Coffee is usual Starbucks quality. Staff is friendly and generally attentive. A bit unusual experience if you need to use the restroom. You have to free up one of the baristas to allow access to use it. Every so often they have issues with the local transients and hypes so this was the solution. Music is at a conversational level and a wide variety of genres is played. Seating area is mostly single tables with chairs. No lounge chairs like you find at the Merle Avenue Starbucks. read more

Standard Starbucks. WiFi - Not Good! Smaller location, the seats are frequently taken. Standard coffee. I avoid this place because the WiFi ain't great, the coffee is standard. If you don't care about WiFi, go to Mocha Magic down the street. read more

I'm going to give a 4 star for the way the manager handled my problem when I came back. But I'm very suspicious of how and why the issue happened in the first place. I sent my son to go buy us drinks. I gave him 35 dollars in 5s. When my son paid the cashier he was itold the 5's were fake. They took the money from him and really couldn't tell him how they determined them to be fake. They didn't test them at all. They didn't call the police or anything. My son was so embarrassed he just paid with his card and came home. I was highly upset because I know that money was real! I went back and spoke with the manager and she quickly said the cashier was mistaking the money with the money from the car a head of him...... uummm what? She said she would go get the money out the back. When the manager returned I questioned her again. Why would she get the money mixed up. She literally showed my son his 5s and said see they are all fake but couldn't explain what made them fake. The manager said she has no idea what happened. Or how it happened. Apparently its "district policy" to deny customers hot water because "it could be used as a weapon" UNLESS I for pay for a full priced tea to get it. Dumbest stuff i ever heard. Not like the same theoretical thing couldnt happen with a hot tea. It would of been fine because i was just extremely puzzled and perplexed. I have never encountered that at any other starbucks. However, another employee with a headset relayed something about me to whomever on the other end then proceeded to stand next to the cashier and stare me down like I was a problem or causing a scene when I was trying to understand this stupid "policy". It would be nice if they actually listened to what you order. But every time I get to the window my drink is wrong. It either has whip or not all four shots . Today my drink was right tho but I waited in drive thru for ten minutes got to the window and they parked me out front for five more minutes. This place has a serious management issue. read more

Went to this location on a sunday morning about 730 ish and had a new girl to staff never seen before young caucasian women with long blonde hair in a pony tail . Right away she was rude and she didnt even greet me so I waited for the total because she didnt give it to me when I placed order at speaker so my total was 4.70 I told her no thats a mistake mine always cost 3.55 cents she said its cause you wanted cinnamon powder but we put cinnamon dolce powder and its extra I asked her but its free isnt it on the counter to add to coffees before you leave the store ? She said no we charge! And rolled her eyes .. I told her again no it's always 3.55 and can i talk to manager on duty she said she is busy she never said sorry or asked me what I wanted to do maybe I guess she figued I only had less than 4.00 which was rude and discriminatory .Then was asked why just we charge for it do you want it or not? Or wait ill remake without any cinnamon dolce powder on top and it will be 3.55 . So without asking she went on and made another drink and wasnt even what I ordered from the start even wuthout the any type of powder maybe due to all this chaos in the world people are being looked at different and wont go out the way for a mixed couple and let me mind you I always go alone but this morning I had my husband with me and he is black but hate to blame it on that but really felt like this store was very racist. Usually I come to this Starbucks and the drinks are not great and they are always busy. HOWEVER, today I did an online order for pick-up. Not sure if she was the manager or an employee, but she went above and beyond. She seemed to not even have started her shift yet....she was coming in from the car. Asked what my name was and said she would bring it out and then even got my order that I forgot to put in started before I could even enter it on the app. She was super kind and thorough. Just left this location and I'm so dissatisfied. Orders a coffee and bread.. normally it's fast and quick and perfect. This morning I leave thinking it's as usual. But no get to work 2 minutes away with ice cold bread. Seems like it was just pulled from the fridge. I come to this starbucks very rarely. Here is why, I have ordered my drinks in the past and they have been wrong. Instead of offering to remake my drink, which is company policy. I get asked, "Do you want me to pour it out and add more cream? " Well no, because then the sugar and coffee ratio will be all jacked up!! So today I decided on my way to the Dr. I would give them another chance. I ordered a Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato. That's it nothing extra and nothing less. Well I got a Macchiato but no Caramel!!! The cup, says Caramel Macchiato, but it has no Caramel!!! I don't get it! How do you do that ? I know it is busy in the morning but really ? It's in the name of the drink and you leave it out? I had my fiance get my drink, while I waited in the car. I had foot surgery so I wasn't supposed to walk around. And drive thru was a mess, so he went in. When I saw the drink was wrong and the ticket was correct, I just had him leave. I was already running right on time and if I had gone back in I would have been late. The only reason why I continue to visit this store is because it is so close to work. Drinks are terrible. Iced coffee is always old and sour tasting. Iced tea is never made in a shaker. And hot beverages are usually filled 2 inches from the top. There also is this extremely rude girl in the drive thru. Never a smile. Always a frown. Always grumpy. read more

Located on Downey and I street downtown Modesto. I worked here for over a year. Great place to work, great place for some coffee drinks. All of the regulars can attest to that. The management is super cool and its in a great location downtown next to Savemart. Coffee is part of my morning routine. Whether I make a french press at home, order mug after mug to sip over cards with friends, or grab an iced cup in the drive through on early mornings, it sets the tone of my day. That is why I will never return to this location. Your brew methods are wrong. I can taste it. Your prep methods are wrong. I can taste it. Your customer service is terrible. You know it's true. Every single visit results in at least one wrong beverage, and when I'm alone, that beverage is mine. Every. Single. Visit. I'm not sure if it's an attempt to cut corners/save money, or simple negligence on the part of employees, but their iced coffee is disgusting. Truly. I dare you to order it and prove me wrong. I've attempted more than three times to have my beverages corrected, and all of them ended disastrously. So. In the interest of saving time, I drive ten minutes out of my way in the morning to avoid the frustrating, stomach turning hold ups you can expect at this store. Pulled up to the drive through window all lights still o....clock just turned 7:56pm and was told that she was helping her last customer. I feel customer service has really gone down hill. Since when do you dump coffee or close your doors before the closing time. A pour over would have been good enough for me....but I wasn't given that option. Not super bad experience but little things I disliked. I mobile ordered a peppermint white chocolate mocha with soy milk (with whipped cream, less pumps and less ice, I know I know I'm super picky which is why I like mobile ordering so I don't have to spout this out from memory and there's less chances of mistakes). It was ready when I got there but didn't know because I saw a drink without whipped cream. When I realized it I told the barista "oh thought it had whipped cream". He did not care lol and I didn't press the subject bc whatever it forces less calories upon me. This is an overall Starbucks issue that I hate, just because I ordered soy doesn't mean I'm lactose intolerant or don't want whipped cream, if I didn't want whipped cream I'd change that on the order! There's a spot for it in the app. I also hate when my drink comes out messy!!! Like wipe the outside please. People come in here in work clothes and don't need coffee on them. I always go threw the drive through, they are pretty quick even when there's a long line.

This Starbucks seems a lil not up to standards...their drinks are not always correct and some of their workers that aren't regulars are not as courteous. It seems like this is the place where they train beginner baristas or something. Stopped at this location on my way to my destination because it was the closest. Asked for a Venti vanilla cream cold brew, was told they were completely out (understandable , this is usually out in most locations). Wanted an ice coffee instead, was told this was also out and that the wait would be ten minutes (which I did not have to spare). The cashier offered me an iced Americano as the only alternative and assured me it would be sweetened with caramel flavoring. I had never had an Americano but didn't have time for anything else and what I got was a VERY bitter grande(wanted Venti originally ) iced Americano with light flavoring.
