Went to this Starbucks location to get some work done before meeting and I gotta say top notch service from the staff here because I had a group order and they were super patient with me in getting my order correct when I had no idea what the people I was ordering for wanted lol I dunno if prices are the same everywhere but this one seemed a little higher than those in San Bruno by less than a $1. Either way, the brown sugar shaken espresso was made just how I wanted it. They have plenty of tables and good wifi inside plus plenty of tables outside as well, especially nice when the weather is nice out. I do gotta say though, it was hella cold in here. This used to be my go to Starbucks every time I am in the Mountain View area. I even came here on Christmas and yes they were open on that day. Not sure if they still are now but it's very quiet here. A great place to enjoy a drink, spend some time alone and just watch the cars go by. I love the fruity drinks here because they smell really nice. I even bought a nice cup here that I don't see in my local Starbucks. Service here is very nice, whenever I need a drink it is ready immediately. Nothing is left behind and order is perfect. There is no long wait like other heavy traffic starbucks. A tale of two stores. I was on my way back from a long morning trip to the zoo with the kids and really longing for my fave fall drink: pumpkin foam cold brew, hold the vanilla syrup. I stopped by a SBUX on the way back and ordered one as a treat. Well, take a look at that drink on the left. Where's the foam?? I was so sad that I went to my local SBUX after I got home intending to order and pay for another one (that's how much I was longing for this). On Wednesday, May 5th, 2021, my sister finally met the three most incompetent baristas in recorded history. And that's putting it gently. She ordered a venti espresso drink with no ice. What she received was a half-filled cup. So she asked for it to be filled closer to the top. She didn't ask for extra syrup, she didn't ask for extra shots, she just asked for milk that Starbucks gladly fills for coffee orders. Instead, the three baristas invented excuses about why they don't (or won't) fill the cup. And they spent over 5 minutes lecturing her on their curious "rules". In the end, the baristas reluctantly added some milk to bring it over half the cup (see photo). The three of them haggled with a customer for over 5 minutes...over milk they usually set out in carafes for customers before the pandemic. Let me tell you, I live in Seattle and I know Starbucks very well. This has NEVER been the case when I order espresso drinks with no ice. Ever. And I order "no ice" with my cold espresso drinks every single time. Is it THIS Starbucks' policy to fill the cup half way if a customer asks for a hot drink at room temp? Or give milk discounts to customers who ask for extra ice, since you're using less milk? I very much doubt those are your policies. Or, maybe, the three geniuses behind the counter simply wanted to dump on the environment by using unnecessarily large cups to hold their minuscule pours. Good job baristas! But you know what's even more minuscule than this asinine half-pour? The common sense and customer service displayed by the three baristas who worked at this location this morning. If you are the manager at this location, get your staff's act together. This should never have happened. Ever. And my sister will be using the $15 credit she received from corporate to see whether you have made improvements in your customer-facing staff. I was at this Starbucks not too long ago and just wanted to say what horrible service I was given. To start off I waited 20 minutes for 2 coffees. Only reason why they were taking too long was because all the baristas were just horse-playing and messing around. To be fair, some of this is personal taste but I did find it strange. + REALLY nice interior space initially -- high ceilings, lots of natural light. + Cute patio outside. A bit small but still, nice to have an outdoor space. * Study room off to the side. Nice that they have a study room, but it does seem cramped and claustrophobic. - Almost no interior seating other than the cramped study room. They have this big beautiful space but very few tables. This must be a design decision -- maybe to create more feeling of space? - Less clean than most other Starbucks. The handicapped table immediately upon entry was pretty dirty. The floor unswept. The sugars when passed to me (they aren't out for customers to self-serve) were wet. - No one was in line and yet, it took the two employees a while to stop cleaning and take my order. I thought this was strange. I thought at first maybe they were closing up and that's why? But it seems like that wasn't it. - They were out of stirrers. Really? This is Starbucks, not some mom and pop and it wasn't closing time. --- Music. Most Starbucks music ranges from decent background music to downright great chill music I want to Shazam track after track. This location plays deep house. Like polka thump thump thump. Went in today right before 6:30pm for a small drip coffee. Lady told me it's cold, would you like I pour over? I wasn't happy about that, but I said that fine. Total for $2.95, more that was a drip coffee would have been. Not my fault you don't keep up with that. I use to work at Starbucks over 8 years ago. I'm not happy she just didn't charge me for a small drip. I ask for half n half because they kept absolutely no creamer or sugar out. When I finally go to my coffee, walked outside, and took I sip, I would have prefer a little but of more creamer. So I got back inside to the counter where they hand you your drinks and the male with the black curly hair, serves someone their drink, looks right me, and turns around and start chatting with his friends. I then say excuse me, he states to give him a minute. He does give me the half and half like I ask. However all, I'd never go back. First, there were two people behind who also asked for dripped coffee, yet got a pour over. That's your sign to just keep drip ready. Second, keep the gosh darn creamer and sugar out. Was here to study and there was a homeless guy inside and this redhead talked to him so wonderfully and kindly. She brought out some resources for him and was so patient. I tried talking to him and he wasnt really responsive so im really happy she helped him. That aside. Service was fine. The usual starbucks. I talked on the phone with a Starbucks specialist about my claim (the barista was hostile toward me while I was awaiting for my mobile order and I got sick and had to go to the emergency room (ER) after I consumed my usual order at the Starbucks location I have been going to for years). The specialist said they couldn't pay my medical bills (which is completely fine!), but the specialist kept talking about how I should have gotten the drink/cup tested while as I at the ER. The drink that I told him I already consumed, so nothing to test and my throat was closing up, so bringing an empty cup to get tested was not my number one priority. He then questioned when I bought the drink and insisted that the date and time that I ordered a drink was wrong even though it was a mobile order that was time stamped. He also accused me of going back to Starbucks that night, which I couldn't have because I was in the ER. He also went on a tangent about how I should use my Starbucks reward points. The specialist consistently talked over and raise his voice with me and told me that there was no way Starbucks could help me (when all I wanted was an apology and no money), since the drink was never sent to a lab and tested. On Thursday, March 17,2022 This was my first time visiting this location.. I ordered a venti espresso (triple shots) with syrup shots with soy milk. Normally at other locations they fill the soy up to mid top. I just assume all this location did it that way. When I got my drink it it was not filled even halfway, I asked the barista if she could fill it a little more .. i was not expecting to be lectured by two out of the three baristas at the same time. It was first time I've ever been lectured for just asking if I can "adding more milk" apparently it's goes against Starbucks policy.. This definitely not it, yes we understand that there is policy in place but there's another way to go about it then to make someone feel overwhelmed and uncomfortable... Then one of the baristas blamed all of this on their authoritarian of a store manager which was completely unprofessional as well. Clean and modern with a friendly staff, ample and comfortable seating, convenient location and nice patio for summer evening cappuccinos (make mine with an extra shot and bone dry). Coffee prep counter is always well stocked and clean. Obligatory Starbucks swag are well stocked and organized (because we all need a plastic coffee tumbler that looks like a paper cup). I've been hearing about Starbucks Evenings for awhile, but have not came across a store carrying it out, until now. And I wanted to like it, I really did. Honestly, their food did not look enticing or worthy, whatsoever. During Starbucks Evenings happy hour 4-7pm Craft Beers are $4 and Wine is $5. My overall impression is that this is not a super popular option. I mean, who would want to come to Starbucks for a happy hour, right? Unless you're desperate for a bite and a glass of wine, which this craving can easily be satisfied at any pub, bar, restaurant, or cafe nearby. For fast food, considering the quality, Starbucks prices really bite. Everything comes frozen, individually packaged in plastic, and it's warmed up in the convection oven upon your order. Just like their breakfast sandwiches and other food. Unfortunately, that is not my idea of a happy hour, or any evening food, for that matter. I've been here MANY times and have had nothing but good service. What could they do better? Well.... They put a "BROKEN" sign on on of the two bathrooms but it turns out that it's not broken. It has its own key code which only the staff know, so it's effectively reserved for staff. Understandable in the wake of the SBUX corporate's woke posturing. Now staff are required to let in any non-paying riffraff in the spirit of appeasing BLM. To run a successful business, SBUX needs to make customers AND staff happy. That means keeping out sketchy homeless drug users, no matter what their skin color. Staff shouldn't be forced to clear out drug needles and homeless poopstains in the bathrooms. Kidding Seating: There is a nice little area with umbrellas and outside seating. The only downside is that your view is of the beautiful cars and parking lot. Quite lovely. There is also a nice amount of seating inside and the entire building structure is raised so you feel kind of tall while inside....not really...but as a shorter person I enjoy pretending to feel tall no matter how it is achieved. Ambiance: This location has a nice, open feeling about it with high seating. At about 10:30 AM on a Tuesday, it was fairly crowded, but the crowds may die down after the "new" feeling wears off. To me ,these days, new Starbucks=another locale for La Boulange pastries. Never was into their coffee. However, not all Starbucks are equal. This one has a Clover machine and that equals the appearance of better and rarer coffee you wont see at other branches. This is like all other Starbucks except for the seating arrangements. I recommend you sit on the patio. WIFI reaches outside and they have comfy couches. I usually come here for coffee meetings. Coffee meetings = My colleagues and I drink coffee and chat at hyper speed about work. :) We like to sit at the big table in the back. This review is long overdue. This Starbucks is great and convenient to grab a quick coffee (easy to park one's car at the front and grab a coffee to go) or to grab a drink and stay there to work. There is lots of parking and a few buses that stop around the area. It is clean and not too crowded compared to other Starbucks I have been to. Shout out to Amir, the barista who I often see working there. He remembers people's names and makes the effort to help as much as he can while making and delivering the much-needed drinks from coffee to tea. He is super friendly and always asks how people are doing. My usual go to for Starbucks include the breakfast sandwiches, green tea latte, and the teas. You cannot go wrong with any of their breakfast sandwiches - they taste so yummy and filling for breakfast. I have tried several different places but Starbucks is consistently great. The green tea latte is pretty good - you can taste the matcha and if you ask for fewer pumps of the syrup, it is not too sweet. The teas are pretty good if you are not feeling coffee or don't drink coffee like myself. I usually sip on these drinks and find a spot in this nicely spaced out Starbucks to work. read more
