It was cold out, so after walking the mall for a while I came into Starbucks to warm up. There was plenty of people, but when I ordered via app, I got my order pretty quickly. There was a spot to sit on the couch, perfect. My latte and blueberry muffin were delish. My only complaint was that I marked the muffin to NOT be warmed up, but they warmed it up anyway. I checked the label and it did say Not Warmed. Oh well. My son came in later on after shopping and ordered a matcha latte and enjoyed it. Perfect amount of froth and temperature. While staying in North Charleston, I found a Starbucks down the street for my wife and I to have daily fixes. Located at the Tanger Outlets right smack dab in the middle of the layout so you have to walk regardless from the parking lot, this Starbucks has a solid crew that had out drinks ready from our mobile order. They made my wife's London Fog Latte well while my cold brew was dependable as always. There hasn't been a Starbucks that has screwed up a cold brew unless they were out of it. This location was class. Ambiance, was very brightly lit but it was easy to navigate immediately to the mobile order counter. Stopped in today and really didn't love the experience. It's clear that they are prioritizing the mobile orders. There was only one person ahead of me in line and she waited at least 10 minutes for her drink, meanwhile they were calling mobile order after mobile order. Starbucks needs to learn that someone waiting for their order after placing it at the counter is going to measure their experience strictly by seeing who is getting their order before them, and when I see people strolling into the store and everything's waiting for them, and the in-person orders have to wait, that's a problem. It's also fairly chaotic to be waiting for your order and people are just jumping in front of you to get their to-go orders. I rarely go to Starbucks and when I do, it's usually at an airport, and I don't care much for their coffee anyways, but a bad experience like this will just discourage me from coming in even more. I was here at this Starbucks location in Tanger Outlets near the Charleston international airport. It was a brisk Thursday in February 2023. The ambiance was chill and nice. It was a quiet day so far and was happy to kickstart my vacation here with a trenta black tea lemonade from Starbucks. The store itself wasn't busy and ended up spending about 20 minutes here waiting for a friend to show up. Then another friend 10 minutes after meeting the first friend. I ended up not getting my drink until after the first meeting and it was perfectly timed. I secured a seat next to the entrance and connected to the Starbucks WiFi while waiting. I enjoyed the Starbucks WiFi since the signal is usually strong and I can surf the internet without problems and it's already fast and optimized. The service here is friendly and casual, while being professional at the same time. During my experience here at this Starbucks though, it was interesting to hear the staff talking about their personal lives as they worked. Not sure if that's normal but I just usually try to not listen too much. It is what it is. The overall experience here at this particular Starbucks location was amusing, casual, happy, and welcoming. I was on vacation and it was cool to hit up Starbucks first before venturing off for the rest of the day. The store itself is quite comfortable and I know I could just sit and lounge here for an entire day, if I wanted to. It's very chill here to do things while having a Starbucks drink to set the mood. I'm glad that many of Starbucks locations including this one, allow patrons to use the tables / space like a library or a meeting space. It definitely makes coming to Starbucks more than just picking up drinks. It's a lifestyle in a sense, if you can sum it up like that. During my experience here at this North Charleston Starbucks location, it was soothing and nice to unwind after 10+ hrs of travel from Honolulu. The moments spent here while waiting for my friends was nice and satisfying. For the most part though, coming here to this Starbucks was good. While I could have found a Starbucks kiosk inside the Charleston international airport prior to leaving, it would have been cheaper to come to this one at the Tanger Outlets than at the airport itself. This specific Starbucks store is located in the Tanger Outlets in North Charleston, South Carolina. Its physical address is 4840 Tanger Outlet Boulevard. It took a little time to find it in the middle of the outlet mall, but we found it after looking at the directory. Even my friend who used to live in Charleston for 5 years didn't know this place existed. Lol that was funny. As far as pricing goes, it's generally cheaper than that of Starbucks in Honolulu. So, it was nice to recapture that price difference. 50 cents or so from what I was used to. It was nice. As far as parking goes, the Tanger outlet mall boasts an excellent amount of parking for those who frequent the mall. One of my friends found parking that's pretty close to the entrance, so I didn't have to walk too far out to her car after meeting up at this Starbucks. If you are loving the CARTA bus, I believe route 10 makes a stop near or at the Tanger Outlets from either the airport or from downtown Charleston. If you need your Starbucks fix and don't want to pay airport prices, consider coming here to this location prior to your departure or after your arrival like how I did. It was pretty cool to sit down here at this Starbucks to decompress after a whirlwind of travel and have my trenta black tea drink. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.5 stars for the prices, compared to Honolulu. 3.5 stars for the service. 4.5 stars for the ambiance. Well - being located in the outlets you would suspect some issues in terms of being able to produce the level of quality usually at these, but then again- it isn't a stand it's an actual store. Ordered my usual green tea frapp with soy and whipped cream, and unfortunately the amount of matcha in this was lackluster. There was little to no flavor in it and really this was one of the most disappointing drinks I've gotten from a Bucks in quite awhile. read more

Huge line, no napkins, trash on floor, tables needing to be wiped down, several items we're out of stock, wait time for drink was much longer than usual. This Starbucks frequently gets my order entirely wrong. I used the app to order a green tea latte, but a chai tea latte was waiting on me.

With the $75 Espresso Tumbler we obtained from Christmas, this was one of the many Starbucks we frequented. During January, we were allowed to come and go as we wished and order as many Espresso drinks using our re-fillable Tumbler. Overall, we probably tried every Espresso drink on the menu, from Lattes, Café Mochas to Caramel Macchiato. We like them all. Service: Most of the time, the baristas were nice and friendly. There were a few times they messed up our drink completely. We drove around again and they fixed them. Location: Brand new Starbucks in a brand new shopping center. Get your drink, shop at Harris Teeter, buy some dog food next door, then go to Moes, Jersey Mikes, Marco's Pizza, or Chinese when your done. There's also a nail place, hallmark, and Marshalls in the same shopping center. Not to mention, you can go pick up the new frig or washer and dryer next door at Lowes. :) read more

They have outdoor seating, wifi and are centrally located. It is near the food market, but unfortunately many of the food vendors have closed shop. I don't expect much out of a Starbucks ... just two things. Over-roasted coffee and an accurately-prepared order. So imagine my surprise when I order a large latte with skim and an extra shot and I get chai tea. Maybe it was because I refuse to use their silly naming conventions, or because I'm not using the proper South Carolina hipster accent. But I didn't take it back. I saw the guy ring up an extra shot and the barista announced that I had a "Dirty Chai with Skim" ... so is a "Dirty Chai" an espresso shot in chai tea? Although I find Starbucks coffee to be extremely average, I do think their chai tea is excellent. And the addition of a shot of espresso was nice. So I won't knock them for the wrong order and hold them at my usual "A-OK" Starbucks rating because they may have inadvertently introduced me to my new favorite Starbucks drink. read more

Anyways the point of this unfortunate 2 stars was cause i was very upset with my drink. I ordered a venti passion lemonade ice tea sweeten. This lady made it for me and it was perfect. Sadly i dont remember her name but she was awesome, friendly and attentive. Id go back for her and the drink SHE made for me... So thats exactly what i did. Not to mention my family devoured the drink and i wanted another. I went in and got the same girl as my cashier. I ordered grande but light ice since i had just ordered the venti no more than 20 minutes ago. With ice still stacked in the venti. This guy ended up makin my drink instead. He was singing and as hes making my drink and im watching him make the wrong drink (its a pink drink not green) and as he realises he throws it away.. Good job for realizing guy. Then proceeds to make the drink i ordered but i did order light ice. So he finishes my drink with a shit ton ice and hands it to me. i said im sorry but i asked for light ice. Then he opens the lid and pour some of my drink out. I watch as my drink starts go down the simk . Then about 5 cubes of ice fell out then closes the lid and hands it to me.... Are you serious right now!?!?. I asked for light ice not light drink. If i wanted less drink i woulda asked for less drink. Shit i coulda pour that out myself. How hard would it have been to grab a strainer or a spoon and scooped some ice out. Anyways i was livid. We've all had moments where starbucks messed up our order. Ive patiently waited for a mocha frapp for over 45 minutes because they wrote my order wrong on my cup which just had ice. But i told them and they fixed it.
