This Starbucks knows how to work. It is routinely busy in the morning and they crank out the drinks in an efficient manner. The overall service is friendly with standard greets, thanks and more. It's nice to see the location working with a proper number of staff too. Good location with outdoor seating, but the interior could be bigger for the customer traffic. This is a Starbucks like every other Starbucks. The one big, major, positive difference being that they're staff seems extra friendly and they seem to have mastered the morning drive-thru demand. I'm not saying the drive-thru is speedy. It's not McDonald's. But if that's your expectation then maybe you shouldn't be going to a place that makes custom coffee to order and gets absolutely slammed every morning. Maybe you should just stick with drip coffee at home. But if you don't mind waiting about 10 minutes in a long, long, LONG line of cars in the morning, then this Starbucks is great. I ordered my usual iced vanilla latte and it was delicious as usual! I went to the drive through and the wait wasn't very long at all. When I arrived at the window the presenter was very nice and we had a small conversation. It was a really pleasant experience! I drove away with a smile on my face! read more

Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came ... but nobody here knew my name, and they only seemed slightly enthusiastic that I came ... I didn't even order the freaky unicorn drink either ... oh well ... anyway, I did order a new cold brew that tasted like smoked coconuts, and was happy with the jolt of caffeine that it gave me ... they were clean on the inside and outside, which is always a plus if you want me to come back ... parking was semi-dangerous though as cars are flying around corners (not literally flying, that would be weird) and don't seem to care that your reverse lights are on and you're halfway pulled out ... this is by no fault of those inside of Starbucks, I just felt like sharing. read more

I'm a fan of this Starbucks. They are quick and speedy and right in the middle of my daily commute to work. You can usually find a pretty long line during the mornings and in the afternoons. Heck, this place is usually bustling at all hours. The service is always great just like most Starbucks. The baristas are friendly and witty. The customers must be pretty great as well. A few weeks back this location was all over the news for having almost 200 customer pay it forward for the next person at the drive thru. Article says this happens often, but never had they seen it continue for that long. One complaint is that this Starbucks doesn't always have the newest snacks when they frist debut. I've been wanitng to try a Bistro Box lunch, but haven't been able to find one. read more

4/14/17 I was staying at a hotel up the street that served some pretty bad coffee, so I came here in the morning. I didn't notice the Panera Bread very nearby, which was my mistake, so I ended up going here for my iced coffee. The first morning they were out of cold brewed coffee, which is unfortunate. I am not sure how that happens, but it did. I noticed there were about three other people who ordered the cold brewed in the time I was there and were told "We can do the iced coffee with a shot of espresso and it will be the same thing." Huh? How does that work? I ended up just getting the regular iced coffee. It was okay but I much prefer the cold brewed. I was able to get some of that on the second morning, but both mornings took forever to get my beverage. It wasn't even that busy either. The best thing about this Starbucks is that they have the new Google Wifi which is hella fast. It's not large inside and there aren't very many tables, but it is open late and they have a drive through that is open 24/7. The seating they do have is comfortable. It is convenient to the outlets and the hotels nearby. The parking is good as well. Staff here has always been friendly and efficient. read more

Typical Starbuck's - which is good. But..... this one has a drive through AND it opens at 4:30 AM on weekdays! From what I saw on my quick stop in, there wasn't a lot of comfy seating, mostly wooden chairs and small tables. I visited this store more than a dozen times now, I rather visit the one in Rivers next to the Panda Express, but here we go. The drive thru is much faster these days. I ordered an old fashion donut and they refused to warm it up for me, claiming the glaze would come off. They agree to do it after I indicated all Starbucks I have previously visited warm the donuts up without a problem. This is a bit odd...the staff member seemed upset and while she agreed to do it, the manager was called. The manager then stated they had a few accidents therefore in that particular store they don't like to warm the donuts up because of the glaze. I won't be back. read more

The line to order shouldn't be confusing, but I guess it must be, because people kept asking if we were in line, or they tried to cut in front of us. A fine coffee shop! Upon finding myself in North Charleston one splendid Sunday afternoon, in need of some quality coffee to go with my lunch, I wound up in this Starbucks -- and coffee I received! The baristas were as friendly as they were fast, and before I knew it, I was sipping good cold-brew and eating good food and reading a good book, all while North Charlestonians bustled here and there -- marvelous! The patio was wonderfully sun-struck, and once I'd gotten my vitamin D for the day, the dining room, though not the biggest (nor the smallest), was equally agreeable. What's more, the building was clean and atmospheric, and the men's room was well-maintained. All in all, I was quite pleased with this particular Starbucks location, and would gladly return. The manager refused to speak to me about a refund that was promised to me the day before by Hannah (who didn't "write my order and name in the book"). When I came into the store Hannah acted like she never heard of me, and the manager was yelling at me for no reason in front of everyone from the beginning. Chakee the manager was horrible, yelling at me for no reason with an attitude and she said "this is just how I speak to everyone" which is a bigger issue within itself. Chakee said I was wasting her time even though we only spoke for less than 5 minutes, and I was just trying to calmly explain what happened. She kept cutting me off, yelling over me, and was extremely rude. I made sure to report her to corporate for her inappropriate behavior because this was astounding. I do not know what is going on with her, but she definitely was taking her issues out on the customers, and I'm sure that I am not the only person she has done this to. Even when I called Corporate they were shocked that a store manager would do this. I definitely do not recommend this store since Chakee is going to deny you service if you ask for a refund when they give you a cup of milk and water instead of a coffee. And seeing the other reviews for Chakee here and elsewhere, CLEARLY Chakee needs a few more lessons in customer service and effective leadership. read more

This Starbucks is exceedingly busy almost all the time. They have a drive-thru window that has a line of cars during all hours of operation. With that said, they have probably the highest number of employees I've ever seen at a Starbucks, and two cappuccino machines working. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. I overheard a really nerdy Star-Wars conversation between the barista's , which I found funny and entertaining. My only gripe is with the lack of space to sit. It's a small establishment. The tables are hap-haphazardly arranged (or should I say, pushed off to the side). I was in the area, and wanted to do some work on my laptop. The wifi is free and fast, but the tables are small and round - not enough space for laptop, coffee, paperwork, etc. There are only a couple of seats outside. It's a great place to stop in, or drive up, grab a 'cino and go. I don't recommend loitering. read more

This place seems adverse to pedestrians considering trying to leave the establishment any other way than a car is a risky endeavor. Not only is there no pedestrian warning for vehicles exiting the drive-thru, the patio is a breath away from being a haphazard parking spot for the cars that scramble through the parking lot. But these are all minor considering I like coffee so this Starbucks is a shade above "meh" instead of an avoidance. read more

Needs to have more than one cashier at all times. Not cashiers grinding coffee. Make other people do that and take the orders to get people in and out. This Starbucks is in a pretty good location in that it is conveniently located rather close to the airport. It is also close to a big shopping area. Things I like about this Starbucks are that it has a drive thru and the staff is always friendly. They have also never messed up my drink order. Best part of having to stay at the Embassy Suites -- a DRIVE THRU location (that had recently opened). I'm a pretty big fan of Starbucks and have spent a lot of money on my frappuccinos but for some reason this store in particular seems to hate me. I order the same java Chip frappuccino on every visit, and often watch all the other customers who were in line with me leave before me. Apparently I should be lazy and use the drive thru window since their drinks always show up before mine also though. Meanwhile I go to the Starbucks inside Harris Teeter and the barista remembers me, and starts making my drink while I'm ordering it. Furthermore whenever it's taken longer than usual to make my drink, it is recognized and true customer service is demonstrated. I always come on Monday night after working a 14 hr day. I get a venti chi-tea. Tonight they were out of venti cups. You understandably it's the end of the day. When they take my order he states I would have to have a grande. I ask if they could make it in a trenta cup. Well I proceeded to get told not only by the guy taking my order, but the girl changing the sign that they can't do that for a chi-tea, only iced coffees & such. I don't get it, can you not make a venti in the trenta cup? I understand they have procedures but what about customer service? read more

This is one of the best Starbucks I've been to- the employees were very friendly and personable and we enjoyed our experience there. I believe folks are mistakenly leaving reviews for this Starbucks location under a different listing. This Starbucks is on International Blvd., across from the coliseum. The other Starbucks is located in the Tanger outlet shopping area. THIS Starbucks is the one that folks are raving about! This is the one with the drive thru window, friendly baristas, comfortable seating area, outdoor patio, etc. It can be fairly busy at times, being located so closely to the hotels, but they are reasonably quick with the drink orders and keep the line flowing. The patio is a great place to sit in the late afternoon and people watch! Definitely my favorite Starbucks in the Charleston area. read more

AWESOME service. I had questions about which drink I could order had higher caffeine content, and the cashier was able to answer my questions down to the milligrams of caffeine per drink. Most places would've gotten annoyed at a customer for having so many questions, but this location was extremely nice and helpful! Also made an A+ cup of cold brew. Sitting in the drive thru for 10 minutes and Cashier doesn't give back your debit card after having you tell them no when they ask if you want a receipt then cashier inside has a attitude when you come all the way back to retrieve it like it's my fault your employee didn't return my property thru their slow drive thru service! read more
