While I was visiting, a mother and her young daughter (probably around seven or eight) came in, and the daughter was so curious about how the coffee was made. It was really nice to see the staff take the time to walk them through everything--explaining the photos on the wall, the different types of beans, how they're grown, and where they source them from. It created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Experiences like that really stand out, and it's clear they care about both their craft and their customers. I'll definitely be going back again.

The first time we went was early afternoon on a weekday, and they were already sold out of all baked goods. Since we were looking for a snack and a place to sit and relax, we didn't stay. We also noted that the seating inside is rather limited, and it was already occupied. Hubby went there again this morning, to give it a second chance, (Saturday at 8:45) and was told they don't put the baked goods out until 9 AM. He then asked for a mocha but apparently they don't serve normal coffee drinks. Instead, they have a menu of house created specialty drinks. He left. As much as I wanted to love this place, I'm just not looking for expensive high-end coffees on the regular. And, it doesn't make sense to me that on a Saturday morning, when people want to pick up coffee and a breakfast snack on their way to run errands, it wouldn't be available. So if you're going to visit, you'll run the risk of it either being too crowded to sit inside and relax, arriving too early for breakfast, or arriving too late and having everything sold out. It's a little bit too hit and miss for me. Giving them two stars because it's a brand new space and the employees are friendly.
