Biggby Coffee is a gem! We went Sunday afternoon & I ordered a sweet foam pumpkin cold brew. My husband got an iced coffee & a sausage, egg, cream cheese bagel sandwich. I was able to snag a few bites. It was delicious! Warm & filling, it was a well-made sandwich. My cold brew was killer as well. And bonus if you're active military--they offer $1 off drinks over 20 ounces. We'll definitely be back. I want to try the turkey & havarti cheese bagel next! read more

What's better than a piping hot cup of fresh Joe, or... for those who defy the norm, iced coffee? I can think of many things and being a former comedian, I'll refrain from stating. However, what tires my bones to the core is the inauthenticity of people that have taken over coffee culture; with their man-buns, little lap tops writing "the next great American novel," forearmed tattooed and blue haired activist that... Oh sorry, I got off topic a bit, shades of living in Austin TX. That said, I see the environment at Biggby set up to cater to those people, yet the new gen hippy takeover hasn't started. No, what I see from this dainty coffee bar are inviting pastel-colored walls, light toned wood chairs and tables, crayon inspired specials written on the windows and where ever along with their merch being pushed dead in front. It's an ok vibe in here and the people are simple, thus my whole rant about generation 3.14 isn't applicable here. As for the staff they're great and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a lot of younger staff were working so I tried to spark up a conversation. Specifically, if she's tried Kopi Luwak (google it) and if she liked it. She had no idea what I was talking about so I switched to Taylor Swift, to which the conversation picked up. Concern for this generation resonated in my head, but hey at least we were talking, and she didn't ask to chat via snap chat! I kid... I kid. The staff here are very nice and they were playing 80s music (see how I dated myself?) which "I can name that song in three notes" and did. While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu. When I read the Butter bear latte stood out and I knew that was what I wanted. The butterscotch punched me in the mouth as a "you've never met someone like me before" love tap. The caramel snuck up from behind and smoothed out the experience while the coffee kept the band playing nice together. Scanning their menu, Biggby does commit to giving something different a real go and I applaud them for it. In summary, Biggby grinds their beans to order and this really enhances the quality of their coffee. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by with enthusiastic employees and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. I tried Biggby coffee the other day. Personally, I think it is an alright coffee shop (I ordered a black iced coffee). The staff is nice. However, they prioritize the drivethru, so if you are in a rush do not go inside. Additionally, if you want to work/do school work at a coffee shop, this place does not have good wifi. It is "available" but the staff told me it does not work. I know my review sounds harsh but Biggby didnt stand out to me (and that's okay). Starbucks, unfortunely, does it better read more

After trying Biggby, I get the allure. They've got all sorts of coffee drink variations with a drive through for convenience. If that's your gig, this might be your place. I ordered a black coffee, and it was ok, not outstanding. Not really piping hot, and not having much depth of flavor. As a plain coffee guy, I'll go elsewhere. read more

Call me a glutton for punishment but every time I try to give this place another try something goes wrong. While customer service was good upon entering, I was greeted ect.. it quickly went down hill when the cashier was unable to figure out how to void a coupon and began venting about how she would now have to ring the order up again, displaying noticeable attitude. Well call me crazy but customer service is the reason you are working here. I have literally worked in customer service and managed customer service teams for several years in high pressure environments like the DOD and managing stress, (if this is considered stress) is a part of the job!!! My customers never saw me vent, or complain and they loved me, requested to work with me by name, great relationships were built that contributed to my organization's bottom line. I'm sick of all the excuses for rude customer service, such as being short staffed ect. (This place was not crowded) I too have worked short staffed and kept it professional with customers. Perhaps more training is needed with some members of the staff...... On a lighter note the barista made my drink well and it was the perfect temperature :) read more

Stopped by today for a Pumpkin Spice Latte following a Barre class. The barista was extremely friendly and personable. Latte was one of the best I've had. Very creamy and the spice wasn't over the top, which it can be at some places. A little higher price point, but will pay more for a local spot! read more

Other coffee spots in town have NOTHING on Biggby! The number of latte and smoothie options are basically unlimited (Butter bear is my fav) and the taste is FAR superior to other places. Never bitter coffee. You can't beat their hot food either. Did I mention the staff? Super friendly helpful if you need a suggestion for a new drink to try. This is my favorite chain coffee shop in the area. I love their sugar free mocha iced coffee. The drive through is small and you have to drive around the building. There's not a lot of parking and you might have to park at the ACE hardware and walk over! The location could be bigger. read more

The drinks are always good but most times (like today) they will hand me a drink that's leaking all over and make me have to ask for napkins. Today the girl seemed so surprised that I needed one. What do they say, "You had just one job...!" I went into the 8465 Dorchester Rd., N. Charleston store this week and ordered a latte with no foam. I then sat down and used my phone for about five minutes before going to pick up the drink. As soon as I touched the cup I realized it was still way too hot to the touch. Five. Minutes. Later. Anyone who orders espresso based drinks knows that if the milk is overheated it means burnt shots. I took a sip anyway and just as I suspected, burnt shots. Unless it's at a Starbucks I never order a remake. Why? Because if the novice who made it wrong the first time does the remake, the odds are high it will be wrong twice. If the second one is still off I don't feel comfortable asking for a third remake or my money back. It's just too much hassle. That said, it's a SIX DOLLAR drink So I walked up to the cashier, explained to her that the espresso shots were burnt and asked for my money back. She had this dumbfounded look on her face, like a deer in the headlights, where she didn't move or say anything. I was puzzled so I then asked, "Do you understand what I am asking for?" I wasn't being mean or acting in an irritated way. It was a sincere question based on her reaction. At that point another woman who must have been the manager said, "Sir. There's no need to talk to her in an aggressive manner." Oh good grief! I have more important things to get upset about, but now a little bit perturbed and said, "Young lady. Please don't talk to me that way. You haven't seen aggravated. Now please give me my money back." After she gave me my money back she asked me to leave the store. I said, "Ok. I mean, why would I stay?" Anyway, I won't be going back. There's a place just a couple of miles north up Dorchester Rd. that has much better coffee and freshly made baked goods. If you want a gourmet coffee experience with friendly staff and down-to-earth ownership please pay them a visit. They are welcoming and always ready to serve you delicious, skillfully made coffee. My husband actually introduced me to this company because he was a big fan. I actually posted my order one day to my social media and was pleasantly surprised by the ownership reaching out to me thanking me for the post. I will say this makes a big impression to know that they care so much about their customers. This isn't just me talking nice about them though because my husband has been coming to them for years. One word: scrumptious! We love all Biggbys! Not just for the delicious warm bragels and delectable mochas. But also for the friendly faces and bright upbeat atmosphere. Their large mocha is actually large and my husband and I love to share one and split two of their bragels. It's the perfect little morning pick me up. Sometimes the wait is a little long but of course I always show up when there are 9 other bagel orders (lol) Fascinatingly enough, the baby changing station in the restroom was the cleanest one I think I've ever seen which isn't usually something would think to review but it's the little things... When I first moved here, everyone mentioned Bigby Coffee to me so I had to try it. While I am not that enamored by their coffee, I do love their breakfast. Their egg and cheese bagel is my absolute favorite. The bagels are perfectly baked. The texture is chewy but soft and toasted just the right amount. They put on a slather of cream cheese and the outside is lightly coated in butter. They also offer options other than dairy for milk and don't charge extra for it. They also have awesome daily specials. Monday and Wednesday they have $3 tall hot/iced lattes! You can upgrade to a grande or super 50 cents per size! Frozen is also an extra 50 cents. Tuesday and Sunday are BOGO on any grande or super specialty beverage. Thursday is $1 off any grande or super specialty beverage. read more

I go to Biggby coffee once a week after visiting my chiropractor down the street. When my go to coffee chain stopped stocking their skinny mocha sauce, I went on a casual hunt to find it. To my delight Biggby has a good sugar-free mocha! So I order a medium iced coffee with sugar-free mocha, no added cream or sugar. Then I head home and add my heavy cream (which is not generally available at coffee shops). The drive through service is always congenial and accurate. I'll be back. read more

Not impressed. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn't do it for me. For one, the menu was very confusing. I wanted just a regular iced coffee but didn't see it on the menu. But after I paid I saw an in store advertisement for one, and my fiancé pointed out there was another menu on the counter. I wish the menu was all together to keep the organization. Second, the drink itself. Since I didn't see iced coffee, I ordered an iced latte: butter bear. The flavor was really good, but there were coffee grounds at the bottom which really put me off. I enjoyed the beverage until I got grounds in my drink and no longer drank it. Third, it was very mediocre. Nothing to really WOW me. The bathrooms and decor were cute but nothing spectacular. Also the prices are definitely on the higher side, which I don't mind for a quality product. But coffee grounds in my drink is not a quality product. I also would have asked the cashier about iced coffee but she looked extremely busy and didn't want to bother her. OVERALL: Will I come back? Maybe, to try the iced coffee that I now know that they have. But I won't go out of my way. read more

I always head out to Biggby when I am in Michigan but when I found out they have this in Summerville, while I was traveling, I made the 5 mile trek (and got me 5 mins late for my meeting). My first time inside of a Bigby and I'm glad I picked this location. The workers are all so kind and welcoming. The place itself just feels inviting and I could see myself coming back here once a week to get a Golden Honey Latte and curl up in one of the chairs with a good book. Very disappointed to get there and find that the lobby was closed for walk-in business. Made a special trip for a first time visit after seeing their yard signs posted all over the highways. Was looking to find a new place to relax with bagels and good coffee. Didn't get a chance to try them. Drive thru just doesn't cut it for a first time visit. No way to see their offerings. Well the location is ideal in a busy shopping plaza. The interior is clean with plenty tables to lounge. However the service was horrible!! I ordered a latte and set at a table and pulled out my work. The drink was made relatively quickly since there was no line and they were not busy. There were two other couples in the establishment sitting in the comfy chairs and at a table. I bring this up because the one of the four baristas, called out my drink order and when I looked up said it was mine. She did not bring it over!!! But brought over everyone else's! Wow? First off, let me say this.....the service there is outstanding!! I put this first because the SECOND I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly young woman, whom later introduced herself as Autumn (like the season) haha. As I asked Autumn to help me decide, she smirked and said, "well....do you like coffee?" I couldn't help but smile because if she only knew! I'm pretty sure if I had a brother, I would trade him for a coffee! haha. Well, as I answered her question, she asked how I typically like my coffee; sweet, bold, etc. We came to decide on the Butter Bear....caramel and butterscotch. Need I say more? I ordered it iced and fell in LOVE! It was deliciously aromatic with a rich coffee flavor, dancing in sync with the sweetness of butterscotch and smoothness of caramel. The names were a nice change from the normal names given to coffee. Yes, this is a small thing, but I liked it! I found it refreshing having to rethink my ways of ordering a coffee! haha. I loved the flavor, environment, and customer service so much, that I immediately signed up for a frequent buyer card! I almost feel guilty for writing this review inside of a Starbucks!
