This starbucks normally exceeds my expectations. Just don't ask them to warm up a pastry, they won't do it.

The attitude you get from this place is horrible. My 5th attempt to shop here and always they are closed early, front is locked and you have to drive from the next parking lot, or they are short on staff, etc. don't waste your time trying to do business here. Sadly enough the management doesn't read the reviews or they would take an active role in making better decisions to remain open for business for the advertised business hours and stop allowing the employees shut down early. read more

We are visiting Orange Beach from out of town. My senior citizen mother loves Starbucks and asked me to stop. We parked our car and we're headed in the direction of the doors. A very rude employee stuck her head out of the drive thru window and yelled at us that they were closed and to never touch their orange cones again!?!! What? It was 2pm. The Starbucks at home doesn't close until much later like 9pm. We didn't even get close enough to the doors to see their scheduled times and to realize they were closed before the employee rudely yelled at us through the window. We still have no idea what the heck she was talking about moving the orange cones? This lady was rude and is doing a horrible job representing Starbucks. Thank goodness the Starbuck employees back at home do not behave this way. read more

We were in some desperate need of caffeine before the long trip back to Atlanta after a long weekend at the beach. It was a toss up between McDonald's breakfast or Starbucks. We made the right choice by going with some Starbucks. The parking at this location is fairly tight as it shares a pretty small parking lot with other businesses off of Gulf Shores Parkway. On a Sunday where most families have the same idea as us as they depart Gulf shores, this place was really busy. The baristas were able to move the line through at a decent pace. I grabbed a venti coffee with a splash of coconut milk, my wife a caramel frap, and a croissant for the kids. Compared to other Starbucks I've visited, this location was clean, decent in size, and plentiful tables if you want to hang out. read more

This was my worst experience at any Starbucks I have been to. I am with my family on vacation and decided to stop for some coffee. Like I expected, the store was in complete chaos. But one thing that I was disappointed in was the employees were very rude. Our online app was not working, after many tries, so we stood in line and ordered. After 20 minutes of waiting, one employee finally tells us that our order was lost but she would make them right away. After getting most of our order, one drink came out as a grande even though we ordered venti. After alerting them that we did in fact order a different size, the worker asked us if she had to make the other one with an eye roll. She reluctantly did. Each time my family travels to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area in Alabama this Starbucks is a must to visit! The employees always engage each customer by name and go out of their way to ensure you leave with a smile. My last visit was about a month ago. They had shortened hours due to Covid and was super busy with the drive thru being the only way to service customers. Even though the line was long they still took time to acknowledged our dog Soffe! Offered her a pup cup and even mentioned how cute she was while lapping it up! (Although, we know that! Ha!) Our last trip we stayed in gulf shores but found ourselves driving 15 mins to orange beach to visit these lovely baristas! Make the drive during your next stay- this location is second to none. read more

I always order ahead using the app because I order a specialty frap and it's easier to do it on there. My drink was made PERFECTLY. It tasted delicious. They were super fast, too! This place is a flying circus... Lots of people running around in green aprons... No coffee... Waffle House is more organized and efficient. That last sentence should explain everything you need to know about this Starbucks. We waited over half an hour for two drinks and two sandwiches. TL;DR: Ordered drink, given wrong drink. Asked for replacement and replacement drink was wrong too. Cashiers and Baristas either don't know what they are doing or don't care. My girlfriend and I stopped in to order a couple iced coffee drinks. Once we got to the register, I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and she ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew, light on the vanilla sweet cream. The cashier didn't know how to ring up a special order, so we watched her verbally tell the baristas how to modify a drink. It was pretty busy, so I knew this did not bode well. When we got our drinks, it was clear that while the cold brew did appear to have the correct ingredients, was not light on any of them as we had requested. Additionally, the sticker on the drink did not indicate the special request. I went back to the barista who had handed me the drinks, asking him if a special order would usually be indicated on the ticket. He replied, "Yes, it should," and graciously offered to remake the drink for me. I appreciated the offer and told him that we had ordered half the regular amount of vanilla sweet cream. He asked if this was "half the vanilla, or half the cream?" I was surprised because the description of the drink indicates that "vanilla sweet cream" is one ingredient. I later learned that it is a mix of heavy cream and vanilla syrup. I told him we wanted half the usual amount of cream and half the amount of vanilla. I then watched him proceed to add vanilla syrup and half-and-half. The drink did not taste right, but since I had already had it remade once I felt too uncomfortable to ask for a third. If either the cashiers were just trained properly or the baristas just followed their recipes, this wouldn't have happened, and definitely wouldn't have happened twice. I'll be giving more patronage to the local coffee shops just around the corner, like The Southern Grind, BuzzCatz, and even Foam in Gulf Shores. read more

Drive thru wrapped around the building, inside just as busy. Then was informed that no breakfast items were being sold this morning. No signs making people aware prior to getting to the register. Now one stop turns into 2, one for coffee and one for breakfast. When I get my vanilla sweet cream, after they hand it to me, the manager tells me that they are actually out is the sweet cream but she added some extra sweetener. I don't think they were prepared for a holiday weekend, staffing or supplies. read more

This is a drive thru experience only. I came here about 15 minutes ago and got a cranberry bliss bar and a frappe and a water. She was nice and put the water in the big cup instead of just giving me the small cup of water. They were average on time. I did come at 1:20 in the afternoon though. It's right next to our condo so it's nice I don't have to make a 20 minute drive to foley to get Starbucks. Glad I came. read more

Worst Starbucks experience I've had! Went there twice In two days with mobile orders. I'm used to Starbucks employees greeting people when they walk in which was not done. In addition the first day my mobile order wasn't ready. The second day, no one greeted me, and finally when I was acknowledged the girl disdainfully asked my name and then slid the coffees across the counter. And then I had to ask for the rest of my order. She also saw I had several beverages and didn't ask if I needed a carrier, all things which my neighborhood Starbucks usually does. Stopped by for coffee and snack on way out of town this morning and the drive thru girl was amazing, helpful, and just so friendly. I want to love this Starbucks because of it's convenient location, but they need to get it together. I've been to this particular Starbucks at least 5-6 times in the past 3 months and every time I get a drink, there is entirely too much creamer. You can't taste the coffee or the flavoring. If I wanted to drink milk or half and half, I would order just that. :( read more

I am a Starbucks junkie and frequent the Foley location often, but thought I would try this location for a change. It is very nice inside and the decor looks great, very clean and well kept. The drinks are good but my hot beverage was only lukewarm and I had to wait for it much longer than usual. I sat there and watched many people leave very frustrated because of the long wait. The sad thing was they gave me my warmed up breakfast sandwich as soon as I paid but by the time I got my lukewarm beverage my sandwich was cold. read more

Out here in the Orange Beach/ Perdido area there are no good local coffeehouses. I always try to support local places, yet I found that all of the local places nearest to me provided terrible customer service, bad coffee, and an uninviting atmosphere. I started studying at the Starbucks more often, and out here is one of the best locations there is. The customer service is phenomenal, they will turn down the music if I ask to study, and out of "tourist season" it is very quiet and inviting. I consider myself a terrible coffee-snob, but when you pay for a cup of coffee you also pay for a place to go and the experience of enjoying it. I never thought I would say this, but this Starbucks in Orange Beach delivers on that. read more

Coffee was great, the wait was the only complaint that I had. I am here during the Hangout Fest which I know is an unusual busy time for the area, but they were understaffed for the busy weekend. i come here pretty much everyday and the coffee is starbucks standard good but i just don't think they have employees that know what they're doing.. i waited 5 minutes today for a girl to check if they had a sandwich after asking me 4 separate times which sandwich i said (they didn't have it). i ordered an açaí refresher strawberry the other day which standardly comes with strawberries, but it didn't. ordered a coffee with sweet cream the other day and got it black. apparently the drive thru computer was down the other day so the attendant was back and forth trying to do everyone on her own. just small, easy to work out issues. read more
