The customer service was terrible. When I ordered a drink, the waiter's attitude towards the bill was very bad, and I waited for over 20 minutes even though it wasn't busy. Only after I complained did the waiter announce they would make my drink immediately. I saw them prepare my drink carelessly and without attention to detail. This particular Starbucks is located in the Colonial Town Plaza just off of East Colonial Drive. It is convenient to both the downtown Orlando area as well as Baldwin Park. Since it is located in a shopping mall, parking is plentiful. Service was OK and it was an overall decent experience, however I have always viewed Starbucks as overpriced and underwhelming, especially when you consider the price. All in all, if you are a fan of Starbucks, this is as good as any other location. This Starbucks was very busy on both of my recent visits. The staff kept the line moving fairly quick and were pleasant while doing so. We ordered egg bites, strawberry refresher, cake pop, pumpkin cream cold brew and a peach tea. All of the drinks were made exactly as expected and the egg bites were hot and fresh. I've studied at a few Starbucks locations in Orlando, and so far this is my favorite location to study in! It is very spacious with plenty of tables and chairs, although it does get occasional waves of many visitors. Lots of parking available since it's located in a major shopping plaza on Colonial. The staff were very friendly and made the drinks very swiftly, so the lines didn't get too long. I got my go-to, the mango dragonfruit refresher--no problems there--but they were out of the chickpea protein boxes, so I had to improvise and get other things that were available. Overall, the environment is great for grab-and-go visits, public meetings or study time, but they aren't always completely stocked on some non-drink options. read more

I rarely leave reviews but todays barista totally made my day. Sadly I didn't get her name. I am pregnant and feel sick all the time. What I'm in the mood for is very specific. I wanted a smoothie but they're not on the menu. She offered to come up with something but I didn't want to be difficult so I just ordered a matcha. When she brought my husband and I our drink, she also had made us a smoothie to try for free. It hit the spot. And that's such a gift when you're pregnant and sick. Man, I want to love this Starbucks, I really do. I just can't love it. It's okay. They are tucked into the middle of the Colonial Plaza shopping center and the parking is a bit tough. The lot itself has plenty of parking, but the drivers are a bit crazy, so cross to a business at your own risk. Given that they don't have a drive thru, and don't get a lot of business base customers, they don't have a lot of hustle here. When I order, it usually takes a while to get my drink and I have leaned towards the mobile option here more often than not. I prefer the staff at my closer location since they seem to remember my face, my order, and have hustle. Overall: B Okay in a pinch. read more

I love this Starbucks because the staff is always so laid back and they don't rush me-cuz I never know what I want or how I want it or what size to get and they always make me feel very relaxed and ok with being inept at ordering :-) I usually just get a frappuccino but they always serve it up just as promised and it tastes the same every time. I've been to some Starbucks locations where my frapps have tasted "off" like they didn't add the right amount of syrup or mix it properly- but never here! There's even a drive-thru store across Colonial from this location and I don't like the service there as well. Also there's lots of seating space inside and outside and there's ample parking so even if there's a crowd, it doesn't feel crowded. I'd say it's my favorite Orlando store. read more

I've been to the Starbucks at the target store in Sodo many times. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to serve you. I was surprised today when I went there and found out that the frozen coffee drinks were BOGO. Although, I thought BOGO meant buy one get one free, but Starbucks BOGO is buy one get 1/2 off. Needless to say, I enjoyed my frozen coffee Frappuccino . It was a good refreshing drink on a hot day. And I got to share the second one with my husband who is coming to pick me up. Very friendly, chill staff and large space compared to some other Starbucks. There is a large study table in the back near the restrooms. There are also bar seatings along the front of the shop. There are plenty of plugs underneath the bar counters as well. Excellent wifi. EXCELLENT...This Starbx has a large outdoor seating area. It definitely gets packed, even during random hours of the day when you think people would be at work. WHERE ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE COMING FROM?! This is a very large Starbucks located at the Colonial Plaza shopping area. The baristas are very friendly, very knowledgeable. There are big fluffy chairs to sit on. There's also a large dining room table where groups of people can get together or if you need to spread out and do some work you can do so. I also noticed lots of power outlets. And experience that I had during this visit, I asked what I thought was in the Reast for a utensil, he turned out to be one of their traveling maintenance workers. He was very friendly, very kind, and very gracious, and made an effort to give me my fork, although he was there to service the espresso machine. Love this Starbucks, even though there is another one near Target that is closer, I always enjoy coming to this one for the large amount of work space it has. The baristas have always been on top of things, even in "high crowd" moments, plus they have always been a pleasant bunch to talk to. Not sure if its the same baristas from the 2011 review but I'd be shocked if they were. The location is pretty nice as well if the inside is packed because its a great location to take your coffee in and out of the stores around it. There is a little more charm in going here rather than Barnes and Noble, but both are always on my list. read more

A friend and I ordered our drinks and then decided to socially distance away from the 6 other people standing waiting for their drinks. We sat at a table in the back corner of the store. Every table had signs that said no seating. The barista immediately told us we "couldn't sit inside, only outside, but we can stand inside." So he made us get up and stand up back in the front near everybody else, as he walked pickup orders right by us to the front table. This makes absolutely 0 sense and the guy wasn't even nice about it. I thought you crazy liberals were all about "science". Making me stand up is really gonna save the world. While, sure, you can claim every Starbucks is the same by design (which makes sense for consistency of product and service), there are still some variations and it all has to do with the staffing. This is why this Starbucks gets 5 stars without hesitation. Not only do they remember me by name even though I'm a sporadic customer, but they also remember important details like I always get soy because I have a deadly dairy allergy. The one time they accidentally made my drink with regular milk, they apologized profusely, remade it, and gave me a card for a free drink the next time. And it was a genuine feeling bad, not just "don't sue us" because it's not their company. So they really care. Anyway, 5 stars for the people. Accessibility, a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and consistent drinks are what keep me returning to this Starbucks. When I have time to kill before heading into work, I'll stop by here for a caffeinated pick-me-up and a chance to rest my feet. It's in the middle of a fairly large and busy shopping plaza, so while parking is rarely an issue, there can be a fair amount of traffic entering and exiting the plaza. The wait can sometimes be a little long when everyone and their brother decides to converge on this Starbucks at the same time, but I can't fault them for having a busy location. There is no drive-thru, which may be a deterrent to some, but there's a Starbucks with a drive-thru a mile or so east on Colonial. The vibe of this one reminds me more of Washington state, which may be why I prefer it, come to think of it. read more

This is a good Starbucks location off Colonial Drive, right in the Colonial Plaza area. If I remember correctly, the place used to be a Barnie's. However, somebody thought that the Starbucks located inside nearby Barnes and Noble wasn't good enough, so here we are. The baristas work fast and are always nice. Wifi is free. They serve pastries, sandwiches, and bagels behind the counter. They have 2 or 3 daily roasts ready to go. So yes, it's a Starbucks. It's what you want, isn't it? =) Parking is plenty and they have outside seating. We usually bring our corgi with us and sit at one of the tables in front. Fact: I like their Sumatra. Great location for a Starbuck! Whether I'm waiting for my car at Goodyear or stopping for a bite at Too Jay's, I always make a point to grab a tea at this Starbucks. They have a large outdoor patio with umbrella or grab a seat inside. This is a hopping spot for people to grab their coffee and go since the parking is great. The staff is fast and efficient here.
