Their hot chocolate is the best! I love their cozy Christmas decor as well. The workers are always polite and friendly.

Today, Carolyn took the time to get to know me and asked how I like my drink made. It was a great question to make sure my drink tasted how I like it. My drink is always ready for my commute to work. She also said it's best to get there before the 7am-9am rush. Thanks

Good ol' Starbucks to the rescue when I needed some food and tea on the go. Service was friendly and fast as expected.

Shout out to the employees at this Starbucks location. I've been coming here regularly for about 2 years with no problems and today on a Friday morning during the rush another store shut down forcing all online orders to this location. These baristas absolutely killed it. In a stressful situation they reassured folks theirs drinks would be out, had someone managing expectations and answering questions and when I got my drink it tasted perfect. Kudos to y'all for keeping it together and I hope my fellow customers tipped! Keep up the good work!

This is my nearby Starbucks- consistently good but today really impressed! I got to chatting with the barista about the drink I ordered that included peach flavor. She told me about her favorite and gifted me with a free sample! I'm a convert- strawberry lemonade with the peach added is a new fave! It is sweet but delish!! Give it a try.

I ordered a cold brew with some shots and add flavoring...

I spend a stupid amount of money at Starbucks. I went to this location almost every day for 2 years...month after month they got worse and worse and now I don't even waste my time or money. I cannot even tell you how many times I've waited OVER 30 minutes for a coffee here. There are several only a few minutes away that are way more worth your time.

I love my little Starbucks ! It's nice and pretty busy sometimes but the workers are really nice and genuine. They've always put their all in their work Ans I always love coming here :)

Based on the reviews for this location, I obviously had a much different experience than everyone else. While my co-workers were grabbing lunch at Fuzzy's, I decided to treat myself to a latte. I was not in any hurry and I was the only one standing at the inside counter. I was immediately greeted and welcomed to the store. The employee was so friendly, laid back, and genuine which is exactly my style. We chatted for a moment about each other day which was nice for her to take the time since they weren't busy. Again, I appreciate these types of interactions for the easiest transactions. It was a short lived visit and I wish I would have noticed the employee's name to give her kudos!

I liked the spacious, open, modern, inviting dining area at this new location. The service at the counter was fast and somewhat friendly. There was a good selection of sandwiches and pastries, a drive-thru, and a patio. Very nice.

Does your Starbucks have Barista corner! Like they do here

Starbucks are all the same but the staff makes the difference, just like Deb, who greets you and take your order, this place is hopping in the morning time just like other Starbucks, it's easy to get to and leave, on the corner is Walgreens, the staff is very friendly too, outdoor seating is several of them, there is a lady who sits outside with her older dog, just lost one of two, very nice, my dog couldn't sit still like other dogs, inside on the wall it says One person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time

Boe says thanks for all the pupachinos!

That's on the expensive side for a latte, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Everything about the experience was quick and efficient. The line moved fast, my drink came out quickly, and I was in and out with no issues. The shop itself seemed like a great place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend. Since it was such a nice day, I decided to sit outside. My first sip immediately stood out because of the texture. It was probably the smoothest coffee I've ever had; silky, creamy, and almost pillowy on the tongue. Unfortunately, that's where most of my praise ends. The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price. I ordered a vanilla latte, but I couldn't taste any vanilla at all and got virtually no sweetness from the drink. Overall, it's not bad coffee by any means, and the texture was genuinely impressive. But for nearly $9, I expected a lot more flavor. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't come back at that price point.

It's shaded because it's on the backside. I ended up getting an iced Blue Moon Latte, Full Moon sweetness and hot moon matcha to go. Both with oat milk. Their signature sweet cream and oak coffee was good. Since I asked for light ice, it was definitely more milk so the flavor was light, just a hint. My mom liked her matcha just fine.

I've never had a bad latte from Bear Necessities. The fact that other coffee shops in KC (won't…read morename any names...) get more business is absolutely ridiculous because IMHO this place has the BEST espresso. It's smooth every time, not bitter or watery, and the baristas always use the perfect amount of syrup. I love the housemade bourbon vanilla. Service is great, and the ambience is quiet and cozy. If you're a coffee snob like me, try this hidden gem!

They have good coffee there. I believe they may make their syrups. They do not have any sugar-free syrups. I used to love their brown sugar latte, but they did not have that syrup this time so I just got vanilla and it was good. This is a quiet coffee shop that is good for reading or working on a laptop. Their prices are in the range of most coffee shops. They have a variety of seating from seating against the wall with a table in front and chairs on the opposite side. They have quite a few high tops with stools, but no backs on them. Then there are a few high tops that do have backs. They also have a large couch, which is what we sat at. They have an outdoor couch by the front door that people can use. I'm not sure if they share the patio seating with Jason's deli next-door. The only suggestion I have is that the floor needs to be swept more often because each time I've been in there's quite a few crumbs. Also, the couch probably needed to be vacuumed and the cushion straightened.

Huge shoutout to Becca, she was incredibly knowledgeable about the coffee and took the time to walk me through options, then helped me pick out a matcha drink that was exactly my taste. Their other location has colorful seating, artwork, with tables & chairs woven into a forest-like wonderland of plants. This one? A table. A gray backdrop. Sure there are plants, but they're a ways away and it felt more like hanging out in a midwestern garage. The other issue that has me knocking it down some stars is that this has become THE place to get warm. Sure we have our furnaces blasting in January, or a fireplace roaring, but you know that kind of late spring, humid warm? This is usually it, but I have to say I was borderline cold on my last visit. It felt clammy and more "March spring" than "May spring." Coffee is EXCELLENT from Thou Mayest, and it's hard to go wrong. Wifi was not all that strong and ran into a few issues on a video call, but is relatively sufficient for most day-to-day work items if you choose to work from here. If it's equidistant, I would say go to the Shawnee location for sure. If this is the closest one, it's not all bad, but I would love to see some real warmth and color in here to help complete the escape-winter-energy that we all need during this cold, gray stretch.

After several visits over the years, I've only had their coffee and pastries, not their cafe food. The interior is cute and there's often a queue upon entering to order at the counter, but don't let that intimidate you because it moves fast. I recommend getting some of their water on tap (both still and sparkling water are available) if you have to wait! If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. They clearly care about providing you a good experience with a strong cup of coffee. Give them a shot if you're in downtown Overland Park!

It's near terrible food definitely doesn't stop people from coming in, again, you are in one of the nicest areas of downtown OP and have limited coffee competition, so I guess food quality isn't your number one concern.

Maybe it's the former barista in me, but I just never know what I'm gonna walk into. I was bit extra hesitant as I knew from reading reviews that this place was a bit off the beaten path, and as I routed myself there and found my car meandering through a suburban office parking lot maze I became even more nervous about my plan to work from here. All of that being said, once I got close to the coffeeshop itself I saw a sign clearly visible from the lot which was my first breath of relief. The signage is spectacular for a fairly hidden spot. Yes, you need to know it's here, but you will find it rest assured! If you don't see the sign keep hunting. The nice thing about it being in an office park is that there is ample parking. I was able to park and walk right in. The inside is modern but inviting, and at 9am I was able to have my pick of the tables. The day I was there was nice and I had my laptop so I went outside to their patio. I worked out there for about an hour and when I came inside to take a video call it was packed! I was able to snag a table and purchased a sparkling water before using their wifi (which was great!). Now to the coffee - I had a dirty chai and it was honestly wonderful. No notes.
