I saw people studying for school, meeting to catch up, doing Bible study, working on resumes etc. it's great to see so many people doing various things at a local place. Stepped in here to their newest location in Shawnee, (No Yelp Entry yet). They have done great at converting this place into an amazing little coffee shop with a drive through. We were able to get our coffee and coffee drinks (Not pictured) with almost record time. And they were quick and friendly about it even though the staff was just learning their system. I didn't order any coffee nor food items since this was my 7th stop at a coffee shop in the Overland Park/Shawnee Mission area. Met Jason the owner who was very friendly, hospitable and informative. He shared info about how he and his wife started this coffee shop about ) years ago pre-COVID. He also gave info where I can find a YouTube video about Kansas City coffee culture. This coffee shop is huge to have a gathering area with tables and chairs to mingle, play chess (met wonderful group of girls and one of the girls' mom, Jessie), work. There are even a couple of small rooms for you to work privately away from the main central space. They offer a variety of good items from pastries to crepes. We absolutely love the atmosphere of this entire coffee shop! The crêpe was phenomenal, love the taste and lightness of the crêpe and for this reason alone with will definitely return. The coffee was okay but not great. It was heavy, even though we ordered it with 2% milk, it had the heaviness of whole or even half and half! Next time, we will try skim to see if it makes a difference. The service was great. We found that the person taking our order was sweet and calm and collected even for it being busy. There is ample seating and it is relaxing, but do you remember that part in the movie Elf where a blindfolded Jolie takes a sip of coffee and says "It tastes like a crappy cup" and when she removes the blindfold says, "It IS a crappy cup of coffee." Well, this place is kind of like that. We would have been better suited to just brew up a cup of Folgers at home. There's two sides to it where the order & pickup counter, seating and food service provided and the other, called The Gathering Place, provides a more cozy & intimate area for conversation and 2 office style rooms for anyone wanting privacy for work. The place is very plant friendly with uplifting wall quotes as decor too. Came in today before work for a pick me up! I was instantly surprised by the adorable coffee shop tucked away in a somewhat unassuming strip mall type area. Upon entering, the staff were so kind and welcoming immediately while still giving me time to check out the menu and pastry case. I ended up ordering an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. It was served up quickly but I had a chance to meander around while I waited, this place has a whole extra seating area with little study/call rooms! The coffee was GREAT. Full of flavor and not over the top sweet, but for those with a sweet tooth they have extra sweetener at the self serve station. I get a Breve every time... the 1/2&1/2 to espresso ratio is perfection. Not too hot with delicious creamy foam. This visit I had pour over coffee--something I hadn't tried before: House Blend (beans from Brazil if memory serves me correctly). Delicious!! The Veggie Burrito was tasty too! Service was fabulous--Layla (sp?) and Emma were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Wasn't too crowded when I arrived, but did begin filling on my way out. My friend and I are doing our own Java Journey in the KC Metro. We are trying to visit coffeehouses that one or neither of of us have been to. Last Thursday was week 1, and for our 1st stop we went to Brew Haha Coffeehouse and it was wonderful! The coffeehouse was decorated so nicely and was very inviting. Great place to get coffee, eat and chat. They have 2 rooms to sit and enjoy. I ordered an egg, bacon & cheese crepe. It was amazing. Sometimes they have brought food to us and sometimes you have to check to see if ready. I tried the chai scone which was pretty dry but maybe that's how scones are. I would go back for the yummy crepes. They close at 2pm on weekends. read more

Love this coffee shop. Pasties are amazing and gluten free (you wouldn't really know the difference if you think you're opposed to gluten free!) The drip coffee is wonderful but I also have had a great improvised version of a certain "shaken espresso " drink there and even though I love the original, the barista there made one even better! The food was AMAZING! The poptart was to die for. My husband and I were stoked that our son wouldn't try it lol The people behind the counter were so pleasant. Def made my experience. Brew Haha is a charming mom and pop coffee shop located in an unassuming strip mall near 103rd and 69 Hwy. I first found out about Brew Haha via their mobile coffee truck as for a summer or two, especially during covid, they would come and frequent our neighborhood on Saturday mornings. I can't tell you how many times I walked by kicking myself for not having any cash or credit cards on hand.. and also for not setting up my Apple pay! Needless to say, they have been on my list for a while so I was excited to give them a try recently. Firstly, I'll say that the strip mall they are located in is pretty abysmal. It really gives off end times vibes with vacant or really random neighboring shops. It's near Skate City, which if you grew up in or around Overland Park, you know all about this from school pizza and skate parties. Sadly, not much has changed in this little area off the highway since the 90s and it shows. I think this is potentially why I hadn't ever tried this place up until now, there really isn't anything around it that I frequent. What this location does have going for it though, is how easy it is to get to it from the highway. If you're in the area or even just passing through, it would be very convenient pitstop. All of this being said, when myself and a friend stopped by on a Sunday morning it was PACKED, and I'm not exaggerating. I was frankly shocked because there isn't much happening around here, and I quickly realized it's because all the cars in the large parking lot were clearly for Brew Haha. I think locals who live in the surrounding neighborhoods (maybe even my own neighbors) have developed something of a cult following for this little hidden gem. I think the look of surprise was evident on my face, because a few folks had looks like, oh this is normal, what were you expecting? haha. The line went fairly fast and I was really impressed with the down home feel of the place, the amazing looking pastries, and the staff. The woman working the counter I think must have been the owner. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and really just great at what she was doing. To me, this is their biggest strength - they clearly are a coffee shop with incredible heart and dedication to their community, which I really love. My friend and I both ordered the speciality Irish latte and while I liked it, it was a tad sweet for my taste, but it certainly did taste good. Overall, I liked the coffee, I didn't love it, but I'd love to come back and try again, especially if I spot their coffee truck in my neighborhood, now that I have Apple Pay set up! read more

This is a great place to go when you're looking for pretty good coffee somewhere a little quieter than Pilgrim or Black Dog. While the drinks I've tried have been solid, the food has been more disappointing. I've tried some of the sandwiches here as well as the stratas (mini egg casseroles), and neither have been quite what I was hoping. The My Antonia (spinach, tomato, turkey, bacon) pressed sandwich I had recently was quite wet (it shows a bit in the photos) and overbuttered but otherwise not very rich in flavor, and the stratas tend to come out dry. Eating here isn't a bad option if you don't want to go elsewhere, but don't come here for the food. read more

I tried them as they had a food truck at the Lenexa Market. They had what appeared to be their full drink menu available on the truck. I tried a Teddy Graham flavored latte. Service was fast and friendly. The latte wasn't bad, more cinnamon taste than graham cracker. Also tried a snickerdoodle cookie, as they had about 6 or so baked items to choose from. It was hard & definitely over cooked, wasn't a fan of it. Next time I'm in the area, will try the brick and mortar location to see if there is a difference. read more

I stopped into this coffee shop prior to a doctor appointment down the street. I loved the size of this coffee shop because there is a generous amount of seating and various nooks and crannies to relax. They had a good choice of coffees and teas on their menu as well as food items. I also liked that they had outdoor seating and the baristas were nice. a special plus was having a menu right by the door that you could pick up and look at prior to walking up front to order. I've been to Brew Haha a couple times, making sure I get an accurate view of how things work here. I'll start with the positives: the employees are all super friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I also was super excited to see they had energy bites/balls that didn't include peanut butter (crazy how rare that is), even though they were a little pricy. I get a latte every coffee shop I go in, ordering it the exact same way, not only because I like it, but it gives me a good base to compare each shop to. This one, if you like super strong bitter coffee flavor, you'll love the lattes. I, however, prefer a smoother drink so this one just didn't do it for me. There is a large room in the back that allows a lot of space for people working or meeting people and the front seems to be quieter. It gets super packed, so definitely be prepared to wait for a seat or have a back up plan. read more

Great, spacious spot for some good coffee, a bite to eat with choices from sandwiches to pastries. I had the Nutty Irishman, a hazelnut type of latte which was pretty good. They have so many seating options, and a room dedicated to just that away from the busy ordering and coffee brewing if you'd prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle. They have large, plug-in strips available seemingly everywhere for you to work or just recharge your gadgets. Their are plants adorning every wall and nook and crannies which brings warmth to the place beyond the cup of coffee you're sipping on. This place has gown down a lot in my estimation, but I'll start with credit where it's due: still a cozy vibe. A great place for students to get together and study, with lots of tables and live plants throughout the place. And while the drip coffee is not fresh (it's dispensed like McClains or Revo), it's still pretty good. I also like that they don't play music very loud. That said, major detractors: It's not filthy but it's not clean either. The food here is not fresh. There are THREE microwaves behind the coffee bar, and while I haven't had anything that goes through them, I still have never eaten food or pastry hear that didn't make me sick within the hour. The first time I thought it might be a fluke, but it's not. 0They do have food for different allergy sensitivities (like dairy-free and gluten-free), but nothing tastes fresh. Food is not the most important thing in coffeehouse like this, but it shouldn't make you sick. This is a solid coffee shop. It is spacious, with a variety of seating options, which I'm always looking for. A couple of major perks for those WFH/remote workers - a printer and 2 private meeting rooms. I often want to work from a coffee shop, but have a private meeting in the middle of the day that prevents me from being out in public - these meeting rooms solve that. Brew Haha also has a wide selection of board games for use - and not just Scrabble, I spied a copy of the trendy and popular Wingspan game. The ambiance is okay. It definitely is giving Christian farmhouse, if that is your vibe. Props for a lot of natural light and plants. read more

This really is a hidden gem of a coffeehouse. Tucked away in a strip mall you might be tempted to drive by. It's worth a stop! They have a great selection of coffee, teas and local pasties. They make their own syrups- I had an iced coconut coffee and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. There is a lot of seating inside and outdoors and lush plants throughout the coffee shop. It had a homey feel and is thoughtfully laid out. I could do without some of the generic "live laugh love" decor throughout- it makes it feel less like a local coffee shop and more of a generic place. Every single space is inviting for friends, conversation and even a large family table! They have beautiful decor arrangements, two semi private study rooms and plenty of natural lighting. It's gorgeous! You can even host events in their expanded space - a baby or bridal shower, grad party, a birthday, etc! And... they make their own syrups! Without any preservatives or added colors. We came across this coffeehouse while out running errands! It was just a good find. The space is huge and offers such a variety of seating. There is seating outside, there are communal tables, there are private rooms if you are needing quiet time to get work done, and there are tables set up for families with games. The coffee was good and I wish we had been able to check out their food menu but we weren't hungry so we made a mental note to come back and try a pastry or crepe. The menu looks great. I love stopping here this past weekend. I ordered an iced Oak Milk Latte - and the barista recommended the teddy graham latte. I am so glad she did! Everything was excellent and not too sweet.
